We were getting perilously close to being full up, hope no one minds!

Ebwy there are no words for that comment. I think I would have thrown a punch.

At work and tempted to take a post-prandial snooze. Just been listening to Yoko Ono on radio going on about what she eats (not much as it turns out). I feel genuinely sorry for her. She seems to think the odd square of dark chocolate is a treat.

Hidingthefear · 22/12/2014 14:28

1 square of chocolate... i've just eaten my Yorkie Chocolate bar by dipping it in my hot chocolate :/

Lauren82000 · 22/12/2014 14:37

Me and DD broke out the Thornton's had to stop myself eating too many

daholster · 22/12/2014 14:46

Ha ha ha hiding that's more like it!!! And lol smogs feeling sorry for Yoko thinking a square of dark chocolate is a treat, that made me smile!

3 hrs after starting, the kitchen is a state, but I have made the clementine Christmas pudding mix... I just need to do the stupid foil and paper folding and string tying so I can boil it for four hours later... >groan< Dd helped a bit with stirring, trying to grate stuff, eating a QUARTER of the cooking apple I was going to use so had to prepare some more, and mangling 2 clementines to the point of no return... Unzestable and too holey to put in the middle! Impressively she didn't cry when she grated her finger trying to do the nutmeg (despite my discouragement... She insisted on helping... Finger grating was inevitable... I did mine 3 times!)

Now I need to tidy the kitchen and have a cuppa. When she wakes we have to nip to Waitrose for posh bacon, more Cointreau (need it for the cream that accompanies it) and some walnuts. Then, apart from work, I won't need to leave the house again until after Christmas, yippee! It's coming and going too quickly though!!!

Anyone want to start a new thread?

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 22/12/2014 14:46

meh, at least I know who I don't want to spend time with now. stupid cow.
same person thinks my older two are autistic because "they don't act normal" ... well yeah they do. Eldest is a bit shy but his teacher laughed out loud when I asked her if she thought I should get him tested and asked if I'd "been talking to clueless people??" and the youngest doesn't speak much - but nor did his brother at this age, nor Albert Einstein! and he's way too friendly and interacts all the time so it's definitely too early to take the suggestion seriously yet.

1 square of chocolate??? best not think about the tub of quality street the kids and I (ok, mainly me!) have been eating our way through this morning... half left!

tis the season to eat loads of junk without guilt, isn't it????

BrixtonBunny · 22/12/2014 14:56

Today I've eaten:
Museli with added raisins
Donut
Tub of pea and ham soup
Bread and butter
Mince pie
Two apples
Two clementines
Cheddar
A cookie

Blush

Yoko would be displeased...

hmmm Ewby I sense some Envy or Jelousy maybe, why else would anyone say such daft things? You know your kids better than her i'm sure!

Lauren82000 · 22/12/2014 15:32

Id never comment about peoples children like that. I mean apart from the odd time I do things with my friend and her DC and think to myself, yes DD isn't that bad after all behaviour wise. I'd never say it to her face that her kids get out of control.

Although saying that there is an old woman that takes 3 children swimming at the same time as DDs lesson.(1of them is in her class) they run around unchallenged by her as she sits oblivious. Drives me up the wall and I never lower my voice when I'm commenting on them to DH (much to his annoyance) last week one of them put 4 chairs in a line and proceeded to push them down the length of the pool. The noise was horrendous and eventually one if the lifeguards came over to get her to do something. The kid did it 3 more times before his lesson started, I wanted to strangle him!

Hidingthefear · 22/12/2014 15:52

that list doesn't seem too bad Brixton, you have fruit and muslie in there, it's better than mine.
Cocopops
about 10 Pringles because a colleague left them on my desk and she's finished for the year.
Pot Noodle (green one of course)
Yorkie with a hot chocolate
3 Calendar Chocolates (because I don't work weekends)

Quite a fatty and nutritionally poor list i have there Xmas Blush

Yes sure start a new thread, not sure name wise, they don't seem to last us long because were all gasbags :)

New year = New baby, new years resolution... enjoy the pregnancy while it lasts!

TheBooMonster · 22/12/2014 15:57

oh ewby how insensitive and fucking stupid!

brixton it would seem you have the hunger!

I hate it when people treat places as an excuse to ignore their kids lauren it's my biggest bug bear especially when they have a kindle / magazine in hand

also go for it brixton perhaps something about viability as everyone's approaching 24 weeks?

cinnamongreyhound · 22/12/2014 16:11

That its at best insensitive EbwyIsUpTheDuff and at worst exceptionally rude and misinformed, I'm sorry someone spoke to you that way Xmas Sad

Ha Hidingthefear, don't worry! Glad you know now so you can enjoy. I only like warm prawns which is fine. My dh loves them but he's allergic so he eats them occasionally and then his stomach swells and he can't sleep, never seems to learn!

That doesn't seem too bad BrixtonBunny, have you been out and about today too? I have no suggestions on titles I'm rubbish!

cinnamongreyhound · 22/12/2014 16:12

25weeks today Xmas Grin

Lauren82000 · 22/12/2014 16:12

Hiding don't forget there is corn and mushrooms in the pot noodle so that counts towards your 5 a day Wink

EbwyIsUpTheDuff · 22/12/2014 16:13

I think jealousy may be an issue, yes. no kids, no partner... (and not many friends left, tbh... )

and yes, go for it Brixton!
