Thanks for the new thread! Number 7 - wow, it really has flown by!

wine ive got my ante natal classes booked in for March, think its the 7/8th. You get a choice of a run of Wednesdays, about 2hrs each or you can book a whole weekend so we went with that. Its 9.30 - 2.30pm on the Saturday and Sunday, held up at the hospital as we get a tour of the maternity ward which should be exciting!

Sorry to hear the sad news lauren but at least the brother has dropped his grudge.

oneday sounds like your house will be very busy! Do you have anyone else who will be helping out, looking after someone like that would be tiring enough, nevermind at nearly 6months pregnant!

minou I too have resorted to pads ... Sad. I did not think I would be perusing the Tena aisle at 29. Ive not had a full on accident or anything but - total TMI alert - I was mortified to discover that I caught a whiff of something the other day whilst on the loo. You know that horrible mens toilets smell? Basically stale pee. Blush must have let out something at some point ... the shame!

Oh and I have two stretchmarks ... one is on my left side and the other is right under it. I have a feeling I will be covered with them!

Just marking my place, this little girl hit me so hard this evening I actually jumped out in surprise. I hope she's ok, I can still feel her moving it was just very weird.

Had to check with my GP as I have a bad pain in my groin area (possibly ligament pain). Which I've had for a week or so now when I walk or try and put socks on etc. But tonight I started feeling tight chested and out of breath. I was worried maybe I have a clot but the doctor on the phone said he isn't too concerned based on my description, I'm getting my blood tested tomorrow so if it's worth I can pop in.

To top the evening off I have a migraine because I forgot to eat. Doh!

Worse*

Lauren82000 · 22/12/2014 22:58

I've got proper deep muscle ache in my bum. It's like I've done too many squats which is laughable as I don't exercise at all. (Unless you count up and down the stairs) No idea how I could of pulled something, it's not even like I've done a lot of walking.

On the topic of sleeping: I became a pretty light sleeper once I had DD but it's getting far too ridiculous recently. I seem to spend the night rolling from one side to the other and just when I get even a little comfy enough to nod off, something wakes me up. Usually DD sneaking into our bed. (Her bed is boring apparently) I think I'm just so conscious of where everyone else is in the bed and where bump is that I'm just not getting good sleep. It's little wonder that I constantly feel exhausted.

TheBooMonster · 22/12/2014 23:01

I'm waking every couple of hours with an all consuming need to pee and drink and if I'm not deadly silent about it past 5am it wakes up DD which is ridiculously frustrating, especially as we're about to go to PiL's for a few days and will be sharing a room with DD >.

minipie · 22/12/2014 23:08

Evening all! Not been on much for a bit as work has been hectic.

lauren sorry to hear your sad news.

daholster no idea but do ring the midwife - never any harm in asking eh.

river I've been getting a stabbing pain at the top of my bump - fairly central but slightly to one side - just where bump meets ribs. If you google sternum pain in pregnancy it seems to be quite common. I've found it gets better if I try not to do anything lopsided so not sitting with legs folded up to one side or crossed, backpack instead of handbag etc.

I can't believe some of you are still not in maternity clothes and possibly still not showing! I look at least 7 months pregnant (am 25+2) and am already struggling to get up off the sofa. God knows what I'll be like at term (if I get that far this time). I am petite framed so there is nowhere for the baby to go but outwards that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it

smogsville · 22/12/2014 23:28

Lauren, sorry to hear that but it's good that the grudge has been put to one side isn't it.

OneDay - good luck with making adjustments at home.

Daholster - as others have said maybe check with mat unit. Not gone into labour or had BH myself so can't really add anything.

I outdid myself tonight with the stuffing at friends' parents' house. Mini chick kievs, bacon and cheese rolls, sausages, salmon and cheese roll thingys, cheese and cranberries thingys, cheesecake (anyone spotting a theme) etc.

Must do penance with a vegetable or two tomorrow.

I'm sure she is fine. I tend to forget to let people know I got home safely I'm usually too excited to be home after a long journey that it completely goes out of my head. Smile She might have had a bit of a rush at the airport and it slipped her mind.

TheBooMonster · 23/12/2014 08:24

squatting I expect she's perfectly fine, some people are just better at
Keeping others informed than some. I had a friend come over from Norway a couple of weeks ago and heard nothing from when he was leaving for the airport till he turned up on the door!

Seeing midwife this afternoon and then Xmas officially starts and we'll be off to PiL's.

kismac · 23/12/2014 08:25

Sorry to hear your news Lauren but glad they've managed to patch things up.

Oh One Day, hope the living arrangements aren't too stressful.

Got home last night to find that DH has built the cot. Feeling terrified now. I've asked him to put a sheet over it to hide it as it's freaking me out. Im such a weirdo.

I've worn a tight top today in an effort to show off my bump to try and stop the "oh, your not showing", "where are you hiding the baby" comments. Im sure it's just people's way of being polite but it's really bugging me.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/12/2014 09:11

It'll be one way or the other kismac, everyone feels a need to comment! People are commenting now on how much I've all of a sudden popped out, which I guess is nice but still doesn't need saying. I only have two tops I can run in now without showing my bright white belly so guess it is bigger!

smogsville · 23/12/2014 09:17

Squatting, is she a younger sister? I've got one like that, blithe as can be and always fine. Hope she gets in touch soon.

Kismac - it's annoying when people say oh you're hardly showing, I always find it worrying then I remember I was the same with DD and she is absolutely fine! They might be trying to compliment you? I think it must be just as bad if they go on about how big you are. Basically it's really annoying that when preg, comments about your body become completely acceptable in a way that they wouldn't be in normal life.

Grrr.

I defo am showing after last night's food-off. I really need to lay off the salt today and give baby a break Shock

Triple post! Sorry!

Nunkie · 23/12/2014 10:23

Lauren sorry to hear about your DH's step-mum. Glad the grudges seem to have been sidelined for now tho (Families! Don't you sometimes just want to knock their heads together? Not as much as your [ex] friend tho Ebwy. She sounds a bit of a dickhead tbh, and an ill-informed dickhead at that!)

Stomach has been receiving a right pummelling this morning! So weird how it seems to have gone from hardly anything to an onslaught in just two days - Peanut must be excited to be at Nan and Grandad's house! (Well, it's that or the vast increase in mini kinder-egg consumption! Lol at Yorkie and hot-choc combo!)

Re daily diet: my Mum told me off yesterday for eating crisps (I seem to have gone crisp-mad since Peanut came into existence) and rushed to get the salmon and blinis out so I was eating something with nutritional value! Have also started getting texts like this: 'ARE YOU HOME YET?' So apparently being knocked up instantly reduces your ability to travel from point A to point B competently! Heehee - got to let her have her moment tho - she's so excited re her first grandchild (I really hope it all continues to go well!!)

Just buckled and downloaded Mumsnet app despite bad reviews. Predictably, am not impressed. No easy way to navigate threads, and can't even see what I'm typing after first couple of lines. I'm surprised they haven't sorted it out since it's all about the message boards after all.

In news unrelated to anything, DP just woke up and told me he'd been dreaming about different fabrics for tights!! :0D I think we may have been watching too much Apprentice.
(My gawd, but Daniel was a pillock tho, wasn't he? Tho most of them were this year, to be fair! I didn't have anyone I was really routing for!)

Nunkie · 23/12/2014 10:37

Oh, PS: daholster, meant to say: if it makes you feel any better, I am, like, Super-Discharge-Woman. All the time!! So I'm sure its nowt to worry about - tho I'm not sure if know the difference between my standard 'offerings' and a mucus plug tbh Grin. And, as others have said, doesn't hurt to ring for some reassurance!

TinyTear · 23/12/2014 11:18

Marking place.

24+3

In Portugal now for Christmas with limited internet.

Hidingthefear · 23/12/2014 11:23

bonjour - only 1 finger of twix, what did you do with the other one? was curious. DH's rule is that if it's in 1 packet it's a portion and should be eaten in it's entirity. (this aplpys to full tubs of Hagan Daz and Benn and Jerry's too, greedy git)

Wineandchoccy i've just got back from MW appointment and she's booked me on to "parent Craft" staring in feb for 4 weeks. I had images of them doing tapestry and knitting but turns out parent craft is just a new name for antinatel classes.

Daholster a mucus plug :/ wow i know nothing of whats coming up ina few months time lol. Admittedly I was out shopping the other day with DH and said i need to go to the loo (because I thought i'd wet myself) but turns out it was some epic discharge. sorry ladies TMI i know!

bladder is holding up so far but I did nearly wet myself laughing at the dog last night. She came running down stairs with the loo roll looking so proud. think she thought she was an Andrex puppy. It's not really that funny but at the time i was literally peeing myself laughing (which DH thought was hilarious!)

kismac · 23/12/2014 11:32

I find that everything is really funny at the moment. I'm loving my happy hormones. I laughted so hard at this video of the spider doing its mating dancing. DH looks very bemused at me.

TinyTear · 23/12/2014 11:54

Stressed busy flight and stuff yesterday so newbie hardly had time to make herself notices... So she decided to jig on my bladder when I went to bed! Had 3 wees before midnight!!

LadyNovember · 23/12/2014 11:58

Just marking my place, been super busy with work, festive prep & family stuff!

Hope everyone is well and ready for Santa coming! I'll be ready to enjoy it just as soon as today and tomorrow's 4-midnight shifts are over haha! :(

Baby is going through phases of punching the hell out of me or sleeping all day! Feel so blessed to be able to feel him though, esp with anterior placenta!
