After period type pains getting worse I rang my local epu today. I'm currently awaiting test results to see about a potential blood clotting related problem, so they've booked me in for a scan tomorrow to check everything. Very lovely reassuring woman! I'll be 6 weeks, so not really sure what we'll see.

I think I'm gonna have to tell my head what's happening. Had a doc apt for blood tests (clotting thing) On Tues, and don't really know how else to tell him I've got a hospital apt l. Any ideas?!

misssmilla1 · 28/01/2015 16:09

I'm trying to keep exercising to a) ward off all the food I keep mainlining and b) having decent strength in legs and core is meant to help with labour. I just haven't felt like any hectic classes so doing bodypump and cycling on a stationary bike

genni and drnoble this blog is great for adapting exercise to pregnancy; she's a certified fitness instructor and modified her workouts through her pregnancy. She's also got killerabs, of which I can only dream! blondeponytail.com/workouts/prenatal-fitness/

Snowflake15 · 28/01/2015 16:13

Thanks for link misssmila I have been too scared to exercise but after some encouragement from my mum I got back in the gym this lunchtime! Too it very very easy, but feels good to be back!

So scared about what you can and can't do though so will definitely be checking out that link!Smile

alien11 · 28/01/2015 16:19

tmi question
Has anyone else had an increase in discharge?being paranoid!sorry to hear of pains eallison I hope the scan holds good outcome for you

NordicDreamer · 28/01/2015 16:25

Hello all! I've been rubbish at exercising, I'm impressed with you all :) I'm just so ridiculously tired, all I can manage is walking the dog. And before Christmas I was dancing 3 or 4 times a week, and cycling to work every day!
I had a happy day today, went for an early scan to reassure my anxiety - and all was well :) saw its little arm and leg blobs waving around and listened to the heartbeat. Currently 9+1 and measured 2.2cm! So amazing! The midwife even did a 3d scan for me which was a bit freaky but very cool. And she said seeing the heartbeat and normal size at this stage means it's a 95% chance of continued normal pregnancy development. Yey!
For those worried about telling work - I was so sick at the end of last week I decided to tell my boss in confidence. He was so sweet and I'm really glad I did. I was weirdly emotional and cried a bit though!! Hormones!! It makes it a lot easier for time off going to appointments and nice to know that someone is looking out for me (in case of random fainting or puking episodes!)

NordicDreamer · 28/01/2015 16:26

Alien - YES! I definitely have!

alien11 · 28/01/2015 16:29

That's great nordic!
Would love an early scan but doubt I'll have one. My symptoms are practically non existent! But I am taking being hungry a lot more as a sign.
I have such a long wait until a scan! 4 weeks until booking appt then weeks until scan. Time has stood still for me

Whatabout · 28/01/2015 16:30

Hi delurking nervously..

Sorry to those that have had bad news, I feel for you all.

I am 32, have a one year old (was on the March 2013 thread early on) and am 7.5 weeks gone. Very neurotic about it all and so sure it's going wrong.

Midwife is calling tomorrow with a date for a booking in appointment. I'm so sore and worried my symptoms are disappearing I'm wondering if I am wasting her time. I have lost once before my ds

StrawberryCheese · 28/01/2015 16:46

Alien I'm having increased discharge too. I assumed it was just one of the glamorous pregnancy symptoms!

shinjuku09 · 28/01/2015 16:53

In awe of those of you exercising. Every pg I tell myself I'll carry on then the worst trimester sickness hits. Feel beyond horrendous today with a nasty cold. DH had to work from home to give me some breaks from looking after DD.

Hoping to get back to exercising as soon as I feel better. Probably just very slow jogging and maybe some yoga.

I am keen to meet mums due at similar times as it was so helpful last time but can't do antenatal classes again so considering yoga or aquanatal.

Hope everyone is ok and not feeling too sick!

Mummyboo30 · 28/01/2015 17:20

Squiish that is confusing! When is your booking in appt? If you're really confused, ring them back and get them to explain it to you.
Boo we are pretty similar! I'm due on the 3rd, scan on 2;th and also have a 3 yo girl! :)

Alien yes, it is a completely normal symptom. Don't worry!

Hitting 9 weeks tomorrow, glad to hear about the lowered MC Risk! :)

alien11 · 28/01/2015 17:49

Getting paranoid as hardly any symptoms and way too much time on my hands! I want to have morning sickness or something! Feel fine except tired but then I didn't get a good nights sleep yday. How the devil will I get through another 7/8 weeks?!

Whatabout · 28/01/2015 17:53

Alien it sucks but you just have to do One day at a time. I'm not busy enough at work as my big job for this week and next got cancelled. I wish I could wake up at about 26 weeks!

Anyone else slightly dreading being massive over the summer??

Cornberry · 28/01/2015 18:00

alien please enjoy it! 9 weeks today and I have never been so sick, signed off work and can barely stand up. Time standing still for whole other reason over here! You lucky ladies with fewer symptoms please stop worrying and count yourselves lucky! :)

Jackieharris · 28/01/2015 18:07

Today's been a bit up and down for me.

I didn't feel sick at all-good
Had to leave shops as I was too hot/feeling faint-bad
Did quite a lot of walking in the fresh air-good
Leaned forward now have a pinging twinge at my hip-bad
Had a big healthy dinner-trout, homemade tartare sauce, homemade chips, beetroot, spinach, carrots, Brussels sprouts-good
After dinner felt closest to vomiting I've come so far-bad

Now immobilised in case I feel sore/sick.

MyNameIsSuz · 28/01/2015 18:07

whatabout, I was pregnant over the summer last time too and it was actually kind of great. When my feet swelled I didn't have to pay for bigger shoes because it was flip flop season! I had a crazy amount of body confidence because I just looked like a pregnant woman so didn't feel like I looked fat in summer clothes like I usually do. I didn't have to buy a new coat. I could eat as many mini twisters as I wanted!!!! So you'll be warm, at least so will everyone else so chances are there will be a fan rather than heating Grin

DoctorDonnaNoble · 28/01/2015 18:11

At the minute I'm looking forward to being warm! I'm freezing during the day. I really just can't control my body temperature at the moment Hmm

BizzieBoo · 28/01/2015 18:12

Alien they keep you waiting don't they!! I'm sure everything will be fine. Is this your first? Smile

Boo haha that's quite spookily similar! How have you been feeling? I am feeling dreadful this time - definitely worse than I was with my little girl!

alien11 · 28/01/2015 18:20

bizzieboo nope it's no.2! My dd bday is 28/9/11 and this one edd is 25/9/15 haha.
So I know exactly what it's like to be pregnant over summer. I liked it as bare foot in the garden and I lived in maxi dresses! I'm eyeing up maternity clothes in the sales already but no way am buying for months yet

Treaclepie19 · 28/01/2015 18:21

I'm the same with temp doctordonna, normally I embrace the cold. Atm I just can't cope with the cold!

Maxi dresses with a lovely big bump sounds great :)

(First time mom excitement)

alien11 · 28/01/2015 19:09

treaclepie it's such a wonderful experience :-) hoping for another nice summer where I can just sit in my garden and watch dd run around playing with her things.

Mummyboo30 · 28/01/2015 19:12

b-boo I've been ok this time actually. I've felt more nauseous than I ever did with DD, but nothing has come of it. Otherwise I'm feeling relatively normal! :) much less boob pain this time, except when dd kicked me in one yesterday! Ouch!!Sad

Treaclepie19 · 28/01/2015 19:12

Aww :) sounds lovely.

I'm excited on one hand but on the other I'm fully expecting to go to my scan tomorrow and have a repeat of last time when I miscarried.
Ho hum. I'll have to wait and see.

booboobeedoo11 · 28/01/2015 19:59

Booking in for me is a week on sunday and scan not until the 10th of march! Its really dragging for me but started back at work today so hoping that will maybe make the time go faster! I would really love to go for an early scan as the waiting is killing me but the OH isn't really wanting to, he said we should just be taking things the 'normal' way and going to our 'proper' appointments...don't really think he understands how anxious I am! Thought about just booking one anyway and taking my mum along....but don't think thats really fair ha.

Talking about going back to work....my work shirt is on the verge of not buttoning
over my gigantic boobs and my buttons on my trousers are almost about to pop! Had to unbutton them half way through my shift! 6+4 today...surely that's not right!

DeladionInch · 28/01/2015 20:06

Booking in is a week on Tuesday and scan 2/3
