Hi I've been booked in for a C section on the 15th which will be 39+4. I'm fine about it and have to say that the thought of going through hours of labour and then having an enmergency C section is just awful to me (and as the doctor said not good for the baby) so I and DH are qute happy.
Thanks for your kind words jaberwocky

jabberwocky · 01/02/2007 19:59

You're right about that. I did the hours of labor then section first time around. Not fun. With an elective you can go in with hair and make-up all nice and usually bring music with you

NatalieJane · 05/02/2007 13:56

Wuzz, I just searched for her name, and found this on the due in June thread:

hi all not been on in a while again! we have had problems, and didnt really feel like posting,

i had my 20 weeks scan and its chloe i was sure it was a boy, any way they also picked up a problem! they sais we have a Single Umbilical Artery, where they should be two and one vein benn offerd amio, but as am 40 overweight, and have problems with blood it too high a risk to take, so we have to wait until shes born. and i started my clexain injections on thursady too, the hardest bit is injecting my self.

so glad every ones scans was ok, and sorry for moaning just needed to get it off my chest

Fingers crossed for Chloe Trace if you read this.

How is everyone else today? Been a lazy lurker mostly recently. Getting over cold and working at same time = bed by 8:30 for me most nights. I'm pooped. Roll on ML...

trace2 · 19/02/2007 12:49

peachygirl · 19/02/2007 12:51

Hi things a bit hectic here but Maya Peach arrived on Tues 13th feb at 3.11 weighing 5lb 9 oz. We are having some initial feeding problems but are at home and the midwife was happy yesterday. I've written half a birth announcement I'll get it on ASAP

trace2 · 19/02/2007 12:53

congrats peachy are you and maya good?? wow shes tiny ps sore you on something speciel last week too

peachygirl · 19/02/2007 12:58

yeah we're ok , am a little concerned about feeding but trying not to worry too much. We have supplimented her with formula and but she has had two good feeds this morning.
Hows things with you??

Juicylucytoo · 19/02/2007 13:03

Congrats Peachy - wow can't believe it!! Sure you'll sort out the feeding probs soon. Are you in a state of shock / wowed by it? I keep thinking I will be. Bless tiny Maya.

Trace - are you feeling better today after your fall?

All fine here. 26 weeks tomorrow. Quite knackered which may be iron related. Got bloods this week, so should know soon. DH felt Pod kick for the first time yesterday. Was all very sweet.

peachygirl · 19/02/2007 13:09

Hi juicylucy thanks, yeah I am a bit overwhelmed by it all.

trace2 · 19/02/2007 13:10

peachy carnt wait to her your birth story i think her feeding problem will work it self out.

juicy no not really its been a nightmare been trying from 830 to 930 this morning to get in touch with doc! when i did they would put me down for a emegency app at 1150 but i may have to wait am hour there so i said ill ring physio, shes not in till the afternoon, so am giving up, ill just rest as much as posible.

your blood may well be iron are you resting when you can?

Juicylucytoo · 19/02/2007 13:38

yes trying to rest as much as poss, but still at work full-time, so am just sprawling on couch when I get home and going to bed early. Sometimes manage a siesta at the weekend too. Will try to get my bloods done today so I can find out sooner rather than later if I need supplements.

Hope you manage to get hold of your physio today. What a bummer that you're feeling sore . Can't be much fun with a toddler to run after.
