Any June mums to be yet?

I've seen the group for May or June, but are there any other definite Junes yet?
Been getting faint positive lines for a few days but today have got a definite line, giving me a due date of around 6th June :)

Trying to stay cautiously optimistic at the moment as we had an MMC in May at 8 weeks.

So, who else is out there? :)

Insomnia is great when you work night shifts Grin.

I sleep better in the day Shock.

JennyOfOldstones · 12/10/2014 07:30

Phryn my sickness seems to kick in around 4pm I felt really rubbish yesterday. Very glad it was a Saturday! It didn't help that DP went out drinking on Friday and the house stank of stale booze and curry farts when I woke up! Had to open all the windows and light candles!

Envious crystallised ginger sounds amazing I am going to try and get some today. Ginger tea really helps.

sparkle17 · 12/10/2014 08:31

Very interrupted sleep for me. Grrr!
Done another frer test this morning. The pregnancy line is so strong, darker than the control. Was nice to see

phryn glad you enjoyed the wedding. Can you share your non drinking tactics. I've got a wedding next weekend.

bubalou · 12/10/2014 08:59

Hey all. Wow all the symptoms we try to look for during the 2ww we really should learn don't appear until about 5-6 weeks! If I felt like this I would have known I was pregnant for sure!

Sickness has been horrendous for me for the last 4 days. I have literally been on the sofa with a bucket. I've been able to make the school runs just about.

I'm sitting in bed eating a rich tea biscuit. Hmm I don't remember ever being this bad with DS but I take it as a good sign.

Hope you're all feeling well.

So glad you got some sleep sunbathing. Smile

kaybug · 12/10/2014 12:36

Happy lazy Sunday everyone! Hope everyone slept well. Looking at everyone's symptoms on here and wondering is it bad that I don't have any at all.. my boobs look slightly bigger and are a bit sore/tingly but other than that I feel completely normal! I swear I have felt more like I could be pregnant in other months leading up to my period!
Just going to think myself lucky for now but it is making it harder to believe because I don't feel any different! Guess I'm only 5ish weeks so still early days and I may have all this to look forward to :-/
Anyone else have no symptoms whatsoever?

MrsExtraOrdinary · 12/10/2014 12:56

I can smell burnt toast. Nobody has burnt any toast today. Or yesterday. Not sure it's ridicule from Friday night. My bed stinks of cigarette smoke. We don't smoke. I am going insane. Yesterday eve, cramps stepped up to unbearable. Lasted all night. Had about an hours respite this morning then back they were, extremely painful. Had to resort to paracetamol this morning and had a hot water bottle all day. Dh asked me what I fancied to eat this eve. I said get something tasty, he chose tiramisu, I'm not sure I'm allowed that. Does it have raw egg in it? Sad Feeling very yuck!

fortywinx · 12/10/2014 13:04

Hi all, haven't been on since Friday as the app decided it couldn't connect for some reason.
I was up early this morning with bad cramps and feeling nauseous. Hoping the cramps are (sorry for tmi) constipation/wind rather than anything sinister, had to take paracetamol and hang around in the bathroom for a bit. Managed to eat a banana to quell the nausea a bit. Lazing around at the moment waiting for my lunch. Hope everyone else with crappy symptoms is taking it easy too.
Welcome to all the new people :-) Congrats!

jazzyjenbo · 12/10/2014 14:11

Hope ur all having a nice sunday,
My symptoms have really stepped up a gear over the weekend, about 7.5 weeks now and i'm in a state of constant nausea and heaving randomly when theres not a loo in sight! Luckily i've not actually been sick.
I've just come home from a kids party and when the party food came out i had to make a quick retreat to get a glass of water. Luckily dh came with us.
I've sneaked off to bed as didnt sleep last night due to the nausea and bloat!
Sparkle.. I was at my sis hen do last weekend so no drinking, i found no one really noticed but when ordering a coke they put in in a coca cola glass whereas all the girls ordering mixers were in a 'posher' glass. I got one of the bar maids on side and told her to make my coke or lemonade look like a mixer with a stirrer, lemon and ice. Also just act abit merry, joining in with dancing even if ur shattered!

PurpleCrazyHorse · 12/10/2014 15:07

Might be a little early onto a due thread but couldn't resist. Faint +ive line this morning, DH doesn't even know Blush. Waiting for an early morning POAS tomorrow to get something more obvious. AF due yesterday and I'm never late, so feeling optimistic. Wouldn't be due until the end of June 2015.

Eek... going to be a long evening.

Plus SIL is in hospital giving birth today too, so a doubly long evening waiting for news on their baby.

GuybrushThreepwoodMP · 12/10/2014 15:51

kaybug I don't really have many symptoms either. Just the sore tits! 5 weeks is really early- I think my nausea started last time around 6 or 7 weeks. I'm just enjoying feeling good now and doing lots of running around with dd because I know I might be using CBeebies as an extra parent in a week or two! Maybe not though. All pregnancies are different aren't they?

I'm not sure when to tell work and was thinking about this week. I know it's early but I'm due to have a specific conversation with my boss about increasing my workload (an my salary) next year so I would find it hard to talk about that without mentioning it. Not sure really. I know I'm under no legal obligation to mention it yet. Maybe I'll just see how I feel in the moment. I know it's seriously early. Mine isn't an easy role just to leave and forget about for a few months so I want to find out what happens next.

notsoold · 12/10/2014 17:18

purple congratulations!!! Come and have a cuppa with us waiting for the next few weeks to pass. Until the scan!!!
kaybug no symptoms here. I am (once compensating for ov) 5weeks plus few days..... ang although my 4th I wish I would have some symptoms to make more real....

Hi all. I'm new to Mumsnet.

I was surprised with a BFP this week - no symptoms yet. Really excited and scared at the same time! I'm 32 and this will be DC1.

Smugfearnleyshittingstool · 12/10/2014 18:35

Congrats and welcome to all the newcomers, it's lovely that our little asylum is filling up!
5 weeks and 3 days for me now, no symptoms really, I'm a bit tired and boobs sometimes hurt but it's still intermittent.
Dp and I are away at our little chalet in wales this weekend( without the children as it's they are at their dads) so it's been lovely to talk a bit about little bean, or squirrel as it's known! I'm really looking forward to telling the other kids but we've decided to wait until Christmas as nine months is ages for a 4 year old.
I left my IC sticks at home so I can't go mad checking lines everyday will probable dash straight up to te loo when we get home tomorrow though like a crazy woman

TheDetective · 12/10/2014 19:06

I'm liking the fact that there are other posters with 'blended' families Grin.

I've got DS1 who is 12, he was born when I was 17 and I was with his dad until he was 7. I met my now DP 5 years ago about 8 months after splitting with exDP.

We went on to have DS who is 22 months and now this little pipsqueak.

It does come with its own issues that until you are in these situations it's difficult to comprehend!

We have it reasonably lucky. ExDP is local to us and has DS1 on average one night a week. He isn't interested in having him on his birthday or Christmas so he tends to see him for 2 hours at some point on those days.

I find our biggest challenge is the age gap. There's really only swimming we can do as a family. Any one else in a similar situation?

We haven't told DS1 about the new arrival yet. He was thrilled about his little brother but the reality has not matched up to the dream! So I suspect he will take the new arrival in a slightly different way than last time! DS2 is hard bloody work! Grin

MrsExtraOrdinary · 12/10/2014 19:14

Detective I'm probably going to put myself now, but alongside my 4dc that I had with xh, new dh had 3dc and previous dsc, then we had ds together makes 10! Dss lives with us full time and has done since he was 10 as his mum couldn't cope. He is autistic. We barely see dh's dsc, now but at one point we had 8-9 every other wkd. It's hard work but it works. Just a bit unusual.
