We were getting perilously close to being full up, hope no one minds!

I'm feeling all Christmassy today, I'm working from home but I've got a Christmas CD on in the background eating clementines and drinking hot vimto!

We are going out tonight for a pub meal and actually looking forward to it, it's a lovely country pub with a big open fire and they do amazing puddings.

I look properly pregnant today it's definitely all bump now.

Had my sneaky nap needed longer but needed to pick everyone up. Sad Still got a sinus headache too and DH is sodding off out tonight so it's just me and DD.

smogsville · 19/12/2014 17:28

Thanks Squatting. Frankly the hundred odd quid a week that you get for pat leave is less of an issue, it's more will be be able to take the time at all, even if unpaid?!

Anyway it's irrelevant as job has been accepted so we'll just have to see what their policy is. He may have to work his three months notice at current place, meaning he would start his new job and be there a whole month before baby arrives, hardly ideal but what can you do.

Hidingthefear · 19/12/2014 17:28

Quick nap wouldn't have been a good iidea seen as we got let home at 3.why didn't I think of that.

Off to works do now, hope I can stay awake lol

TinyTear · 19/12/2014 17:57

Pay rises, what are those? :/ lol
Easter falls early April next year, good Friday is the 6th I think. Coukd he book it as hol and cancel it if he doesnt needit.?
Me and DH work together so they will be flexible with his leave but it's all just statutory stuff at our place.
that's if he stays here. He's been looking for other jobs, which although I support him I do worry that this isn't exactly ideal timing for a new job :/

Sure you'll have a nice time once your there tiny :)

If it's company mat pay then it won't Misty414. I got 4 months full then onto smp when I had ds1, it was just my pay when I went on leave.

Dh gets two weeks at full pay for paternity leave but depending on what happens with the baby has prewar we work that he may tag some holiday on it too.

Easter Monday may be 6th Hidingthefear but not good Friday. I'm due 6th which is a Monday Xmas Grin

We had an awful meal last night, mine wasn't bad but not a lot of it so its sloshing with soft drinks when I came home then dss was up being sick at 2am Sad. Ran my parkrun this morning, picked up my pushchair, timekept at my clubs 10k run which meant I froze for over an hour and then have fallen asleep on the sofa! All I've eaten all day is 3 mince pies and 3 chocolates, feel a bit sick. Ow I've woken up. Perhaps I should eat something useful! My parkrun 50 t-shirt had its last outing today, it's only 3 weeks since I wore it and look!

smogsville · 20/12/2014 14:53

Cinnamon. Not to sound like your mother or anything but time for a rest now surely?

cinnamongreyhound · 20/12/2014 15:16

I'm resting now Xmas Wink just a busy few days! Not ideal when everything comes at once but I'm event director at our parkrun so had to be there for our festive (you can host one on Christmas day but we're not) one and I'm still comfortable running. I like to support the club where I can and ran last year so feel it's good to do your bit on another occasion and last nights dinner was the preschool committee I'm on's Christmas dinner so wanted to attend that. And yes you do sound like my mum (and my dh in fact)!

Hidingthefear · 20/12/2014 16:42

Haha yea you're right cinnamon I just remembered writing that date down as a bank holiday and thought it was the Friday, should have looked at the calendar.
What a bust day, I feel exhausted just reading your post!!!
Late night last night has taken it out of me today, keep dozing off.

kismac · 20/12/2014 21:22

Im waiting on my boss getting back to me about my maternity leave. Im hoping to finish up at end of March, taking annual leave, so officially starting maternity leave mid April. I've got 16 annual leave days to take that should really be used before end of March but hoping they let me carry them over. Ifnot, thinking 4 day weeks for the next 3 months to use them up. Plan is to take a year and then maybe a year career break. Eek.

Weighted myself and I've put on nearly 2stone . Balls! Aww well, I was a size 10 to start, so now a size 12. Not going to worry about it. My diet was really healthy before, whereas now only carbs and full fat fizzy juice don't make me puke.

StuntNun · 21/12/2014 08:42

There's not much point trying to sort out your diet at Christmas anyway Kismac, why not make a new start in the new year? It's crisps for me, I just can't resist them and then I end up eating three bags!

Hidingthefear · 21/12/2014 09:25

I drove to Asda last night coz I really fancied melon, then got there and hagendaz was on offer so I ate that instead :)
TGI for tea tonight for a friend's birthday, never eaten there before so hope it's nice
I'm with stuntnun let's wait until Jan to worry about food :D
had weird dream last night that my cat came home injured and we couldn't save him. He went missing 5 days ago so I think my brain is telling me to stop hoping for him to come back. Just got the puppy left now so at least she can't just up and leave us :(

BananaToast · 21/12/2014 10:11

Sorry to hear about your cat Hiding Sad hope he appears soon.

DH and I both have full blown colds and feeling v sorry for ourselves today. Had such a crap night's sleep. At least it hitting now means we should be over the worst by xmas.

Not to give you false hope but one of my cats went missing for 3 weeks Hidingthefear and then just walked in!! She was very thin so we assume she'd been locked in someone's shed/garage. Was soooo pleased to see her!

Dh is not well, he's been awake all night and struggling to breathe so we're sat in ooh Dr already waited 20 mins for appt. missed my run but couldn't leave him to drive with the kids with tight chest and generally feeling terrible. He never goes to the dr and when I suggested calling 111 he said yes straight away!

Hidingthefear · 21/12/2014 13:59

Thanks banana and cinnamon our other cat Alice went missing a couple of months ago (which was Finlay's sister) and now Fins gone too I'm not holding out much hope for him coming back. He does tend to roam the neighbours houses but they haven't seen him either :( was just ever a year or so ago that I found their other brother jack dead at our back gate. Although most of out neighbours have cats I don't want to set myself up for any more heart ache. I'm sure a dog and a baby will keep me busy enough!

Good , luck with the prawns squatting I love prawns but since they're on the no no llist for eating uncooked I don't fancy any
, not the same cooked lol. We don't do traditional Christmas dinner and instead will be having Indian takeaway with my dad n step mum. Maybe next year I'll give in to a Christmas dinner with DH's lot :/

Hope DH is ok cinnamon!

Squatting I think the NHS website says you can eat cooked cold prawns, so you should be fine!

I've been feeling so dizzy all weekend, not sure why. Have been eating lots / lying down / resting etc. Though I think I might have overdone it in the evenings - Friday night stated out until 2am at a friend's party Shock after having dinner with DPs family for Hanukkah, and then yesterday had a dinner party for friends and I didn't get to bed until 1am. I've been sleeping in late though. So shattered and wobbly Hmm

Baby is clearly not feeling as tired as me though - little wriggler hasn't stopped all weekend!
