Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 18th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 35th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Haha Indigo, MrWil would also go nuts with me for doing that.

I think at that point I probably hadn't had any other pain relief as I wasn't allowed an epidural and was refusing diamorphine. In the end though I had it all Grin .

Ha Popz, my mum might let me off but don't think my nephews will be so forgiving!

Boo that's awful. What is their reasoning? Do you work in retail?

willywallace · 20/12/2014 21:31

Don't know why my posts keep going twice Confused .

TheBooMonster · 20/12/2014 21:40

wil yes I work in retail. It is company policy to have a 'cause for concern' meeting after your second absence in 6 months and a disciplinary after your third absence in 6 months. reason number #372 why I intend to find a new job whilst on maternity leave...

willywallace · 20/12/2014 21:48

A concern for two absences in 6 months?!! That's utterly ridiculous.

RPopz · 20/12/2014 21:52

Ah Boo that's shitty. I hate how sickness and absence is such a bloody witch hunt these days!! Especially unfair when you're pregnant. Your poor Nan! Shock

I'm a bit spoilt with Christmas shopping in that my family is so shitty at speaking to each other I only actually have to buy for Mum and sisters and DH... (and he always has an extensive list of "suggestions" Hmm )

willywallace · 20/12/2014 22:05

I guess some people really take the piss though. I know a couple of folk who are off every time they get a cold.

laurenamium · 20/12/2014 22:32

Pis definitely say in the back to work meeting about pregnancy and employment law! That's shocking! Confused

La I'm glad you had a lovely horsey day too Grin I complain about mine but I do love them! Can't wait to get back riding again!

I'm back from the girls night out. It was at a football teams Christmas party, DP hates football and is with his mates in a different town so I had much fun letting him know where I was Grin childish I know . I'm glad to be back now though AND I have the bed to myself and definitely no DD waking me up through the night!

Wil do you struggle to get Childxare for miniwil? I'm lucky in that my DM asks most weekends if DD can sleep over one of the nights, as long as I'm there for 8/9 the next morning to collect her. So as long as DD wants to go I get a night a week grown up time for now!

ZylaB · 20/12/2014 22:41

boo print off this and take it with you. What you need is clearly stated in the first paragraph!

Mention you can probably claim for sexual discrimination if they continue to follow this course of action!

laurenamium · 20/12/2014 22:41

Oops sorry I meant boo not pis Blush

TheBooMonster · 20/12/2014 22:55

I know wil and popz my last place didn't have anything resembling a sickness policy, they pretty much shrugged whenever I phoned in sick and I actually got paid full wages when I was off sick, here I get nothing so even if I was the type to take the piss my incentive to do so would be next to nothing! But then again my last place went into administration, so they're not exactly a shining emblem of the way a company should run... but I miss them so damned much and want my old job selling Mediterranean food back

lauren I suspect my place has some issues with the concept of pregnancy and employment law given that I'd suggested to the store manager that given that a space had opened up on my original department and I knew the department well I would be more than willing to move back to that department and he told me that given my "current condition" he'd decided to leave me where I was, the only thing about my 'condition' that had changed was I was pregnant, doesn't really matter how he worded it, he and I both knew he was referring to the fact that I was pregnant...

thanks zyla I'd been looking for that! I'll get FiL to print a couple of copies of it out for me and keep one in my locker and one in my hand held notes (I tend to take them into work if I think work are going to be an arse about the pregnancy)

TheBooMonster · 20/12/2014 22:57

In other news was told today that I look too young to be pregnant gushes the part of me that feels childish glee every time I'm IDed found this hilarious... the part of me that is 25 and already has a toddler and a husband and a house found it insulting :P

willywallace · 20/12/2014 23:11

Never ever find that insulting Boo, I can only dream of being young enough for someone to say that!Grin

Your boss sounds like an arsehole. You should record that he said that somewhere in case they start being (even bigger) twats.

I think Lauren, I feel bad asking people for childcare so just haven't really bothered. (I realise this is bonkers). My mum helps sometimes for day appointments and stuff but she lives an hour and a half away so can't really do overnights without it being a massive hassle. MIL lives in a different country. It actually doesn't bother me at all. I suspect I would find it a bit difficult to let go. Although on the odd occasion I've been away to a hotel overnight, it has been pretty nice to lie about in bed with no jobs to do for someone. You're doing well if you manage to go and get your DD back at 8am with a hangover!

Pisghetti · 21/12/2014 00:16

Our company moves to disciplinary after the third absence in twelve months (and we're not retail). We do get full sick pay and have a pretty clued up HR team and maternity policy though.

There's something about the lighting in my local Morrisons - I'm frequently asked for ID there. DS once pointed out to the lady that someone too young to buy alcohol wouldn't have a son his age and she said she assumed we were brother and sister! He was not amused I was chuffed to beans Grin

With DS, as his dad and I split up when he was quite young and his paternal grandparents live quite close by and absolutely dote on him, I've had plenty of childcare. This time, DP's parents live 200 odd miles away so I'm just not going to have the same level of childcare 'on tap'. Mind you once baby is old enough for me to be happy to leave them, DS will be old enough to babysit!

I'm home but a few hours after I started to want to be. In bed feeling sorry for myself - want to be sick but can't. I hate that.

So angry for you boo, that's terrible! What a stupid thing to have to go through! Hope you are confident enough to just tell them they are wrong and being dicks!

ZylaB · 21/12/2014 01:49

dulcet hope you feel better soon! I hate feeling sick but not being able to as well!

willywallace · 21/12/2014 03:53

Feel better soon Dulcet.

Does that include any absence at all? So like if your child is ill or funeral or something, or is it just for personal sickness? I'm actually rarely ill but when I used to get migraines I would easily have more than 3 a year.

willywallace · 21/12/2014 04:08

Oh God I have leaky nipples Shock

DulcetMoans · 21/12/2014 08:22

Thanks both. Managed to get to sleep but no vomming. I've spent so much of these pregnancy feeling sick - it's like acidic right under my rib cage so quite high. Bit uncomfy. Not sure if it's heartburn instead as big sure what that feels like.

Leaking boobs wil, uh oh! How leaky!? Does that mean anything in terms of timing?

You're putting me to shame with the planning classes etc la. My tactic of ignoring pregnancy means I'm only booking in tomorrow! Don't even have a pregnancy apps here, let alone a class. Should look though as know they get booked quick.

I looked up my fruit - I'm a sprout! How festive!

Leela5 · 21/12/2014 08:23

Morning! I've got little bubbly feelings in my womble and I wonder if this is what you described last week dulcet? Feels slightly stabby but slightly fluttery

DulcetMoans · 21/12/2014 08:39

Could be la. I wouldn't have described it as stabby though, just fluttering really. No pain at all. Like bubbles in there bumping stuff.

Makes me realise I've not had it the last couple of days. Uh oh!

Leela5 · 21/12/2014 08:44

But you know these things come and go :). If there's one thing I've learned it's that these things come and go! I think mine was wind...

Got to pick my friend up in half an hour and I'm still in bed. Bum.

DulcetMoans · 21/12/2014 08:51

I know, I know. I feel shit so will cling on to that!

Can friend get a taxi? Then you have a nap. Sounds fair.

willywallace · 21/12/2014 09:00

Flutters are definitely not routine and are generally pretty light so if you're doing something you probably wouldn't notice them.

I am heartened by how crap you feel this time Dulcet Grin . It sounds like it could be heartburn. I had never had it before really so took me ages to realise that's what it was. Get the orange flavoured Rennies. I eat them like sweets.

Don't think leaky boobs means anything. They're not bad, just noticed a bit of wetness and then of course had to have a squeeze Hmm ...

RPopz · 21/12/2014 09:28

Reflux Dulcet? Might you be further on than you think?? Grin

DulcetMoans · 21/12/2014 09:33

Haha. Thanks wil. It is weirdly reassuring but won't feel safe until the scan. Feels like an age away.

I'll be 6mnths on with twins listening to you lot popz! Don't think I could be that much further on really. Days rather than weeks.

I googled heartburn, sounds similar. Will look up reflux. I just burp all the time and moan im uncomfortable. Surprised DH is still here!
