New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

Thinking of you, Eskimo.

How'd it go number? My mw came to me last Sunday - felt such a luxurious appt Wink

MuddyWellyNelly · 21/12/2014 16:04

Hi everyone. Continuing to mainly lurk (I'm the terrified-after-4-yrs-4-IVFs) but am reading and trying to believe I can really be pregnant.

Had a private scan 8+5 today which was perfect, in the sonographers words. It is still not sinking in though!

Hope everyone who had appointments today had good experiences, and that Miss has had reassurance.

Pipbin · 21/12/2014 16:13

Anyone else with no symptoms? I'm 9+2.

Aretepetite · 21/12/2014 16:21

Hello everyone

Feeling a tad better this eve :) thank goodness. Yesterday was horrendous.

Miss I hope your resting and had no more bleeding. Flowers
It really was a blessing in disguise that the in laws let you down.

Ive got a pot of lentil soup and crusty bread to tuck into. Good comfort food. I've been such a beige eater past 12 weeks!

Church tonight then an early one for me. I've started looking at stuff we will need for bubba and am looking forward to after Christmas so I can start buying :)
We will also get the majority of scan info for our little summer beans which I'm looking forward too :)

Hope you all have a lovely Sunday evening and sickness stays at bay.

Youreallygotme · 21/12/2014 16:36

Hi everyone

I'm guilty of lurking as well, I have been reading all your posts though and it's so reassuring to know we're all in the same boat!

I had my 12 week scan on Thursday, it was just amazing to see an actual baby in there! I had kind of felt that it might just all be in my head! All was fine with the scan and they have actually dated me ahead by 5 days so officially I'm a 28th June due date, think I'm going to stay in this thread though if that's ok!

I was soo tired all day yesterday, I hardly made it off the sofa but feeling much better today. Fingers crossed now I'm passed the 12 week mark I'll start getting this mythical pregnancy glow!

StoneBaby · 21/12/2014 17:57

Got internet!

Quite tired after a day travelling. Cramps and back aches but fx it'll get better tomorrow after a good night sleep.

miss I hope you're okay

Fleurchamp · 21/12/2014 19:46

pipbin I only have tiredness. That's it. Boobs have stopped aching too.

How are you feeling?

Have you got a scan soon? We have one Xmas eve and I am gearing myself up for the worst Sad

broodylicious · 21/12/2014 20:08

Has anyone heard from miss? Been thinking of you this afternoon, hoping all is ok.

pip, don't worry re lack of symptoms - loads of ladies I know from here haven't had a single wave of nausea or achy boobs or even fatigue but all has been well at their 12 week scan. I can understand your concern with us banging on about sickness or food aversions (the stew in my slow cooker is making me heave right now!!) but honestly, everyone has different pregnancies - even those who've been pg more than once aren't guaranteed to have copycat pregnancies as babies are as different as mummies. Do you have another scan soon? Xx

broodylicious · 21/12/2014 20:10

fleur, amazing timing for your scan!! You lucky thing!! Have you had any reason to think all is not well? Stay positive hun xx

misseskimo · 21/12/2014 21:04

Evening all, sorry not been on today, after my Dr apt. DH decided to take me to the cinema to try and get me out of the house for a few hours, so this is my first chance to get online.

Feeling a bit better today, though still have stomach cramps though, and really bloated. Dr couldn't find any sign of infection or obvious issues, but told me to up my paracetamol intake and rest (seems to be all I'm hearing atm!). Said to refrain from exercise and anything too strenuous on the body, but to walk around the house as a "gentle" form of exercise. Also said to see how I feel after the scan tomorrow and if needed, he will sign me off another week (current certificate runs to 23rd). They seem really trigger-happy to just sign people off at my surgery!

Scan is at 9:50am tomorrow morning, and DH is going to take me. Keeping everything crossed that all is OK and that I'm going to get a healthy waving baby show up on the screen like some of the rest of you have had!

Pipbin · 21/12/2014 21:04

Fleur, Broody. I had scans at 7+4 and 8+4 showing that all was well so I'm not too worried. According to the miscarriage society if you see a healthy heartbeat at 8 weeks then you have a 97% chance of going to term.
I had nausea and achy boobs previously. It's just all gone now.
I'm keeping myself sane by remembering that my friend got to 10 weeks before she realised she was pg.

Pipbin · 21/12/2014 21:06

Good to hear from you Miss. Sounds positive.

BadIdeaBear · 21/12/2014 21:30

I've got a scan (private) tomorrow too at 12.20. I'm having the NIFTY test at the same time (urgh, more bloods). I'm excited but even if you can't see why anything would be wrong, it's really hard not to be apprehensive, isn't it?

10+3

misseskimo · 21/12/2014 23:34

I'm the same badidea doesn't help that I've been really ill throughout so far, and I don't mean head down a toilet wise. This will be my 3rd scan at EPU (11+0) and I'm still so paranoid something will go wrong, I really can't enjoy my pregnancy. Last time the sonographer kept telling me I was worrying too much, and that she'd never had a lady who didn't seem relieved, but possibly more stressed after being told it was a normal scan. I've been told that normally it's people who like to be in control of their lives/things they do or those who like structure/routine/patterns that struggle the most, whereas those who are more carefree/go with the flow/embrace change are fine. My day job is as an Analyst so go figure which category I fall into Wink

Pipbin · 22/12/2014 07:34

Good luck today Miss, I'll be thinking of you.

smallgreenbanana · 22/12/2014 07:44

Thinking of you too miss

JoY007 · 22/12/2014 08:05

Morning Miss all the very best with the scan today, trust it will be ok, fx xx

Toastandmarmiteallday · 22/12/2014 08:07

Yes good luck Miss

Bustherb · 22/12/2014 08:23

Good luck miss Thanks

Fleurchamp · 22/12/2014 08:28

Good luck miss

broody it's just that all my symptoms except tiredness have just vanished. Then I googled..... Confused

It's either great timing for a scan or the worst decision ever (it's a private scan, my NHS one isn't for another couple of weeks).

Have my booking in appointment tomorrow. I assume I will have a blood test, flipping hate them. Then I have another in Xmas eve for the harmony test. Eeeek!

Number3cometome · 22/12/2014 09:57

Morning ladies!

Pipbin yes midwife came round.

I have to say, I am absolutely so impressed with the booking in procedure in the Basildon area. I had my previous two pregnancies at St Thomas in London (supposed to be one of the best on the planet, which I would totally disagree with) and Kings College (very good).

They gave me so much information, even though it is my 3rd child, we still went through everything thoroughly.
It was a midwife and a student midwife, they are both my named contacts (never had one of those!)
Even though I am full consultant care, the midwife said she would like to keep an extra eye on me, she has made my consultant and scan appointments for me already, everything is done in advance, including my induction date at 41+5 (I won't be needing this as I will be in at 38 weeks for a c-section).

It is very likely I will be having my c-section under a general again, but I will be seeing an anaesthetist shortly.

She checked my BP whilst she was there, and also told me who to call if I have any issues. She filled out all my bloods forms ready for me and even called up the hospital to chase up my last lot.

I had my mental health assessment which was absolutely fine, she really put me at ease, we discussed my previous domestic violence issues with my ex and again got some excellent advice.

I was absolutely so happy with the service, also the face she came round to my house on Sunday! I have never had a named midwife before.

She told me all about the complaints policy.

I have to say I was a little apprehensive about Basildon hospital, but so far i an very impressed. Also their maternity notes are very neat and comprehensive, not just some shit papers stapled together!

Sorry for the long post.

Eskimo Good luck!!
xx

Number3cometome · 22/12/2014 09:58

Ladies with no symptoms - mine are on and off except for Nausea - that stays all the time.

My breasts were not sore at all the last couple of days, and today PAIN!

Pipbin · 22/12/2014 09:59

Thinking of you Miss.
