Mines long curly and messy. if I cut it short then its short curly and messy but I cant scrag it back. I think I am going to have it trimmed next week to neaten it up then leave it. Grin

I am a long haired girl. Shorter hair makes my face look fatter but last time I got about 6/7 inches cut off thinking it'd be easier (about 4 years ago) I spent way longer on it in the morning and it looked awful most of the time. I couldn't pull off a pixie cut but if you can, why not?!

I do find it easier having it long as then can either dry and tie back, or if i have to leave it wet/part dry it and then tie it back or pleat it.

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/11/2014 13:15

I shaved my head when I was a teenager and never really did anything to it as it grew out. That's why I'm thinking it'll be more manageable, but then I am pretty lazy :P

The co-codamol is starting to space me out, which is nice because although the pain is still there, I don't really mind, if that makes sense?

32 weeks today! Scary stuff!

Rooner, I'll open it now and close it about 10ish tonight. Search for Jingle babies - DD Dec 2014

Roonerspism · 01/11/2014 15:16

Thanks monkey. I think I'm FB thick. When I search, it doesn't appear. What am I searching for

Chipandspuds · 01/11/2014 15:29

I'm umming and ahhing about cutting my hair, I think I'm just going to keep the length and ask them to tidy it up. Since having DS my hair seems to have got used to being washed less anyway so it's lower maintenance this time around already Grin

Poor DH has a huge 'to do list' written by me Blush Much as we annoy each other at times he's really good once he gets onto sorting stuff out!

Today he's got up and done DS's breakfast, plumbed in our new washing machine, treated us to lunch at Harvester and is now doing the food shop on his own as DS has fallen asleep in the car!

I've done the washing and drying, and washed three loads in the machine..so not slacking too much...!

monkeybaby2 · 01/11/2014 17:39

Rooner, did you find us? If you search for 'Jingle babies - DD Dec 2014' in the search box on fb it should come up, then just request to join and one of us can add you.

Otherwise I think if I friend you on fb I can just add you to it if you can't find it. You can unfriend me after and I won't be offended Smile

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 01/11/2014 21:05

First November baby has been born at 34 weeks by c-section. Littlebear81 had a girl today, 4lbs 12 oz (I think). In scbu but doing well! Grin

Roonerspism · 01/11/2014 21:16

monkey if I search it gives me the options to search either "friends", "everyone" and "pages". If I choose the "everyone" option, lots of jingle things come up but not Jingle Babies. Hmm.

And if I go into Facebook groups, there isn't a search function...

peace thanks for the update! Congratulations :)

monkeybaby2 · 01/11/2014 21:25

Hmmm, weird. Are you using an old version of fb? When I search it doesn't ask me to choose, it searches everything as a default. Shall we try the other way? I can friend you and add you that way? I'll PM you.

monkeybaby2 · 01/11/2014 21:31

Rooner, I just messages you :)

monkeybaby2 · 01/11/2014 21:44

*messaged (stupid autocorrect)

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 01/11/2014 21:57

It was BHLS who updated, not me!! Thank you for letting us know, hope mum and baby are okay

Just noticed littlebear81 is in Surrey! Wonder if she's near me and which hospital she was at?

I went to my first NCT class yesterday. Was slightly freaked out to discover that I have the earliest due date of all the ladies. (13/12 - the latest is 9/1 I think). No pressure....

Lucy90 · 02/11/2014 06:16

Oh another baby i wonder who will be next!!
I ended up in triage yesterday because i couldnt feel the baby moving and none of the usual tricks were working!
Turns out she is fine in there was just preparing herself to move further down!
Had a lovely meal out last night for SILs birthday and out to look at some more baby bits today!
Whats everyone else upto?

omama · 02/11/2014 08:50

Oh Peace it does sound like u are having a rough time. I had costochondritis once, mine was at the front & I swear I thought I was having a heart attack. Very painful & scary so you have my total sympathy. Hope you're feeling a bit better today. Flowers

Catface - going back a few pages but can't believe you have to do your birth plan by yourself! In my area you do it with the midwife at the 34 week appointment - they go through all the points in your booklet & make sure everything is written down eg who will support you in labour, drugs, if you are ok for them to use ventouse & forceps, induction process etc. & she also talked me right through all options for pain relief etc & in particular specific to my situation (vbac). I found it to be very thorough. It amazes me how different areas receive such different services.

Lucy scary but glad you got reassurance yesterday.

I think my baby has moved even further down now, am having lots of period pain type cramps & finding it really uncomfortable to sit down, or walk, or stand! Getting a lot of swelling in my legs by the end of the day too so really need not to be doing so much! DS is back at school tomorrow so hopefully I can actually get at least a couple of hours of rest!

35+2 eek!

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 02/11/2014 10:20

Omama it does feel exactly how I imagine a heart attack must feel like! Thank you for the sympathy

Ouch peace, sounds nasty :( But mmmmm Jaffa cake! MiL made vegan jaffa cakes for my baby shower yesterday

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 02/11/2014 11:03

What did you do at your baby shower Sasseh? My sister is desperate to organise one but I'm Hmm about it all.

BigHairyLeggedSpider · 02/11/2014 15:52

I'm not having one either. Going out for a meal tomorrow night with my workfolk. I am regretting not having one a bit because someone posted a picture of some tiny white babygros that they had people decorate with fabric pens and I LOVE that idea.

nickyjlees · 02/11/2014 16:17

I aw a bit Hmm about having a baby shower as well. So my mum and sis took me to a spa for the day and had a lovely massage and was spoiled with presents, balloons and cake from them, perfect :) they both live v far away so the only time we usually are all together is Xmas day, was lovely to spend time with them. Whilst we were at the spa my mums partner and sisters fiancé took my OH for a day at the climbing centre for his "daddy shower" :)

kusmile · 02/11/2014 19:57

Roonerspism and AziziRose - thanks for sharing your experience with traverse babies, very useful. Azizi, fingers crossed your little bear has turned the right way up now.

I can't imagine it can be comfortable to be traverse, but spending weeks upside down doesn't sound very appealing either.

Re: baby showers, they sound like a lot of fun. I'd love to have one, mainly as an excuse to get friends round, but also because the prospect of a baby is really exciting and it would be nice to celebrate it. But baby showers seem to have a bit of a reputation for being an exercise in gift-soliciting so yeah, not sure about it.

Ohh, I'm going on holiday to Belgium on Tuesday Grin I doubt we'll do much more than a few short walks... even standing for a few minutes is exhausting, but still, it's a change from England. God forbid the baby decides to come early :-s

CatFaceCrayola · 03/11/2014 01:36

omama I'm really hoping it was just a particularly narky MW. Will probably have a different mw at 36 weeks so will ask again. Would really like someone to talk me through it.

I'm not having a baby shower...I just can't be arsed.

Pregna-joy of the day. I just farted...and wet myself :/

Peaceloveandbiscuits · 03/11/2014 04:23

I seem to be waking up every two hours tonight Confused
