Just Shagging Grads thread No.13 for upduffed viroids!

Nessalina · 06/10/2014 07:46

Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 13th grads thread... celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed! Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 29th outing. WARNING: they're all a bit kerazy not to mention randy! Grin

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal clubs here for once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates! It's a bit quiet at the moment, but with all these upduffed viroids hopefully it won't be for long!

There is also a private facebook group (so it doesn't give the game away in your news feed!)... if you want to join to see photos of new babies etc, just ask in-thread!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

wilma No I left Aus 8 years ago, to reside in the Great London Toon. Not a better city to be had in my humble opinion!

I'm also not a McDs fan, it just repeats on me for days, even when not pg. Gravy on toast doesn't sound wildly appealing, but Oxo with Worcester sauce sounds delish! LOL I used to just eat Oxo cubes when I was a kid, weird I guess but I also ate dry chicken noodle soup and Weeties (like Weetabix flakes) too... Randomly, DD now likes her Weetabix biscuits dry, with a cup of milk on the side... Food fetishes have to be the upside of pg in my opinion, perhaps making up somewhat for the lack of wine?

wilmabedrock · 14/10/2014 13:50

Honestly I'm really not a fussy eater but the thought of drinking oxo makes me heave!

Boo, how come your dd is losing weight? What a worry for you. We have a really over zealous HV, she keeps referring us places.

TabbyTurmoil · 14/10/2014 14:37

I couldn't drink bovril or oxo. Love marmite though, and am partial to a nice hot cup of vegetable bouillon.

lauren glad to hear the good scan news, hope the gp sorts you out today.

mini also glad to hear the scan went well.

fresh I'm another londoner, there seems to be a few of us now!

splodge if I were you I think I'd see the gp instead of soldiering on feeling so sick?

juni please stay around and keep us updated on baby developments!

Nessalina · 14/10/2014 15:31

He's turned around!!! GrinGrinGrinGrin
Thank f*ck for that eh? Sooo relieved!
The 'consultant' appointment was an absolute farce though. Arrived at 10:20 for 10:30 appt, then at 11:00 I'm seen by a midwife who does BP, has a feel about and Doppler and says she's pretty sure he's still breech. She then starts to tell me that I've got three options, ECV, VB or CS, and I'm like Hmm I know, that's why I'm here, I need to see if he's still breech and if not, book a CS. So she's like 'oh! Well I'll see if there's a consultant free!' Confused So much for my 'appointment'!
So 20mins later the registrar comes in, says the consultant is busy, but she will take me through the CS, do all consent forms and answer questions. I'm like 'but don't you want to scan first to make sure he's still breech?' And she says that there's no sonographer free, and in any case, they think he's still breech, but if there's a free spot when we're done then they can maybe squeeze me in.
So she goes through the CS which sounded as I expected, but when she came to book me in the unit is chocka that week, so there's only one slot available, 3rd ELCS of the day... Which means not eating/drinking from midnight the day before, showing up at 7am, then being seen when they get round to us Confused When my friend went in for her CS they were 2nd and didn't get seen til 3pm!
So I had a little hormonal blub, got swabbed for MRSA (!), booked in for more blood tests, and by now it's midday. She manages to grab a sonographer and whisks me into a scan room, 2mins later: 'oh right, well that's definitely a head at the bottom there!' Shock So all the previous 90mins had been completely pointless!! Why the heck didn't they scan me first?!
I was too relieved to be annoyed really, lol Grin

Juni! Don't go! As long as you're here, I'm not next! Wink And obviously we wanna know what's going on!!

Ah fab news ness worra relief!

this pregnancy has given me :

a small stomach swelling which realistically I know is the baby / uterus but can't help suspecting is just the pizza and doughnuts Blush

meat cravings! Normally only eat meat a couple of times a week but am now a complete beast for it.

Sex dreams Blush which usually start out fun but end up weird and embarrassing e.g. having sex in open plan office with people walking past.

Tiredness so that I am struggling to do any work this afternoon despite getting an ok night's sleep. I'm almost 15 weeks - shouldn't I have my energy back? Should I be worried?

freshstart4us · 14/10/2014 15:49

Tabby all completely normal m'dear. My sex dreams with DD were explicit at best, and downright disturbing and upsetting at worst.

Interesting you notice the meat cravings, a very dear friend of mine who had been strict veggie for 20+ years suddenly started eating chicken, then a week later was onto steak, when pg with her DS.

Tiredness - perfectly normal until around 20 weeks I think. Sorry. You are allowed 100mg caffeine if that helps?

As for your beginnings of a belly, it's a very gradual thing, and indeed you just look like you've eaten all the pies up until you "pop", which can be anywhere from 20-26 weeks. One day, you look tubby. The next, you look PREGNANT. Very cool. :)

laurenamium · 14/10/2014 15:50

Amazing news ness Grin

How did it go today boo? Hopefully okay and your DD hasn't lost too much weight!

I've got anti sickness meds Grin can't wait for it to be night time so I can take one! I'm expecting a miracle cure ready for my birthday tomorrow! In the mean time though I've suffered a new indignity, throwing up in tesco toilet cubicle- trying to ignore the vile stains and listening to the lady next door STRAINING and grunting while doing a very ploppy and long poo. New lows Grin

TabbyTurmoil · 14/10/2014 16:06

Thanks fresh !

lauren noooo! Hopefully the meds can save you from any more experiences like that!

FurryScoob · 14/10/2014 16:23

Yay what a relief ness no more sticking your arse in the air!

tabby maybe it's all the sex in your sleep that's making you tired!

lauren hope the tablets work & you can keep more than a banana down for your birthday.

Well after 6 hours trying to ring the hospital I had a little hormonal breakdown & DP rang the 24 hour assesment centre, got through straight away & got all my questions answered in 1 go!

TheBooMonster · 14/10/2014 16:24

Oh Nes your day sounds like a comedy sketch in all the worst ways! it does sound fairly classic of the NHS to me mind...

fresh I thought we were allowed 200?! puts down my coffee in panic I've been having two instant coffees and a can of coke a day :s

DD's appointment went really well, she's stabilised in the 9th centile which the dietician is happy with, and now that she's tolerating dairy products she's not worried about her calcium intake. She's very interested that soya seems to be her primary intolerance as apparently that's quite unusual.

We're seeing her again in 8 months and that's mainly as a way to sneak bump in with her if there are any issues indicative of a similar intolerance, and she's putting some tins of nutramigen milk on standby for us for when bump comes in case I can't feed and bump doesn't tolerate formula.

teejayem · 14/10/2014 16:40

lauren I echo the supermarket low sentiment, although mine was at a London mainline rail terminus yesterday morning. AND I had to pay 30p for the privilege to spleeeeugh into a filthy unsanitary public loo, listening to someone take a shit which sounded like they were emptying a ketchup bottle, whilst I tried to retain some dignity with tears and snot running down my face before breezing into work.
Mat Leave cannot come soon enough. I am going to have chip shop chips dipped in my new bovril jar tonight.

freshstart4us · 14/10/2014 16:41

OMG can we have 200? rushing off to check caffeine recommendations I've been short-changing myself this whole time!! Thank you boo!!

BTW ness I failed to comment on your successful bum in the air action. VERY well done, I am so pleased for you - but unsurprised at the ridiculous kerfuffle at the clinic. NHS has many great things going for it, but organisation ain't one of them.

lauren FX for you for a happy and ploopy-poo-free birthday tomorrow. ;)

wilmabedrock · 14/10/2014 17:07

It is 200mg but that's apparently equivalent to 2 instant coffees.

Great news Ness! I think our NHS up here is really good. I wonder if it's just the difference in the amount of people using the services.

Good news about your daughter Boo. MiniWil was dairy intolerant but has kind of grown out of it. Soya was terrible though.

TabbyTurmoil · 14/10/2014 17:17

Sorry tee but the ketchup bottle comparison made me laugh and turn green at the same time!

furry that would certainly explain it! Glad you got there eventually although hormonal meltdowns shouldn't really be necessary!

boo glad it went well and must be a relief she can have dairy - a friend's lo is dairy intolerant and it sounds stressful.

RPopz · 14/10/2014 18:06

Bloody hell Ness what a day!! NHS is just unreal sometimes.... Thank goodness for that though! Grin

TabbyTurmoil · 14/10/2014 18:26

The priority seat stickers on my overland train say "please offer this seat to an elderly or disabled person" but do not say anything about the pregnant woman whose stomach you're staring at and who is so tired she is on the verge of tears.

wilmabedrock · 14/10/2014 18:39

Oh Tabby that's how I felt in London the other week. The heat on the tube nearly made me vom. Also sorry to say that I'm around 26 weeks (I think!) and I am still bloody knackered. This tiredness aint shifting.

JuniDD · 14/10/2014 18:40

hello, am still gonna post and read here, just not spend hours looking at things to get upset abt!

Massive yay to baby ness, what a good boy turning for you! So pleased and sorry about all the palaver. (maybe he can give my baby some tips?!)

Glad you got some meds Lauren.

Funny but not funny for you pukers next to the ploppy pooers. Yuck!

Minion · 14/10/2014 19:13

I loves toilet talk! Makes me feel reet at home haha.
Right I relaxed yesterday and have kept knees together so hoping that it isn't pgp but a bad muscle pain as today hasn't been as awful.
Nursery starting to get plastered tomorrow, and im freaking tired.
I mean I was tired when I was flying, but this...
This is something else. I know it won't get much better, I just needed a moan x

Nessalina · 14/10/2014 19:13

Yeah, MN does have it's moments with stuff to get annoyed about. Although I had to make myself turn off the radio the other day, Jeremy Vine was getting me SO angry talking about striking midwives!!

You poor public-toilet-inflicted viroids!! That's just gross. And even worse to have to pay 30p just to vom! Although at our station it's 40p... I remember coz I got preg rage at that too Blush It has to be 40p in 2x20p pieces OR 4x10p. But 1x20p and 2x10p? Apparently not good enough!! Some poor woman got my 'oh for FUCKS sake!!! Does anyone have a 20p piece?!?!'

OP posts:
Nessalina · 14/10/2014 19:16

That sucks Min Confused Glad you got some chilling time in! I stormed round town earlier then came home for a three hour nap. And boy do my legs cane now!

OP posts:
laurenamium · 14/10/2014 19:51

Oh ness that toilet sounds like a nightmare! Luckily I don't need to get trains anymore, from the stories on here I'm very pleased about it!

Tee I'm glad someone else has reached the same lows as me! Although at least I didn't have to pay for the privilege!

Ill catch up properly tomorrow. Going to try eat, shower then sleep and pray the meds work Grin

laurenamium · 14/10/2014 19:53

DP has just produced me cheese slices on toast as requested. He's made the cheese into love hearts bless him Grin

teejayem · 14/10/2014 20:16

I made the terrible error of just watching An episode of one born every minute I randomly had on the Sky plus thingy.

I'll be right over here in denial if anyone wants me. Shock

Cheese love hearts sound amazing Lauren!

freshstart4us · 14/10/2014 20:21

Oh tee I used to love that show before I got pg with DD but as soon as I was I could NOT watch. Haven't attempted it yet since my BFP, not sure if I will tbh!
