Just Shagging Grads 14: Join the viroids for scanxiety, Toni Braxtons, & a little less JSing than usual!

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 14th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Tee maybe take the antihistamine so that you can see if it's an allergy thing? Couldn't just be blood vessels?

HungryHorace · 10/11/2014 18:51

My neck reacted to perfume I'd used for years prior, so that's probably the likely culprit!

laurenamium · 10/11/2014 19:01

Definitely anti histamine first tee I agree with wil and the others Smile I just weed myself being sick. Luckily I was at home. Being pregnant is so glamorous Confused

wilmabedrock · 10/11/2014 19:11

Oh Lauren that's awful in both counts. Hope you feel better soon.

KatoPotato · 10/11/2014 19:35

Tee I've developed a pregnancy cat allergy! Oh the joys!

Got our downs screening results today, all low risk, another relief x

DulcetMoans · 10/11/2014 19:48

Great news kato! Not the cat thing though, that's awful! I couldn't deal with that, a friend got rid of her cats when she got pregnant and that was upsetting enough!

Piss yourself lauren? Another pregnancy surprise!

As a newbie pregnant, can someone explain the raspberry leaf tea thing? I know it's meant to help labour but then why take it earlier popz? Does it do something else?

wilmabedrock · 10/11/2014 19:54

It's supposed to help prepare your insides for labour but it has to build up in your system so people start taking it at the start of the third trimester. No idea if it works or is bollocks though. I think I'm 30 weeks today! Thank fuck.

rm00054 · 10/11/2014 19:57

Congrats ness wonderful news!
GX things aren't too drawn out for you fury rest up, it won't be long! Eek!

Had my first doctors app today, she was lovely and so kind about my lack of knowledge of everything! She also said that if I've not been sick yet (I'm 7+1), then it's unlikely that I will be! So glad to hear her say that not that it takes away the constant nausea feeling but I've got a real anxiety about being sick, so I'm no longer worried that I'm going to throw up. Now I don't want any of you to spoil it with your stories of ms sickness starting after 7 weeks, I'm happy to live in blissful ignorance thank you!
Unfortunately the midwife is booked up for the next 3 months, and only offers 2 days to see her - neither of which I can do (it's pretty impossible for me to get time off work). She's going to phone me on Thurs to hopefully arrange something. Has anyone has experience with needing out of hours appointments? Are mw generally flexible?

WigglyBraddins · 10/11/2014 20:00

Congratulations ness that is fantastic news. Well done you and enjoy this special time with your beautiful boy.

Tee I had a rash throughout the 2nd and 3rd tri with DS. I have one now too...I think it's just one of those annoying weird pregnancy things (unless it's that scary liver thing that I've forgotten the name of).

I had my early scan today. I drank so much water beforehand, my bladder was so full that they didn't have to use dildocam - hoorah! I am the proud gestater of one single bean that is in the correct place and has a heartbeat - hoorah! Dates are odd tho - I should b 8+3 but sonographer said 7 weeks, although she said there was a big margin of error at this stage which is why they don't date you properly until 12 weeks. My 12 week scan might have to move tho. I'm v v relieved that there's definitely something (and on ly one thing) in there.

WigglyBraddins · 10/11/2014 20:04

rm two possible ideas:

  1. I'm in a rural area so the midwives around us work across lots of surgeries. My mw is only in my village on Fridays but if I'm willing to travel to one of the others she can do any day.
  1. The home birth team round here have dedicated midwives. They come to your home at a time that's convenient for you. Homebirth may be the last thing you want, but if you're interested you could see if your homebirth team do something similar.

I'm sure you already know this, but you're legally entitled to time off work for antenatal appointments...but that means you have to tell your emplyer what you're doing.

ZylaB · 10/11/2014 20:19

Great news kato and wiggly

lauren sorry to hear it, at least you were at home!

wilmabedrock · 10/11/2014 20:28

Yeah our midwives aren't flexible at all about stuff like that, you're totally expected to take time off work. Are you full time rm? You could just say you had a hospital appointment if you didn't want to come clean yet?

wilmabedrock · 10/11/2014 20:29

Long time since we heard from Furry, just saying...

Minion · 10/11/2014 20:43

The Tonis have got me! The bastards have finally got me.
Fuck me I feel sorry for myself. Period psins, backache and baby feels like it's gone way low down. To the point its dead squishy above belly button.
Fed up. Com

teejayem · 10/11/2014 20:56

Oh Min :( sends virtual confectionary

Great news Kato & wiggly... Furry, hope you're okay!
Just popped an antihistamine.... Will report back! Thank you!

WigglyBraddins · 10/11/2014 21:01

minion that sounds rubbish. When are you due? Big hugs.

Leela5 · 10/11/2014 21:02

Hey gals

Great news wiggly and kato!

Hope everything's ok with furry - sending positive thoughts to delivery room. Any photos of new baby Ness yet?

Achy boobs and stretchy womb here, I feel good. Vivid dreams (mostly about being naked or clothes being see through), waking up dead on 5am each morning (when I normally check here and see wil is up too!).

Got mw appointment next tues when I'll be 5+3. Hoping she will say I can have early dating scan for free. Last time I paid and it all went wrong from there :(. Trying to stay positive and succeeding a lot of the time, but the thought of scan makes me sick

I've told a few close friends, mostly coz it was too hard to sit receiving sympathy from them about 'you'll get there someday' following mc, it felt dishonest not to tell them. I'm trying to keep it under wraps though everywhere else in case it goes wrong. My mum knows and two people in my team at work so they can cover for me if I need appointments.

Leela5 · 10/11/2014 21:03

Sorry to those if you suffering with sneezes, rashes and Toni braxtons unbreak my heeeeeaaaaaart!

ChatEnOeuf · 10/11/2014 21:09

Good newses Kato and Wiggly. Glad to see you over here La :)

I had the Tonis from about 22 weeks with DD. Never painful, just a reminder on the way home from work each day 'hi, I'm here and your bump's a weird shape now!' Every bloody day. Loved them Grin

Scoob...whatcha doin'?

FurryScoob · 10/11/2014 21:25

Good news wiggly & kato

We really should write a 'truth about pregnancy' book between us, nobody tells you have the stuff you go through! Hope the itching & peeing yourself don't last long viroids!
I've been bouncing on my ball & the pains have all stopped so I'm off to bed, baby furry's not coming out today!

RPopz · 10/11/2014 21:59

The Toni's are uncomfy rather than out and out painful... Just seem to have had loads this afternoon/ evening!

Dulce the raspberry leaf tea is supposed to help tone your uterus and make second stage of labour progress quicker. I don't think there's any evidence whatsoever to prove it but an extra cup of tea a day is no great hardship so worth a try. Not recommended in early preg though, or if you already get loads of Toni's

Great news on successful appointments and scans ladies Grin

Glad you're feeling good (bad Grin ) La I think the not telling people before 12 weeks rule definitely changes when you've had complications/ mcs in past.

Low down baby Min - sounds good!! How long you got left now??

Just had our last antenatal class and a surprise tour round the labour ward. Now eating a metric fucktonne the of KFC Grin

DulcetMoans · 10/11/2014 22:14

Sorry popz, still in imperial here, what's that in double decker buses or football pitches?

Thanks for the tea update. Interesting...!

Still haven't told anyone yet la, not sure why... Not holding out, just hasn't come up. Your team must be quite understanding.

How does the virtual confectionary work tee? Do we get to choose? On a chocolate factory tour a few weeks ago they asked our fave chocolate bars. Was so hard! Luckily they didn't get to me to answer cos I was struggling!

wilmabedrock · 10/11/2014 22:17

Mmmm KFC. Bet that would bring on the old heartburn.

Foetal Wil is having some kind of rave tonight so it seems. Hope that's not a bad thing.

What's your due date Min? Wonder if you'll be early.

What is it about these balls stopping contractions? Hope you get a lovely night's rest before it starts back up again scoob.

Yes La I am queen of the early wake ups. And wrecked by about 3pm.

RPopz · 10/11/2014 22:30

But so worth it wil Wink

Probably enough to feed a double decker bus full of peoples Dulce

I'm thinking of getting a birth ball soon... the dog will love it.. Hmm

ZylaB · 10/11/2014 22:43

Oh god I want KFC now! Can't get comfy in bed either so given up on trying to sleep for a bit.
