Hi All

Here's what may or may not be our final thread!!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
JacktheLab · 14/01/2015 17:43

I did have lochia for a long while after my first, can't remember how long, but in the great grand scheme of things that was the least of my problems :)

freneticfox · 14/01/2015 18:24

I spoke to customer services on Twitter and they offered me a 10% discount. Pfft. If the pram isn't in store on Friday as promised, I'll be raising merry hell.

It took three (possibly four) attempts for them to deliver the correct furniture, and they ignored our request to help build.. When DH got angry with them, they offered us a £40 voucher. For nearly £1200 worth furniture. After probing them on Twitter, they upped it to £75.

Social media works, y'all.

Memphisbelly · 14/01/2015 18:27

Frenetic well done! They obviously know when not to mess with a pregnant woman!
My friend had an over door explode glass 10 foot across her kitchen they wanted £100 to fix it she went onto their fb page and got it replaced for free within 48 hours and a gift voucher for asda you are right social media is fab forvthis stuff.

Just booked our firdt holiday with baby for July to Centerparcs im so happy Grin

LittleMissSunshine33 · 14/01/2015 18:57

Aww nice Memphis we are going to have a family weekend away in April to get away only Hastings but looking forward to a change of scenery already!

Mini that's a horrid article I think she was trying to be funny!

This one also fills me with dread but I'm sure it's all fine really Shock

jenmcspen · 14/01/2015 20:02

Thread is moving soo fast and I haven't been checking so often so keep feeling like I have lots to catch up on! Trying to get everything sorted before induction now (2 more sleeps - eek!)

Hope everyone is doing okay...frenetic can't believe something else has gone wrong for you! You def deserve the easiest labour and best sleeping baby ever!

At 37+5 I actually feel pretty good, but may just be adrenaline! Finishing DIY jobs and have a day of batch cooking and baking planned tomorrow (may just end up chilling tho!) Last chance for a lie in!

Surf25 · 14/01/2015 20:40

Just checking in, sorry to hear about those of you having stop-start pains etc or awful pgp or problems with orders! So frustrating! I finished work today so am off to bed early to celebrate!! Very much looking forward to having some time to think about what needs organised and to spend some time with my dds. Lots of snow here! Kids loving it! Looked out baby clothes earlier, lovely to see the wee things and discovered lots of neutral 0-3 month stuff so don't think we'll need to buy much. Might read that article - I had bleeding for 7 long weeks after first baby but not for as long with number two. Generally found most things got back to normal, some just longer than others! Hope to participate a bit more in this thread rather than just lurk now that off work!

Surf25 · 14/01/2015 20:41

Oh and baby's bum on right here too! Protests when I use it as a wee shelf for my cuppa!!

freneticfox · 14/01/2015 21:11

If I have an easy baby, I'll be quite happy to put the past few months behind me ;)

Memphis I've never been to Center Parcs, always wanted to go though. We went to a Forest Retreat back in July (while in the throes of morning sickness) but I'd love to do something similar with more in the way of activities!

Bangonthedoor · 14/01/2015 21:14

Ah I haven't checked the thread all day so had loads to catch up on!

That sounds so crap frenetic glad you managed to get something back though! I always go to social media when I have a complaint to make and normally wangle some good compensation Wink

Omg jen 2 sleeps is crazy! What time do you need to go in? I'll be thinking of you Smile

Sorry to hear about your car troubles geeky we have the same engine management light problems plus usually always comes on when MOT is due! Luckily FIL runs his own garage and is happy to bring his scanner home and turn the light off when needed.

I nearly lost it in sainsburys today. Normally go to Tescos but thought as I only needed a few selected bits I'll make a change and go to sainsburys. Well never again they had nothing on my list! I couldn't even get myself a bunch of flowers - they didn't even have any flowers. Plus their self scanners are crap and you still have to go to a normal checkout to put it through the till. What's the point in self scanning if you still have to actually speak to someone to pay?! Angry Rant over Grin

GeekyHybrid · 14/01/2015 21:38

Thanks bang, unfortunately a load of chocolate hob nobs with my cuppa tea has not cured my pissed off / stressed status re car. Suspect it ain't going to be a good nights sleep here . And the wind is howling across the green in front of our house Confused
Exciting jen, I think if I knew it was only 2 sleeps to go then I'd be having a day with my feet up, preferably being waited on hand and foot by willing manservant, or hubby would do Grin
Fingers crossed we all have good days tomorrow.

Honeybird · 14/01/2015 21:45

Wow Jen just two sleeps that came round quickly! Lots of luck keep us posted if you can...

Booked a trip for April to see the inlaws and as it is flights had to fill in all names. A little superstitious part of me hated having to do this for unborn baby... But in Easter hols flight prices will be going up fast!

Memphisbelly · 14/01/2015 22:06

Geeky how frustrating I hope they sort it and for their sakes it passes the Mot or they will feel your wrath Grin

Jen 2 more sleeps! if it was me I would be going to get my hair done and having a nice lunch somewhere adult, we went to a tea room I love that isn't best place to take kids on Monday as we won't pass there again for a while.

Baby is so lively today I honestly don't think he has slept, ds has given the bump lots of kisses and been asking the baby to come out soon

Viperama · 14/01/2015 23:49

Good luck for Friday Jen.

I've stitch out tmrw, fingers crossed baby stays put and keeps cooking a few more weeks.

I'm 36+4 though so not a disaster if baby does arrive. Well apart from my shower this Saturday.

donkir · 15/01/2015 05:05

Good luck for Friday Jen and for tomorrow Viper.
I'll be glad when jelly bean is here at least then I'll have a reason to be awake at this stupid time.
Off to doctors today hopefully if I can get an appointment as my cyst has come back with vengeance to the point I can barely walk. As if just being pregnant wasn't enough!

Bangonthedoor · 15/01/2015 06:59

Morning everyone Smile

Well I slept really well for once, DP or DD didn't wake me up during the night, acid kept away, I think I stayed so still my hips are about to fall apart, they feel so achey! I'm hoping by the lack of posts last night others may have had an ok night??

I hope you manage to get an appointment donkir as if you need other things like that to deal with.

Good luck for today viper hope all goes well.

BanglesSpangles · 15/01/2015 08:06

Morning all
one small stretch session downstairs at about 2 and 3 bouts of cramp for me- by recent standards a good night's sleep!

Oh and i gave myself a nosebleed last night by blowing it too hard- haven't had one since i was a kid- most annoying!

OP posts:
Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 08:27

Viper hope all goes well today for you.

Donkit hope you get in the docs and they can help you, must be awful Sad

Bangles weirdly I have been getting a bloody nose in the morning recently and haven't had them since I was young.

Another good nights sleep for me, takes me until 1 ish to go off but then I am away. Going to be sorting out upstairs today, ironing, cleaning, bedmaking, brush the stairs and sort out my wardrobe start taking my fat clothes out that I won't wear now and start adding back by bigger normal clothes onto a shelf ready

jenmcspen · 15/01/2015 08:30

Woke up at 4am and couldn't get back to sleep so got up at 4.45 in the end! Feel weirdly energised, expecting a crash later!

Good luck today viper Smile

WhyOWhyWouldYou · 15/01/2015 09:21

Much better today.

DH had morning off yesterday and managed to get me in with an osteopath - it was a different one to who I've tried before. She was bloody amazing!!! She hurt me quite a bit in treatment but it worked, I'm in less pain than I've been in, in about 12weeks! I slept from 12-5:30, then 5:50-8 (when DH woke me to help me down stairs before leaving for work) instead of waking at least every hour in pain as i have been doing for weeks and weeks (just a shame that i still feel so so tired after previous night of not one wink of sleep). I'm just keeping my fingers crossed that it lasts because hips are still really unstable.

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 09:33

wow WhyO thats briliant I hope it lasts to give you a break.

oh god im cringing I have just gone loo knickers full of blood from by backside I could cry! i hate my body lucky im actually at docs so will mention it

BanglesSpangles · 15/01/2015 09:58

ooh why that's great news!

Memphis was just thinking that nobody's mentioned bum grapes for a few weeks! (am taking it that's what your last post relates to, rather than just a random outpouring of bum blood?)

OP posts:
Minichuch · 15/01/2015 10:07

memphis and I thought my morning was going great

Is anyone who is still working full time struggling like anything to get up and motivated on a morning - I seem to be ok once in up but its th actual getting out of bed that is the issue - think I could sleep for England

Giantbabymama · 15/01/2015 10:13

God I just wrote such a moaning feel sorry for myself post which disappeared cos my battery went, and am glad because although am not having a great time, issues with blood sugar and blood pressure being high, I am not bleeding from the arse like Memphis.

36 weeks and torn between saying please don't induce/do c section unless necessary and saying oh FFs just get it out, I've had enough!

Memphisbelly · 15/01/2015 11:30

Bangles yes it is internal bum grapes so it did look like a random outpouring of ass blood. Blush The doctor offered to take a look but I assured him there was nothing to see and it must be inside, he reckons as I bled from there after my fall on stairs its from there.

Also been dentist and got my veneer put back on so I good to give birth and not have a manky stump on show for photo.

Mini I am part time but that with looking after ds/house/cooking is slowly killing me so I am in awe of you managing full time.

Think baby has somehow gone lower, I don't know how but I can barely open my legs to walk due to it not feeling great, I am torn if to power walk the school run to see if it makes something pop/ move or just drive to school,

Honeybird · 15/01/2015 11:37

I think baby has sunk lower here too, DH was just saying I look smaller, and I'm feeling a lot more pressure. And I am so swollen down there now, tempted to get a mirror... Never used a mirror after birth before and now I'm glad I didn't, thank you Memphis.
