Well I have sat and twiddled my thumbs whilst waiting for news for far too long long now Mrs. Wuzz and Mrs. HC! I am all twiddled out, obviously the pair of you would have been great to have around in the good ol' days of torturous punishments!!

Well this is my last day to squeeze in a hospital birth before the midwives go on call for me tomorrow, you have no idea how much I am praying that I go in today just so I don't have to have this homebirth!! What a wuss I am! LOL I have a midwife appointment at the surgery this morning and am then planning on a nice looooonnnnnggggggggggggggggg walk round town, if that doesn't shift him then I will have to grin and bear the home birth afterall!!

Hmmmm, can I buy castor oil, curry powder, sperm (), orgasms ( ), pineapples and funny tea in boots do you reckon?!!!

laughalot · 07/11/2006 13:02

LOL nat what are you like, regardless I hope all goes well at midwives.

Wuzz where are you ??????????????????
Hc where are you ????????????????/

NatalieJane · 07/11/2006 15:15

Everything went fine thanks Lota, BP is up a bit, not worryingly high or anything, just up on my normal, and he is officially enagaged, he has been popping in and out for a few weeks, it just happens that he was popped in when she checked so now he is 'officially' in there!

Been into town and made a good proper start for DS's crimbo pressies, carried as much as I could home, then the chemist delivered the gasses (gas and air and oxygen), then next door came round to check I was OK after seeing the NHS car out the front! Just managed to get rid of her in time to hide DS's pressies and catch up on here before I went to get DS from school!!

Bit here, but I am feeling very wet and uncomfortable 'down there', but with all thats gone on this afternoon I didn't have chance for a wee for a couple of hours so I think it might just be that!! But sit tight, I might just make my hospital birth yet!! LOL

How is everyone else doing?

wuzzlefraggle · 07/11/2006 16:32

not had time to check the thread so hope every1 is ok.

baby Anna was born on november 1st at 1:49am, weighing in at 8lb4

had a damn rough labour and birth. after 12 hours in birthing pool wasnt progresin, so had to have my waters broke, was strapped up to the drips that bring on contractions (ouch) ended up using gas and air and pethadine (wish i hadnt, but was bloddy exhasted). didnt tear or anything, but the membrane was stuck inside me so they had to go back in (so to speak) and get it out (only on gas and air which hurt like hell) and i lost 700ml of blood. DH was amazing thru it all too

all in all tho, the baby is happy and healthy and im feeling a little less like ive been kicked in the fanjo with a steel toe cap boot and Anna is gorgeous. big mop of black hair and dark blue/grey eyes at the mo

hope all you lot are good!!

NatalieJane · 07/11/2006 16:37

Awwwww, I have been waiting and waiting and waiting for news!!! LOL

She sounds gorgeous, poor you though sounds a bit bumpy along the way, as you say though you are both fine now. Oooooo I can't wait for pictures and gossip and up dates and everything!!

I am so pleased for you, take extra care of yourself and your family xxx

HopingCat · 08/11/2006 11:31

Hi all.
Sorry to take so long to tell you the news. Our internet stopped working!
I'm home and we have our baby! Isabelle Grace was born at 4.10am on Saturday 4th Nov weighing 7lb 14oz.

I won't scare you all with too many details of labour. Will just say it was 24 hours long, she was back to back, and it ended with ventouse and episiotomy - not very nice at all! Managed with just Tens at home and got to 5cm, then had gas and air plus half a shot of pethidine in hospital. I'm tired but am glad to be home now. First night was hard work as she screamed most of the time but hopefully she'll settle better through the week. Also hoping that my stitches will stop hurting soon.

Congratulations to you too Wuzzle! We ended up being so close to having them on same day!

NatalieJane · 08/11/2006 11:46

Well done and congrats again HC They really are beautiful names

peachygirl · 08/11/2006 18:48

hi nat 9 weeks ans 2 days i think, hows you?? not read any thing yet it will take weks lol

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 09:25

Gosh it is going quickly (though I expect it is taking a life time for you!)

I am OK, silly midwife got my hopes up yesterday and I thought for a while it was starting last night, but still here. Everything is done and ready, I am having a home birth, and the midwives went on call for me from yesterday, my birth pool is all blown up and ready to go, nursery is finished, everything is finished, just need a baby to go with it all now!

How are you feeling?

OP posts:
trace2 · 09/11/2006 09:38

whens you due date?

me not good having probs with blood to thick off to hospital this afternoon

NatalieJane · 09/11/2006 09:46

EDD 29TH, just under 3 weeks away, but I have been having strong regular contractions for nearly 4 weeks, baby was 3/5ths engaged yesterday but has moved further down still since then, I have swollen up like a bloody blow up doll (LOL), and I've been loosing bits of my show for over 4 weeks so I don't think it is going to be too much longer now - I hope!!

Is your blood being too thick a cause for concern for the baby? Can't they give you something to thin the blood?

OP posts:
trace2 · 09/11/2006 09:58

sorry was just reading up lol so soon well be seeing your little un .

yes it can be, but at the moment they just want me sorting out am on low dose asprin at the moment may find out to day if they want to give me a diffrent drug every day through injection! to tell the truth just hoping i dont have to go down that route, but even if i dont when baby comes i will be given warfin as soon as baby is born for 6 six weeks, been here befor with jack.

trace2 · 09/11/2006 10:01

is the swelling nornal? i thought it was a sign of high blood pressure?
