Hi, im 29 +1 first post to this topic. Been struggling recently, feeling rather alone during day while my partner works and children at school. I have Fibromyalgia and finding everything exhausting these days. Hoping you ladies don't mind me joining here.

Gudgyx · 13/01/2015 13:56

Hi shelley! welcome to the mad house :) there's always someone online here during the day (normally me skiving) or can join our facebook group!

Butterpuff · 13/01/2015 14:27

I'm usually about during the day too Shelly quite happy to chat.

But not about DTD, I'm a prude Blush

M27J5M · 13/01/2015 14:52

Welcome Shelley Smile

lotsoftoast · 13/01/2015 15:53

Just popping my head in!

gudgy since this baby was practical immaculately conceived, that's been it in terms of any 'activity' - I'm a no go zone in pregnancy. Unless you want to do it, don't stress - he'll have to deal with it!

Actually thought for a while he was just repulsed by me :/

PickledPorcupine · 14/01/2015 07:35

We were DTD but I feel like baby has been twanging my cervix in the last couple of weeks so just can't bring myself to!

theonewiththenoisychild · 14/01/2015 09:24

morning ladies. weve had a bit of snow here we were very surprised to see it still there this morning but its frozen over and the sky looks like there may be more on the way. im in between wanting more so the kids can go sledging and wanting it to do one because it gets very icy down our way once its been well trodden down and takes ages to thaw after too

Gudgyx · 14/01/2015 09:30

Morning ladies!

Same here the one. Snowed all day yesterday, so had a few inches today. It stopped this morning, but by the time I got to the office it had started again, really heavy now! Luckily I live about 3 minutes from the office (lazy bitch driving tbh) so I can walk home if the exchange is too snowy to get out of.

Have big grippy boots on today for that purpose!

Butterpuff · 14/01/2015 09:36

I'm a bit jealous of snow. None here (south east so not much of a surprise) on the other had it would make life more difficult if there were snow. But it is pretty!

Maybe I will hope for some after our central heating has been replaced next week Wink

shelley1977 · 14/01/2015 10:19

Thank you for the welcome , Its snowing here just now and a little bit stayed over night. I love the snow Smile ice not so much as nearly fell this morning outside childrens school.
My partner and I still having regular sex, its getting harder to find a comfortable position though. I never lost the desire even when I had bad morning sickness. My concern is my size, not so much weight wise but im all up front with this one and even though my partner tells me lots how beautiful and sexy I am, I do have my doubts.

pinkandstripey · 14/01/2015 10:30

Morning ladies, just checking in and saying hello :) 33+1 now, keep having small panics in the middle of the night about how close its getting! I finally have a consultant appointment to talk about elcs, so that's something at least!

We're still dtd, probably more regularly than when I got pregnant lol! The shape as above works for us, as does spoons or gentle missionary. Things you confess to on here!!

Hope everyone is well and welcome shelley

pinkandstripey · 14/01/2015 10:31

T shape, not the shape.

Gudgyx · 15/01/2015 10:16

what moses basket do you all have? I reallllly like the big ones with wheels, but the one I like is 140 plus almost 30 delivery and I'm grudging paying that for something she'll sleep in for what 6 months or so.

M27J5M · 15/01/2015 11:32

I got my Moses basket from precious little ones, got it on sale for £40 from £120, got a rocking stand, think that was about£20!

pinkandstripey · 15/01/2015 11:36

6 months? You'll be lucky, ds was too long for his moses by 13 weeks! We went for the widest basket we could find (m&p) as lots of them are so narrow that sleeping in the surrender position looks impossible :(

pinkandstripey · 15/01/2015 11:40

The moses was in the sale but still expensive per use. The mattress that comes with it was crap, so bought the luxury mattress, and the stand (not rocking). Often you'll find that places like m&p have a range of baskets, which are priced differently but all that justifies the price difference is the cover/design, and the actual basket is the same.

shelley1977 · 15/01/2015 11:55

Ive never used a moses basket, I have used the proper carrycot though you get with some prams but also co slept in past so not really needed. Some are very pretty though Smile

M27J5M · 15/01/2015 11:57

I did get a crib too tho, Moses basket is just for use in the living room and the crib is to save space in the bedroomxx

Gudgyx · 15/01/2015 12:01

Think I'm being precious wanting a big fancy one! I bought this one instead. Love how clean and fresh it looks :)

direct.asda.com/george/george-home/white-waffle-wicker-basket/002674205,default,pd.html

That, the stand, and a few fitted sheets - 70 so quite a saving on the expensive one I wanted! Also its neutral so can hopefully use it again

theonewiththenoisychild · 15/01/2015 12:33

thats lovely gudgy im using the one my mum brought for ds its lemon coloured would have liked a new one but had got one so cant have one.

well our living room ceiling started leaking last night. its running down the wall from a leak in the roof. landlord patched it up before xmas. phoned him today he is going to get things moving to get the whole roof completly sorted. but wish he would do something now to keep rain out in the meantime as expecting some awful weather Sad just want to go back to bed and cry. was awake all night crying bloody hormones Sad

Butterpuff · 15/01/2015 14:55

Oh no the one, what a pain. I hope it gets fixed quickly and permanently. I know its seriously stressful having the house out of order this close to baby coming because mine is too. If you have anywhere else to go then maybe just get out for a bit so you don't have to look at the water coming in. And eat chocolate.

We are getting a moses basket off a friend who has said she will give us all of her old baby bits as she is not planning on having anymore.
