brickiemum2 thanks! The drop was such a weird sensation, almost like a waterfall effect going down my stomach. Then the pain! I've had some cramping and pain - but nothing like that stabbing..

Anyway - glad to hear it's normal. Thanks again!

ShootTheMoon · 20/01/2015 22:47

Good luck Terrys!

Tallalime · 20/01/2015 22:52

MessyMoo · 21/01/2015 00:47

Good luck terrys

I found this on the Google and thought it was a comforting stat for those having early scans...

Research has shown that if you see a heartbeat at 6 weeks of pregnancy, the chances of the pregnancy continuing are 78%.

A heartbeat at 8 weeks increases the chance of a continuing pregnancy to 98% and at 10 weeks that goes up to 99.4%.

Good luck today terrys. Those stats are very comforting. I am contemplating booking an early scan at 9 weeks because I have no symptoms at all (5 weeks today) and it doesn't feel real.

Meinthecorner · 21/01/2015 07:58

Hello everyone and congratulations! I couldn't sleep last night so did a test at 3am and it confirmed my suspicions. This will be my second and like MessyMoo think my baby will be due on the 28th too.

Choccyhobnob · 21/01/2015 08:11

6 weeks today! Was waiting for the nausea and sickness to magically kick in but nothing yet. Guess I'll have to be content with my big boobs, the odd cramp and feeling starving all the time (oh and the new one as of yesterday, constipation, lovely!). 2 weeks til my early scan - good luck Terrys x

TheMidnightHour · 21/01/2015 08:18

Morning all!
chuch I'm glad telling your dad went OK. Hope your grandma is happy when you tell her! Maybe my outlaws will surprise everyone and be reasonable, too.

I appear to be preparing for having a baby by regressing to toddlerhood Grin whining about being tired at 8, refusing to sleep until 11, then up at 5 and now in sore need of a nap (it's only 9). Plus being fussy about food and out growing bras clothes every 10 minutes... Think I was still whining about being tired in my dreams Blush

SpamAnderson · 21/01/2015 08:33

Morning all. Of to the Drs today as my symptoms have completely disappeared over the last couple of days and I've woken up with back pain and pains in my tummy. Chances are all is fine but I'm worrying so much :( I just feel like it happened too quickly for us this time. Hopefully the Dr will take pity on me and do a blood test or send me for a scan. DH has just told me he's got Friday off work so I will probably be paying myself this week so I can pay the extortionate price for a private scan. Anything to stop me worrying for 2 minutes.

ShootTheMoon · 21/01/2015 08:39

Welcome meinthecorner and messymoo -DC2 for me and glad to see people with later EDDs on here. I tested positive so early that I had the last EDD for a while!

I think DH and I have settled on a private scan at 8 weeks so we can (hopefully) tell people a bit early. I always have a shower after my matches with my team so I think they may notice my bloat sooner rather than later! and they won't hesitate to ask in front of everyone.

MisBit1 · 21/01/2015 08:47

Feeling quite annoyed this morning. Think I have a stomach bug, DH was being sick all of yesterday and since the early hours I keep needing to poop. (Sorry if that's tmi!) Anyway I've called school this am as obviously can't go in and be running off to the loo all day (I'm not sure I'd make the drive in without going tbh) and head, who knows about pg, has put a massive guilt trip on me. Sad I already felt guilty about not being there and now I feel even worse.

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 21/01/2015 09:17

MisBit I'm Angry on your behalf, last thing you need is a guilt trip!

HaveTeaWillSurvive · 21/01/2015 09:20

I'm so sick today, have been gagging on and off since 6am and sick a few times - utterly miserable Sad

Really lucky this has coincided with me working from home to receive a delivery so I didn't have to stress about going in. If I feel like this tomorrow morning there is no way I'm leaving the house!

brickiemum2 · 21/01/2015 09:45

I have to get changed in a communal changing room so I think I'm going to be spending the next 6 weeks with my back turned to everyone! Slurping for some reason my belly seems to have gone down a bit this week compared to last. I'm not worried about that though as it wasn't baby bump, just fluid, fat, constipation and Cake Grin

brickiemum2 · 21/01/2015 09:46

Slurping??? Wtf? Think my kindle is haunted lol.

Bollyroo · 21/01/2015 09:47

Wow, what a lot of symptoms everyone has. Hope everyone's ok. Loving the thought of gingerbread syrup and hot milk! Amazing!

DH got so excited about becoming a dad - bit early hey - that he took me off for a massage. Could he be any sweeter? Lurve that man! Happy Wednesday!

Treaclepie19 · 21/01/2015 09:50

5+3 and wishing for symptoms :(

MisBit1 · 21/01/2015 09:57

Thanks HaveTea I thought he was being unreasonable. Sorry you're not feeling great.

Brickie my stomach felt huge last week for many of the same reasons. Don't we get some delightful symptoms!

Spoke to midwife who said I may well just have ms if I'm not being sick like DH as it can come from either end! Lovely!

DoctorDonnaNoble · 21/01/2015 10:08

Reassuring to know that my current issues count as ms! Feeling really wrung out today. Yawned my way through my free and I've got a Drama lesson next :(
