It does sound like she is on the move Wuzz, could still be a couple of days away but I don't think you will need to worry about being induced!

I am going to go and get some lunch, DS is eating loads and loads recently, don't know what the matter is with him! LOL 4 and a half years of him turning his nose up at almost everything we put in front of him, and now we are actually having to be careful that he doesn't get fat!! Kids, you have it all to come Wuzz!! LOL

See you a bit later I expect TC, and don't go into labour without me!!

wuzzlefraggle · 26/10/2006 12:52

lol, chat to you laters nat, and done worry, if i go into labour, i'll be on here posting

lucy, i think the midwife told me 10 movements a day should be felt and if not to phone about it. OOOH i love the Shining too!! Jack Nicholson is brilliant! one flew over the cuckoo's nest is a good one too.

well, fingers crossed that i go into labour naturally. the pains and tightenings must be a good sign

lucy5 · 26/10/2006 13:03

yes i love that that to. Infact that is my one and only claim to fame, I stayed with Nurse Ratchett, well the actress who played her, when I was on holiday as a kid.

NatalieJane · 26/10/2006 13:06

I am back already, he decided on crackers and cold sausages (???? - weirdo child he is!!) anyway, took all of 5 minutes to butter the crackers and so it was an easy lunch I only just got away with it, when I asked him what he wanted, he said pasta, which I don't really mind doing for him, it just takes too long and makes loads of mess!

wuzzlefraggle · 26/10/2006 13:18

welcome back nat and lol @ that very strange dinner

omg, u stayed in the same place as nurse ratchett?? i wanted to clobber her after about 10 mins of the film!

wuzzlefraggle · 26/10/2006 13:21

ok, im off for a little bit to do some more cleaning. will be back a little later xox

NatalieJane · 26/10/2006 13:22

Hey I just thought, have you tried nipple tweaking? That is another thing that is supposed to help, I think they say an hour on each side, sounds a bit painful to me, but it might work!

...not that I was thinking about your nipples or anything ... Oh god I am now...!! LOL

NatalieJane · 26/10/2006 13:23

HopingCat · 27/10/2006 11:47

Hi all. I've got 10 days to go. Getting very frightened at thought of labour, and excited at thought of baby. Hope the excited feeling gets me through the hours of labour.
Hope things happen for you soon Wuzz. I too really don't want a Halloween baby. Have midwives started talking about sweeps yet?

peachygirl · 27/10/2006 11:50

This is all getting very exciting!!!
Hopingcat and wuz Ican't believe it has all gone so quickly

wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 12:09

fingers crossed that im starting off ladies!!

peachygoul · 27/10/2006 12:16

ooooh
new halloween name BTW

NatalieJane · 27/10/2006 14:16

Hello everyone

Wuzz, it sounds like things are really starting to move - time for another update I think

HC, 10 days?!! That seems really scary!!

Peachy, you will soon be catching up with the two of them, the time is just going so quickly.

Well, I had another really bad night last night, I actually didn't have the contractions that badly, but I just couldn't go to bed until I had re-folded the babies clothes, then I got them back out and folded them all in a different way, moved all of the bits and pieces around in his room, all the while getting crosser with myself, I was hardly getting any pain and I was still messing about at silly hours of the night!, Finally decided enough was enough and got into bed about 3.30 just in time for the contractions to kick in big time, worst yet, started timing after about an hour and they were every 3-4 minutes lasting over a minute each, I actually got DH up (and that is the first time I have woken him!) he made us a cup of tea, and we sat there for a couple more hours, but here I am, no more contractions, not even five minutes sleep all night, and no baby either! I am getting very very very very pissed off now.

wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 14:51

had a bath, and in the bath i was still getting tummy pains and tightenings, all beit that the bath was easing them slightly

just got out and yup, they are still there.

Nat - what do your contractions feel like? what im getting is really uncomfortable, but i wouldnt say that they were causing me dire pain or anything. just like nasty period pains.

lucy5 · 27/10/2006 15:12

Ooooh, how exciting! keep us posted! Good luck!

wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 15:15

thanks lucy, will do everyone wish more labour vibes at me!! lol

NatalieJane · 27/10/2006 16:54

Wuzz, any news?

OP posts:
wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 16:58

not really nat...im still getting period pains. i really do wish they would get a bit stronger and closer together tho. im not bothering with timing them now

wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 17:00

they seem to do what they want now...anything between 8 and 15 mins apart (ish) and lots of little ones inbetween the bigger ones

NatalieJane · 27/10/2006 17:06

Oh, um, I think I have said before, when I went into labour last time (remembering I was induced so I don't know if it will be the same this time) I started with very niggly mild period pains in my back at 6 o'clock in the morning, that was a constant ache, it is hard to put a time scale on when it actually changed but by about 11 o'clock-ish, the pain had shifted round the front really deep down low in my belly, and it was 'waves' of pain by then, by 12 o'clock it was proper contractions coming and going, all the while my back was still achy but no where near as obviously as the front, and pressure was building up, and I can only remember tiny bits of things after that, by the time I was aproaching the second stage the pressure was more in my mind than the pain. I don't know if that was because I was worried about pushing the wrong thing out !!! or if it was because I had had a few hours of strong pains and so they had almost blocked themselves out if that makes any sense what so ever?!!

The contractions I am having now, range from the niggly period type pain, up to the point where I can't talk and I really have to concentrate to get through it, by then, if I am stood up or led down on my back, my legs go all weak and wobbly, I get that feeling you get when you have a dodgy belly and you don't know if you are going to be sick or if something is going to come out the other end (IYKWIM?), and sometimes though not often I get really really really bad heart burn at the same time of the contractions.

It is a lovely way to spend the night!!

OP posts:
NatalieJane · 27/10/2006 17:09

...Sorry was answering your question from before about the contractions!!

At your stage, every single one of those contractions will be doing something. Did you try the nipple thing? And sex at this stage would maybe help to regulate the contractions.

Just make sure DH is OK if your waters break all over him, that could be enough to put any man off for life if he wasn't expecting it!!

This is so exciting

OP posts:
wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 17:26

lol nat, no i didnt try the nipple thing after...although they seem to be leaking a lot today. i keep thinking that the niggly pains are going to stop, but as soon as i start thinking they will, more happen...wierd eh?

i think sex will deffinatly be on the cards some time today, and im trying to persuade dh to go to the cash point to get some money so's i can have a take away.

so far today, the things ive been getting are: period pains, tummy tightenings, sicky feelings, very leaky boobs, a hard time walking and lots of pressure on my pelvis. I just wish the pains were more regular and stronger to make it a little more deffinate

wuzzlefraggle · 27/10/2006 17:34

woohoo i win...hes just gone to the cash machine lol.

he's been a gem today, he stayed home from work to look after me (he did dress for work and he left, but 5 mins after he left the house, he foned saying work told him to come home just incase todays the day lol)
