New thread, as the other one was nearly full! Can someone please post the stats page, as I'm useless with things like that!

No scan yet and no date for it yet neither! Mw on Friday so may know more about this one...

Leela great news

misseskimo · 17/12/2014 14:23

I had quite a large bloaty bump at around 6-8 weeks which made me look quite a few months further in, now it seems to have gone down, and just looks like a "too many cookies" belly rather than pg bump Sad

Feeling a little better today, although I've woken up with a horrid sinus headache, can't stop sneezing, stiff neck and chills. Now wondering if I have a cold on the way, which will be sods law as the Dr last night he wanted to wait another week to see if my symptoms develop before putting me on antibiotics, so typical I wake up this morning with a load of new symptoms! Geh!

Aretepetite · 17/12/2014 14:28

Hi ladies

I'm back after a horrible couple of months sick.

I was flowerbombvr and NC.

I've sent fatty a message to ask if my details can be changed in the stats.
Want or Number can one of you maybe do it?

I'm 36, and expecting dc4. edd from lmp - 2/7/14. 12 week scan tomorrow. Will confirm if dates change.

I can't make the changes myself! Thanks.

Virtual you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I'm nervous and excited for scan tomorrow due to mc in September. Symptoms have been pretty horrendous although reassuring.
I have been 'outed' by a couple of family members after a party on Saturday where obviously I was off the booze. My driving excuse was not readily bought. I think coupled with the bloating it may have been pretty obvious.
We have only confirmed to dh 2 x sis. And mil knows. We will make an announcement at Christmas to the kids and rest of family if all is well tomorrow.

Well that's an update from me. I'm finally feeling a bit excited. My hormones have had me an absolute mess :(

Thank goodness the 1st trimester is almost over!

Number3cometome · 17/12/2014 14:47

Aretepetite stats all done x

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 17/12/2014 14:58

Aretepetite I think all you need to do to update your stats is open the link, find your name and type in the details you want to include, it should save and share them automatically (I think - worked for me anyway!)

I'm not having the best day. Had to leave super early as I had a full day of meetings at work, felt really rough and had to stop to be sick on my way out the door. I managed to get DS to the childminder and onto my train in good time and was very pleased with myself, then had to dash off the tube to throw up part way there (luckily had a plastic bag and some tissues handy!) so ended up rushing so as not to be late. Got off the tube at work and immediately got a phone-call from the childminder to say she is ill and someone needs to pick up DS Shock DH is away so I had to run to the office, arrange emergency cover for all my meetings and then start the hour and a half commute back home again, 3 hours travel with severe morning sickness for no reason is not a great start to the day!

Thinking of you Virtual hope you get some answers soon.

Aretepetite · 17/12/2014 15:07

Thank you Number Smile

Mister, I will give it an attempt. Thank you too Smile I hope you are comfortable now after your rubbish morning Flowers

Naturegirl82 · 17/12/2014 15:25

mister that sounds like a rubbish morning. Hope your day improved.

I've been off work sick today. Feel completely drained but only 2 more days before I finish for Christmas.

Eek MW has managed to get me a scan for Friday. I think I'll only be 10+6 but MW thinks I'm further along. I've still got my scan booked on the 30th as well just in case it is too early to do NT measurements.

luckythirteen · 17/12/2014 17:06

Mister what a terrible day! Hope you can put your feet up tonight.

Naturegirl82 Good luck for Friday!

So I had my 12 week scan this afternoon at 11+6! V frustrated with hospital as I was told it would be a double appointment to allow for measuring the twins - this was not the case. Also sonographer got nearly all details wrong - she didn't seem to understand the dates for an IVF pregnancy so everything printed on the pictures is incorrect. However, what matters is that both babies are still looking good! Twin 1 (who we couldn't get to stretch out!) measured 47.3mm and NT was 1.3mm. Twin 2 measured 51.2mm with NT of 1.5mm. Midwife also did booking bloods while I was there with the ones for the combined screening. Sitting here wondering if what I see in one pic could be a girly nub...!

Pipbin · 17/12/2014 17:09

I'm amazed Lucky at the number of NHS staff who seem to get confused by IVF pregnancies. We aren't that uncommon surely.

luckythirteen · 17/12/2014 17:28

Pip, I thought the same - supposedly the sonographer was an advanced practitioner too! It even says 'spontaneous conception' on the print out they gave me and they put my embryo transfer date for my LMP on scan pics Confused. Hoping it gets better from here on in!!

Threeplus1 · 17/12/2014 17:36

pipbin apparent only something like 1.5% of all UK births are from IVF or ICSI so I guess that would make it uncommon. I guess part of that would be because the success rate is so low.

I'm still suffering with all day nausea and exhaustion here too. No vomiting as yet, but plenty of heaving Sad

I'm well envious of those of you who have already had scan(s) or will have them before Christmas... Still 1 week and 5 days before mine. I'm ready to know what's going on in there!!!

naty1 · 17/12/2014 17:43

Lucky i think its the size based number of weeks on the scan pics.
So you probably have 2 diff due dates now!
As my early scan said 6w6 on it not 7+1.
They change the EDD according to the measurements, i know crazy.
I think mine was changed at each scan.
Im tempted to refuse this time. I just dont see what can be gained messing with it.
Except if it moves it earlier so id be induced earlier :) if necessary.

Pipbin · 17/12/2014 17:51

You say that three and I'm sure you are right, but even 1% is one in 100. I expect the sonographer sees more than 100 patients in, say, a month. So I would expect them to see one a month or so.
There are two of us at least of this thread of 100 women. It's not so small a number really.

StoneBaby · 17/12/2014 18:08

2 of my friends have had ivf this year. One had twins from 2 eggs and one is expecting twins from one egg. They had a shock at their 1st scan when they saw 2 hb Grin

naty1 · 17/12/2014 18:21

I wouldnt call the success rate - so low.
5% at 40 at my clinic
Around 30-40% under 35
Something like 60% if you have 1 embryo put back (blast) because they can pick best of say 6 ones.
I think theres then
Lucky
Pip
Me
Gobigorange if still about
4% on the thread
I think the issue is probably that we still get the mc , so live births via ivf is lower. And possibly as twins can be complicated
It is pretty low as you get older but even then if you get lots of eggs you can be more successful than younger who have other issues.
Its just if you get 1 go its not a great chance, its actually higher than naturally in a particular month, but takes a while to set up
Lucky - i think thats why i was given such a late scan date they filled it in wrong or used the date wrong
Maybe it needs specifying in the yellow book
And on paperwork
Lmp egg collection -2weeks
Ovulation /conception = egg collection

You would think with that confusion they would be concerned the babies measure 2 weeks out?

So i went to gp today to check they get copy of booking blood results - they. Dont or havent :( it is a different gps where mw is.
So i gave a copy as concerned about thyroid being outside range and will check next week dr has seen it and ok'd it.

If not ok hopefully they will call.
Im confused really though - who usually checks the bloods then the mw? She didnt seem to concerned but then its meant to be a gp or even consultant deals with that.
Now concerned urine and swab wont come back to gp either, though sure mw will deal with it instead.

Bustherb · 17/12/2014 18:31

Hi ladies, hope everyone is ok, thinking of you virtual. I'm starting a 5th week of sickness Hmm came home early from work as I couldn't keep anything down. Luckily starting to feel better now and to be fair the sickness is starting to ease. Got my 12 week scan tomorrow so feeling excited but nervous xxxx

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 17/12/2014 19:02

Does anyone know what is the earliest they can do the nuchal fold test? I have my scan in a week when I will be 12+5 by dates but expect to be about a week behind that, hoping it's not too early!

luckythirteen · 17/12/2014 19:11

Mister NHS website says NT can take place between 11+2 and 14+1

naty1 · 17/12/2014 19:40

Mister do you mean you think you ovulated a week later due to long cycle.?
Dont forget fertilisation can be 5 days after ovulation too.

naty1 · 17/12/2014 19:42

Oops ignore that last egg only lives 24hrs

broodylicious · 17/12/2014 19:58

Welcome arete! I remember you as flower. Congrats on your pg Smile

MisterSafetyCatchIsNotOn · 17/12/2014 20:08

Thanks thirteen I should be just about ok then. Think I'll be 11+4 at the least. Yes naty I have irregular cycles and think I ovulated between day 20-22 rather than 14 as for a typical cycle.

VirtualSantaHat · 17/12/2014 20:49
