Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 14th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed!

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids!

Gx kato Thanks

laurenamium · 03/11/2014 07:45

Good luck today Kato! Grin I've got scan envy. Another 4 weeks to wait until my next one!

I made DP move the furniture in my bedroom around yesterday afternoon. Probably a bit premature but its only quite a small room and I was panicking about how a swing crib would fit in. But it's all moved around and lovely and tidy now. The crib can stay in the loft until after Christmas though Grin

Who was it that looked at the mothercare orb when pushchair shopping? I'm expecting a big back payment through work so going to put pushchair money to one side. But I can't remember if the orb was written off as rubbish or not? I really like it Confused

Pisghetti · 03/11/2014 08:03

I was interested in it Lauren. It's a Which Best Buy however the customer reviews are worrying at best - lot of reports of snapping frames. I saw it in the flesh yesterday and still like it a lot but I'm not going to go for it now.

laurenamium · 03/11/2014 08:08

Have you decided on a different one in particular pis? I know someone with one that gets used a lot, and she's had no problems with it. But I'm aware that mothercare customer services are rubbish if something goes wrong on it too Hmm

Pisghetti · 03/11/2014 08:15

Sorry it was sticking brakes rather than snapping chassis! Hmmm having re-read the reviews there do seem to be more positive ones on the Mothercare site now......

RPopz · 03/11/2014 08:15

Mothercare customer service is appauling (take a look at their fb page!!) I'd highly recommend not buying any big ticket items from there if you can help it.

Good luck with the scan Kato is it your 12 week one?? I lose track!! Gx all is well and you see a nice wriggly bean Smile

Dulce I think they prob like it when people go prepared with lists etc. Appointments are so short you need to make the most of em! I'm only jeal cos I work for the nhs, and furthest I ever get to go is Bradford Wink

Pisghetti · 03/11/2014 08:18

What age is your friend's child? There are also reports that it becomes too uncomfortable after about a year in pushchair mode because of the angle of the seat and the short leg rest? It was something that Which picked up on too.

laurenamium · 03/11/2014 08:27

Ah that's worth thinking about. She's only about 10 months so not long enough to notice about the length of the footrest.:.

Ill be back at work after 9 months and very likely to mostly be taking the double with me depending on which children come. But you're right there's no point getting a pushchair that can't be used after a certain age...back to the drawing board Confused

splodge77 · 03/11/2014 08:41

Ah thanks for the advice guys, I'll check with midwife & hopefully I can get it sorted. Constant sneezing + weak pelvic floor not a happy combo! Good luck Kato, hope it all goes well xx

BothersomeB · 03/11/2014 11:02

Eeek - just booked early scan and NIFTY test for 7th December. We were discussing whether it's worth it when the NHS tests are nearly as accurate and the scan only 2 weeks later...but 2 weeks feels like an eternity at the moment and we've got so many friends and family gatherings in that particular 2 week period, what with Christmas and all...at least we'll be able to blab with a bit more peace of mind. Smile

Nessalina · 03/11/2014 11:14

Sounds great Bother Smile Risks of MC drop hugely after 8 weeks (if heartbeat already detected) and the NIFTY picks up any other big issues, so you'll be able to breathe easy and tell everyone!

We reorganised my side of the bedroom and put the Bednest frame up yesterday - it fits! Grin Hurrah. Just need a baby now... Last night I was using the base as a substitute bedside table coz I've had to move mine, but it's got massive gaps in it so I managed to knock everything off onto the floor in the night Confused D'oh.

Morning girls....

FX all is good a wriggly kato lovely xx

Grats Dulcet!

ness! anything happening yet?!

I had attack of the MiL and GiL yesterday, took all of my inner zen to sit and smile nicely through lunch while the barrage of: 'This is how I would do it' 'Don't expect to be able to breastfeed' 'I suppose you'll have to go back to work, then what?' 'you should start thinking about your nursery' 'Are you going to buy a house now?' 'Have you thought this through?' 'Is this why you got engaged?' (Actually I think we conceived the weekend we got engaged Blush) and about 9 million other things I have opinions or seem to know best on. -but none of their biz. in fact none of it is ANY of their biz, GiL came out with the absolute Gem - 'All my other Great Grandchildren are perfectly behaved babies, so I expect you'll end up with a difficult one', and then MiL dropped in 'Oh did we tell you twins run in the family on both sides?'. Brilliant... thanks for that.... Hmm

I was in such a strop by the time we got home I sat and cried at Jurassic Park II while Mr Tee supplied chocolate digestives and tissues, telling me they all 'mean well'. I want to be able to explain to him that I really don't want anyone interfering with any of this baby 'stuff' at the moment and if I/we want help then we will ask, but I really don't like being made to feel like I'm 'family property' now if that makes sense? or am i being crazy pregnant lady?

anyway. It's Monday and I had a chocolate custard yoghurt thing for breakfast, and I don't give a toss. Ha!

ZylaB · 03/11/2014 11:25

Lol ness

Fx for scan kato

I'm doing nothing today, except a load of washing, rehomed all my books from shelves into a massive cupboard yesterday and am still knackered lol. Playroom is done though, treadmill didn't get moved yesterday but it might be happening tomorrow night. We're just waiting for mamas and papas to let us know when the nursery furniture is coming! I want to get as much done as possible before Christmas and can then just potter about and chill out after...

ZylaB · 03/11/2014 11:29

Aww tee just ignore it and let it go past you, all the decisions are you you and your DP, everyone else doesn't count.

My DM tried to touch my bump yesterday and wasn't happy when I backed away and told her only DH was allowed to touch it. She them kept trying to get me to pull my top up to "show her the bump" again I refused, she could see the shape of it through my shirt anyway, wtf??

KatoPotato · 03/11/2014 11:32

so yes, there's a wiggly little baby in there!

Had to keep getting up and jumping around, and took four attempts, trips to the loo, walk downstairs but eventually got into position for dating (12w3d - 1 day further than I calculated) and the NT.

Got bloods for combined screening too so gx I don't hear anything in the next 72hours!

BothersomeB · 03/11/2014 11:43

Aw Kato - your bean looks amazing! Grin Must be a huge relief too - wish I could fast forward to that time right now!
tee- I don't think you're being unreasonable - I'd have the right hump if it was me...how do they manage to make it all about them?! This is one of the reasons we're telling my family early but not his - we only want helpful people involved at the start. I fully expect plenty of unwanted advice from his side when we do tell them and. Luckily Mr B is even less patient with such things than me so I can see hime leaping to my defence and putting them back in their place before I have to. Wink

Nessalina · 03/11/2014 11:48

Yay Kato! Great news Smile You can have your five mins of feeling chilled out now before you start worrying for the next scan or is that just me?? Grin Awwww it's so cool to see them in real life isn't it? Did you get some good pics? Our 12 week ones were so fuzzy it was ridiculous Grin

Tee - how awful Confused I hope your side of the family are a bit more supportive! Just try and zone it out if you can, you're going to get a lot more stupid advice before the end of this pregnancy!

Good luck with that Zyla - I've had a whole range of people (and customers!) decide that it's suddenly ok to be touching my stomach. Ugh! What is it about a pregnant belly that says touch me?! Confused

Nothing here. Due tomorrow Shock Doubt it'll be tomorrow!!

OP posts:
Pisghetti · 03/11/2014 11:49

Yay Kato! Sounds like a stubborn wee bairn though Smile

Tee hereditary likelihood of twins only shows up in the mother not the father so his family having them doesn't affect your chances.

Ness DP sleeps on the 'wrong' side in my house so I end up knocking over stuff on my bedside table quite often as it's on the wrong side of me! I've managed two full pints of water (on different occasions), baby book, iPad, phone etc.... He's going to have to swap as there isn't really enough room for a crib on that side plus it isn't nice to throw pints of water at unsuspecting babies.

Nessalina · 03/11/2014 11:49

Ooh on the app - I guess you posted a pic! goes to check Smile

KatoPotato · 03/11/2014 11:53

KatoPotato · 03/11/2014 11:54

Reported

Nessalina · 03/11/2014 11:55

Yep, you'll need to report for deletion, crop pic on your phone and repost the post Smile Easily done!! I'm pretty sure Min did the same with hers! Grin

teejayem · 03/11/2014 12:14

yay kato brilliant Pic!! :) soo pleased for you x

Thanks everyone, didn't think I was being complete hysteric. Thank fully my Ma and Pa are totally hands off, which is amazing. (and this will be their 2nd grandchild, thanks to my little bro!). I think mil just brought up the twins thing to provoke a reaction, although I just said 'well, we'll find out in a couple of weeks won't we!!' knob. I'm trying to think of other pearls of wisdom that were shared. 'If you don't find out what you're having you won't bond properly' - speaks volumes for your maternal relationships eh.... fgs!

Okay. Putting claws away!
