Well - no new news here really - infact am feeling quite "normal" I might even surprise dh with the suggestion of you know what tonight
I went to the madwife yesterday (and saw a useless doctor again, becasue madwife wasn't there) he said that I still had white blood cells in my sample but that it didn't actually confirm a urine infection, so I don't know whether to continue with the antibiotics now. He also couldn't find the heartbeat (although he thought he had - it was just uterus sounds IYKWIM) I couldn't be bothered to argue - I can feel lo that is all that matters.
Ds is officially in his big boys room now - I was dreading it but the 1st night it took me 30 mins to get him down and last night only 10! so fingers crossed he has taken to his big bed well and that is us done. Hope everyone has a pain free night tonight - how about some paracetamol? would that help. Anyway, I think I will be the last to have my baby the way I am going and only supposed to have 6 days left.

Mummy2Toby · 24/10/2006 19:21

Sorry Stacey - missed your post while typing - I know exactly how you feel, my ds is the same age as your dd and the whining 6really6 gets to you doesn't it - put her to bed and tomorrow will be a new day, when hopefully everything will seem better

Charleesunnysunsun · 24/10/2006 20:13

Oh Stacey your having a rough old time of it poor you. Im sending you a virtual hug and a glass of something mildly alcoholic to calm your nerves (just the one though and don't tell the madwife) DS has times like this when i just think OMG why the hell am i doing this again but after popping upstairs seeing him looking so tiny and peacfull in his bed i know why and you will to when you get to meet your baby.

Im watching Labryinth with DP it's a great film it's nice to do something nice and normal to take my mind of poxy contractions.

Glad to hear your doing so well Mummy2toby it's good to hear someone is getting along ok.

I have a choccy craving i must go raid ds's sweety box see what i can find.

NatalieJane · 24/10/2006 20:36

Stacey try to rope your DP into a nice back rub and a bit of a pamper session, tell him I said so!

Charlee, I haven't seen that film for years and years, in fact I was about 7 (I can remember where we were living at the time!) so 16/17 years ago!!

Mummy2Toby, It is lovely to hear from someone who isn't suffering through these last few weeks! You will have to come on more often and perk us all up!

Mygirl you will have to post me a list of what's in it, so I will know what to get ready myself! I don't think I would say engorged, but a bit flappy would probably describe it best!! LOL OMG, When on earth are the earth shatteringly cringe worthy comments going to stop pouring out of my mouth?!

Charleesunnysunsun · 25/10/2006 08:42

Lol maybe our next thread should be called.

Due Nove 2006 - Fanjo's flying free!

It is only mumsnet you can discuss things like that and not but yes NJ like you say do remind me never to attend a meet up.

I had a reasonable nights sleep last night (dont fall of the p.c is suprise!) apart from dp pushing me out in the middle of the night it was reasonabley comfortable.

Im on a cleaning frenzy today as you know we live near a cow farm and we get infested with the little bas*ards and our landlord has this place painted white from top to toe and the fly's vomit everywhere leaving black spots over everything it drives me flipping crazy!!!!!!! So im arming myself with a spray bottle and a cloth and scrub this damn place untill it shines!

I hope something exciting happens today maybe a birth announcment from tinasan?

NatalieJane · 25/10/2006 09:09

I think that thead title would be better used after the babies are all born on the post-natel!!

10 days to go My mum is back off her hols so I can ring her after and have a proper catch up/whinge/moan, and I have the midwives this morning to sort out about the home birth, DH has agreed to doing whatever we can to get a pool in here for the labour, I managed to get about 3 hours sleep last night, so I am feeling very good today

I am little bit worried about my waters, I was on a thread yesterday and they were basically telling me to get it checked, obviously I will tell the midwife about it this morning, but don't like the idea of them leaking/threatening to go yet, by my scan dates I am only 35 weeks today so that is the dates the midwife is going off - no matter how many times I tell her I know my dates are 100% - and I could have as much as another 3 weeks from today to wait before they will let me labour at home.

Never mind, it is a good day today, no more going on about the nasty side today from me, well I will try to keep it quiet OK?!!!

Mygirl, men can get it so wrong sometimes, they don't mean to, it just kind of happens. I remember the odd time DH got up to DS in the night (I got up most of the time because I was staying at home, he was out working, 350 miles+ of motorway driving a day, and working with electricity and water for the rest of the day meant he needed his sleep!) but I could get up, feed DS, change his nappy, put him back to sleep with out making DH stir, DH would get up, switch the lights on, slam doors about, sound like a heard of elephants up and down the stairs... I was wide awake by the time it took him twice as long as it took me to do it!! Always ended in a 'spat' the next day!

Could you arrange for a few hours on your own this weekend or something? Give you a bit of a breather?

Morning all - Mygirl, remind me, if yours the FIL that rearranges everything when he comes to stay so that everything they have ever bought you gets plugged in, or was that someone else?

Oh you poor thing. I thought my PIL were bad but actually they are just a tad annoying as they are very conservative and always feel like they are disapproving of what we are doing - i.e the homebirth, for one thing. But they do mind their own business and are very kind so I cant really complain.
Maybe chop the wires of that old video recorder of yours! And then when he goes to plug it in, say, 'Oh that old thing - yeah it was a peice of toot and broke after we used it twice' (just to see the look on his face!) Childish but might make you feel better

staceym11 · 25/10/2006 10:19

morning everyone, i feel my body must be getting ready for labour, iv managed to get 2 full nights of sleep, which is lovely! despite the fact i still wake up knackered!

gotta go into town today to send an ebay package, fun fun in the rain!!!

having high jinks with ebay atm, dh has got an ipaq (hand held computer thing) up on there and first someone 'brought it now' then dissappeared off the face of the earth, then someone 'brought it now' then sent a false email from 'paypal' saying that the money will be credited once a valid postage code has been entered (bull shit!!!) the email also had a link saying 'learn more about paypal' which brought up a screen with you log in addy to put your password in....only if you look properly its an invoice to pay this otehr person £245!!!! so we reported it to paypal who have said its a fake (no shit sherlock) so we just emailed the buyer and said 'nice try mate, pull the other one, you aint getting it!' So now dh has relisted it and who we think is the same person (same wording on messages) is now enquiring about it again!!!! other than being really annoying that they keep buying it so we cant acctually manage to sell it properly, how stupid do they think we are???? are we honestly gunna send an item out without cleared payment?? especially when its worth about £300 and we'r selling it for £150!!!! crazy!!

40Weeks · 25/10/2006 10:28

What a nutter Stacey - did you see an enail going round from a guy that bought as laptop off eBay only to find that it wasnt as described and only had a fraction of the memory space and didnt come with everything listed. So the guy who bought it did the usual thing of trying to contact the seller to resolve, reporting to eBay etc and in the end decided just to upload all his hard-drive onto the internet and created a website. The guy who sold it didnt bother to remove any of the stored files and it has loads of pictures of women's legs that he has taken on the tube or walking down the street and some fetishist photos! All a bit weird, and loads of piccy's the bloke took of himself so anyone looking at the website could recognise him! Was very funny. The guy who bought the laptop said he would remove the site immediately if the guy contacted him to resolve or made a charitable donation - not sure whatever happened. But there are some loony eBayers!

NatalieJane · 25/10/2006 10:52

Stacey, when we had some trouble with a nutter on eBay, Mygirl (I think!) put a link up to some where on eBay about banning people from bidding on your items in the future, maybe that would help, I don't know the link now though I hope you get it sorted though, it is so frustrating when it goes tits up.

Mygirl, yes I meant so your FIL can make himself usefull for a couple of hours, but don't be surprised if he has your whole house changed round when you get back!!

DH is going to make it home in time for the m/w which is great because it means I don't have to take DS with me And I will save best part of £15 on taxi fares!!

Mygirl, can't you hint about a shed/fence that needs building outside? And I think the bushes might need a good trim....?!!

martinemorris · 25/10/2006 11:36

Morning everyone

Just got back from having a scan only to be told I have to see the consultant on Monday. Apparently baby is very healthy but rather on the big side with a big head (TMI from the Sonographer )so will either have to be induced or c-section on 38 weeks. That means I dont have long to go. All the time i have wanted the baby out I now feel that it needs to stay in for a few more months .

Just think this time next month there will be lots of babies!!

40Weeks · 25/10/2006 11:40

Ooooh I cant wait! This being my first, its going to be strange thinking that this bump is going to be a littler person pretty soon. I am 37 weeks tomorrow so should all be okay for the home birth but also thinking, it could happen any time! Was reading that thred on 'things they dont tell you when you are pregnant' - some of the entries were hilarious but also a bit scary! Esp the Ring of Fire!

40Weeks · 25/10/2006 11:51

Also MyGirl - good luck to the man who messes up a newly organised cupboard, esp one just done by a pg woman! Well done for remaining positive though - stressing about it isnt going to make him change so def think you are doing the right imho

Charleesunnysunsun · 25/10/2006 12:10

Hello

Thought i would pop in whilst having a 5 min break from blitzing my shite hole of a house! I have scrubbed my bathroom and donr half the living room, i put a load of washing on only to find the washing machine is blocked AGAIN and wont drain, i have only had it a couple of months and we have had Comet out 3 times already to fix it. so no more washing for me today as the usual waiting time to get them out is about 2 weeks.

martinemoriss - lucky you to know you will be meeting your baby sooner rather than later! I have been told LO is a generous size baby but not generous enough to need to come early. I bet im the last one sitting here waiting for babe and you will all move on to the post natal board without me!

Oh well mucst get on with my Kim and Aggie bit! DP want me to go out with him later a looooooonnnnnnggg drive just to get car tax from the local dvla dept and i thik im going to have to dissapoint him by telling him to go alone i don;t feel up to a drive today!

Charleesunnysunsun · 25/10/2006 12:56

Litterally 5 second post to say i have just had a show! yay in in the gang now

Kif · 25/10/2006 13:02

I've just been looking at Dd1 baby photos on the computer - wanted to put a little album together for her to talk about when she was a baby.

The thing is - can't believe how tiny she used to be! Even on photos of her 4 months old according to date stamp, she still looks like a little old man! I'm a little apprehensive about the next few months now... thinking that my memories of Dd1 may be a little rose coloured!
