It is all sounding realy good I know it is harder said than done, but try not to get too impatient yet, although everything is deffo moving in the right direction and your daughter could be here by this time tomorrow( !!!!), it could also be a couple of days away, but I am fairly certain you are in pre-labour, so it really isn't going to be too much longer

LMAO, bless him I always really feel for the blokes, my sister thinks I am mad, but I am as worried about what DH will go through on the day, as I am about what I will go through, and that's knowing that he has seen me like it before, so none of it should be a shock!!

First time Dads, I wouldn't like to go through it!!

OP posts:
wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 17:39

yeah its bound to be scary for them too. and dh hates not being able to do anything when im in pain, so god only knows what he'll be like when i start getting proper contractions lol

hmm, what take away to have...kebab? chinese? hmmm

NatalieJane · 27/10/2006 17:49

It has to be a curry surely?!!!

I think it is hard for us to strike the balance between telling them just how much it is hurting, but at the same time not saying anything because they worry! I only let on to DH when I have really bad ones that I can't hide, and when he asks if I am having any contractions I tend to skirt around and just say something like 'every now and then', or 'not too badly' etc. but then I get annoyed sometimes when even though I know he does't know quite how bad they are, he wants me to do something, or even just if he hasn't asked me if I am OK for a little while I start to think 'It's alright for him, he isn't going through it!!!' LMAO, He can't win bless him

i have just ordered chinese lol. i aint had one for ages, but ive made sure to order some curry sauce with it

yeah i know what u mean lol. its frustrating aint it? dh just wants the ball to start rolling now, he's always asking "how far apart are the period pains?" and if they are more than 8 mins apart, you can see he's a little dissapointed (as am i coz i really want to have the baby now).

wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 17:59

okies nat, have a nice shop, will update a little later xox

wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 20:12

period pains aint as frequent now, tho i do still get them every so often. i want things to start properly sooo bad.

NatalieJane · 27/10/2006 23:08

OK quick run through of what you can try.

Sex
Pineapple (though I hear you would have to eat about 7 full ones to make a bit of difference)
Curry
Nipple stimulation
Long walk
Clean windows
Clean oven
Walking up and down the stairs side ways
Having a good old bounce about on the birthing ball
Essential oils, I don't know exactly which ones, but lavender and clary sage spring to mind. I think things like manderin and citrus oils are good for energising.
Castor oil (rather you than me!!!)

I don't think I can think of any more.

Wuzz ................ were are you ?

HopingCat · 30/10/2006 14:03

I've never known Wuzz stay this quiet. She must have had her baby! Can't wait to hear.

NatalieJane · 30/10/2006 14:31

Can you imagine if she comes on tomorrow and says her internet went down and she is still very much pregnant?!! LOL

You'd have thought she'd have had the decency to get MrWuzz to let us all know by now I mean, fancy letting herself wallow in her new baby daughter for days on end... I don't know, what is this world coming to?!!!!

OP posts:
wuzzlefraggle · 30/10/2006 17:39

cough cough

sorry ladies that i havent posted sooner, ive been a little down in the dumps with not knowing whats really going on

went to the midwife this afternoon and she said im 3cm dialated (!!) that the cervix is soft and stretchy and that she could feel the head and could have easily broken my waters. she thinks that the baby will be on its way any time now (she did a sweep too) and has told me that if i want i can go in friday to start the induction process (which she thinks would only be the pessary gel for me)but that she doesnt think that im going to be around till friday oh yeah and she said that it would be unlinkely that i would have blood now (re the plug/show) as by the sounds my show has come away clean (yep, ive had huge amounts of that gross snotty jelly stuff these last 2 days)

since she did the sweep ive had lots of pressure and more pains in my tummy too.

so, how are all you lot? lol

Coriander73 · 30/10/2006 19:37

Oh Wuzz, get on with it lady!!!! So, by this weekend possibly? We're all dying to hear..
