Ah chips that is a lovely story; thank you for sharing! Congratulations Smile

Rooner I doubt it! It's very sore, though, and I can't tell the difference now between cramps and hunger... If I get up to eat now I won't be arsed to come back up but it's cold downstairs!

Ah peace I know that feeling. Do you lie warm in bed for hours in the dark with heartburn/hunger/cramp or actually get up. I usually just lie there hoping I will fall asleep.

I had a bad night too. Loads of odd pains to get me excited. I stupidly did a exercise DVD last night to try to bring things on pointless in my case and think it was lots of sore muscles.

AziziRose · 04/12/2014 07:30

Hi all,

Nooo idea if any updates have been given, I lost the thread on phone and iPad is still stashed in hospital bag so no idea what page I was on!

I had my little boy on Saturday morning, he was a dinky 5lbs9 and very cute (biased? Me?). He arrived in a pool with just gas and air after about 11hr labour (felt much shorter!). I have a second degree tear which I was completely unprepared for and sobbed uncontrollably throughout suturing ??. Also found out mid labour that I had apparently tested positive for group B strep so had a ridiculously big cannula and had to stay 24hrs post birth - ended up being 2nights with breastfeeding issues (massive boobies and a teeny tiny mouth, plus complete exhaustion) but things seem good now.

Hope everyone else is well?

Oh lord an exercise DVD is brave! I'm not surprised you ache!
I've had (TMI) loose bowels for about twelve hours, so I'm either clearing out or just have an upset stomach, hence the cramps. Lovely.
I got up at 5:30 and had some tea and toast and have been crocheting in between pains since then. Waiting until DH wakes up so I can hoover and make noise!

Hope you feel better soon.

Morning all - Congratulations to all the new mummies that have popped up in recent days.
My little one was due two days ago so I'm in the frustrating waiting zone; which is even tougher when the HG has decided to ramp up for the finale. Nights are very broken with at least 5 loo visits, then such joy, at 5am the vomiting starts.......so I'd quite like this little boy to be born...please.

Hugmonster82 · 04/12/2014 09:31

I was due yesterday ziggy so playing the waiting game too. Lots of babies being born early and jumping the queue made me hopeful but it looks like I may be in this for the long haul. I've been having cramps on and off for a couple of weeks now but they never turn into anythingHmm

ziggystarducks · 04/12/2014 09:38

Awww Hugs to you Hugsmonster!! It is SO frustrating! Mine has had his head engaged for nearly 8 weeks now, the MW thought he may even come early!! But no, not a peep yet. Lots of painful BH in the evenings mainly.

Chips1999 · 04/12/2014 12:19

Congratulations Azizi Flowers ie got a second degree tear for the second time, just to reassure you it healed up fine the first time! The best tips I had was to wash my bits each time after going to the toilet to keep the area clean and to also lie on the bed a few times a day on a towel or something and no pants to 'air' your bits. Really helped it heal and pelvic floor exercises to increase blood flow to area. The area heals fast anyway because of blood flow.

Hopefully those of you overdue and waiting haven't got too much longer to go now! Lots of long baths and relaxing x

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/12/2014 17:42

Got horrendous heartburn tonight. I think it's because I'm spitting acid at City Link who failed to deliver my cot mattress and didn't even leave a note (yes, I waited in all day for them). So now I have to wait in all day tomorrow as well. Note: always collect in store from Mother(fuckers)care.

Congratulations to chips1999 and Azizirose Grin

And wow BHLS it sounds like you had a pretty full on experience, what a marathon! Well done for putting up with the horrible midwife.

38+6 today. Just need to wash a few more things to pack in the hospital bag and do my tax return and I'll be ready for this baby.

Can I join the FB group? I feel I'm missing out on lots of the action!

Lucy90 · 04/12/2014 21:02

Congrats to those who have already had their babies and good luck to those who are still due.
Just wanted to say I am thinking of you all x

Lucy90 · 04/12/2014 21:43

Peace i am also bouncing!
And i also had trouble with bloody mothercare deliveries, our cot was over a week late! I rang to complain and got a goodwill voucher so get on the phone in the morning Wink

monkeybaby2 · 04/12/2014 21:59

kusmile and anybody else who wants to join the fb group too, I've opened it and will hide it again tomorrow morning. Search fb for 'Jingle Babies - DD Dec 2014' and request to join. One of the admins will add you

If we miss anyone, please do PM me and we'll sort out opening it again.

kusmile · 04/12/2014 22:03

I just sent a request on FB

monkeybaby2 · 04/12/2014 22:04

I also had a PITA moment with Mothercare mattress delivery for DD's new bed. They were supposed to text me to tell me what day it would arrive. Lo and behold I arrive home the other day to find it leaning up against the front door. It's not so bad because we live on a dead end in a titchy village but still pretty crap!

monkeybaby2 · 04/12/2014 22:04

Kusmile, I've got you :)

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/12/2014 22:20

Will get on the phone to MC tomorrow! I love the possibility of a voucher ;) was a bit miffed we didn't get one from JL when we had to ask for a replacement bolt for the cot... I am greedy Wink
We phoned Shitty Link to try to sort it out and their staff are so miserable and don't sound at all surprised when you say there was no delivery attempt or note left. I feel sorry for them; their jobs must be awful in the call centre having to deal with the fallout from the "deliveries". Blah. We're picking it up from the depot tomorrow night instead now.
I've got another delivery scheduled from them but it hasn't been dispatched yet. I might just try to automatically change it to store pick up if I can.
My ball needs inflating, but I can't be bothered, so no more bouncing for me tonight Hmm

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 04/12/2014 22:38

Oh man. I literally just sent Mothercare a fantastically snotty email, and then had a message saying my second order has been dispatched.
