Couldn't see a new thread so thought I'd make one. Congratulations to all the mummies so far. Looking forward to hearing lots more birth stories. Good luck for those still to go.

So tired of this waiting game, keep having twinges and niggles but nothing too bad yet... Just want baba here in its little basket and to start being a family. My mw has booked my sweep for 26th jan which is totally annoying don't think I could cope going that much longer... Arrrrggghhh

That's brilliant news eliza. So pleased for you that you had the hb you wanted. 2 girls and a boy that's lovely! Well done Smile

HenriettaTurkey · 13/01/2015 22:16

Thanks, Mads. I'm worried I'll blank.

Luckily DH will be with me, and he knows how to 'ground' or 'anchor' me (hand on shoulder, count down from 5). I'll have to talk through some of my visualisations with him in case I blank, so he can take over.

Good luck to everyone still waiting.
My gorgeous girl was born last Wednesday.
Very long labour as she was back to back and not budging.
They say I might need elcs for next baby as they cut me quite deeply to get her out... We shall see... Still v sore ... She might be an only child!

LittlePink · 14/01/2015 07:51

Pesto I said that after my emcs but here I am again! You change your mind when its all faded in your mind after a couple of years!

LittlePink · 14/01/2015 07:52

Oh and congratulations! Sounds similar to my first labour. Back to back, long, cs at the end. You get through it though and have a beautiful baby at the end of it so it is worth it!

Thanks. Aiming to go to theatre in around 20 mins. Ahh sweaty palms and butterflies in my tummy!

I had a de brief after dd and it was very good and worthwhile.

Pesto11 · 14/01/2015 10:39

Ooh good luck today little
Trying to catch up on all the baby news.
Also trying to catch up on news in the real world!

How do you organise a debrief about the labour?

SK28 · 14/01/2015 10:49

Congratulations Pesto and Eliza on your lovely news, and good luck today Little.

There have been a few links shared on the FB group that I thought might be useful/interesting/fun for people here so worth sharing... Sorry if any of these have already been posted here too. I've not looked at all the links personally as not all relevant yet, but they seem to have helped others in the group!

Congrats Little and welcome to the world Alexander!

jobrum · 14/01/2015 18:17

Congratulations little and dveryone else who has given birth recently. I am utterly fed up now and not even overdue! I don't drive so am feeling a bit trapped with the rain we've had and especially today as it snowed overnight and the pavements are icy. My mum didn't help by telling me that I'll be grateful for the 'free time' soon. Because I'm spending my days seeing all my friends who miraculously aren't at work, spending time in the gym, shopping all day! Good news is that bump has definitely dropped, i don't think anyone would believe I was nine months pregnant.

Ah congrats to everyone who has had their lovely babies. My ds was 9'5 too and his thighs didn't fit in his 0-3 baby grows!!
I'm having an ecv tomorrow and am getting really nervous. I had a lovely homebirth last time so it all feels very unnatural.
Hope everyone gets some good sleep tonight.
