Yes space, the hormones slow digestion hence the bloating, constipation and general sluggish gut!! Also pains and churning and of course heartburn. Lucky us Wink

Spaceboundeminem · 22/09/2014 21:10

Thanks Grin

LinaDee · 22/09/2014 21:12

Congrats toriB - quite a few of us here pg after MMC. Mine was in June.
I'm going to adopt your mantra of celebrating every day - I've found it difficult to try to be positive but I love your attitude! Smile
Welcome!!

CheerfulYank · 23/09/2014 03:09

Well, I'm shocked at having to join you but here I am! :)

I am due with DC#3 around May 25th, if my calculations are right, which they probably aren't because if they were I wouldn't be pregnant. :o

I have a DS who is 7 and a DD who is almost 16 months. I was on the May 2013 board with her...she's getting quite a big present around her second birthday!

Turquoisetamborine · 23/09/2014 03:57

Waves to newbies. Congratulations!

How has it been having a big age gap cheerfulyank? My son will be seven when this baby comes.

Once again, as every night I've fallen asleep at 9 then woken up unable to get back to sleep at 3. Will probably drift off at 4.30. Luckily I don't have to be up til 7.30. I'm having very vivid dreams which are waking me up every night and worrying about burglars too which is bizarre as I don't exactly live in a high risk area!

Had a tiny bit of brown/pink spotting yesterday which was scary but seems to have gone since then. My 7 week scan is a week today. Only symptoms are very clear skin, I'm usually spotty. And extreme tiredness and hunger. Didn't have any sickness last time and it seems the same this time. Sorry to those suffering from sickness. Must be awful.

speedbird17 · 23/09/2014 04:58

Yy to the vivid dreams, lots of those here, and usually about things I'm not even I'm aware I'm bothered by! Night waking, peeing and insomnia all kicking in here too!

aberjen · 23/09/2014 06:24

Weird dream here too! Tonight, I was fielding many many complaints in restaurant?! Fwiw, I work in an office...

The early waking is getting boring now - keep waking between 5 and 5 and can't get back to sleep despite feeling shattered Confused

Waves at Cheerful Hiya! Am also on the May 2013 fb group but haven't 'come out' over there yet! Not quite feeling brave enough. Due 2 days after DD's birthday - eek!

KittyVonCatsington · 23/09/2014 06:39

I too hate night times now. I go to bed fairly early (about 9 like you Turquoise) and been waking up around 4am for a wee and being wide awake after. Last night, DH got up at 2am for a wee, which woke me up needing to go and have been struggling to get back to sleep ever since. Got to go to work in 5 minutes and just can't seem to function! 8+3 for me. Think good sleeps have gone forever Grin

KittyVonCatsington · 23/09/2014 06:43

Oh, and welcome and congratulations Tori kyz and CheerfulYank! Here's to boring and uneventful pregnancies that give us our bundles of joy Smile

Deftones · 23/09/2014 06:54

Really vivid dreams here too! upsetting ones though Sad

Falling asleep at 9 PM also!

Cheerful, how is that age gap for your oldest and youngest (thus far). My DD will be 6, turning 7 when this one arrives, would love to know what it's like Smile

Congratulations to all newcomers.

ellstor · 23/09/2014 07:33

How much weight is everyone gaining?

I have gained 4lb in 2 weeks and I'm so bloated I look pregnant !!

Titsalinabumsquash · 23/09/2014 07:51

My eldest is 10! Shock

I do nothing but sleep, I'm falling asleep on the sofa at 8pm and staying there until morning. Blush

I think we'll need a double because DS3 is a bolter, he'll be 2 1/5 when this one is born.

speedbird17 · 23/09/2014 08:26

I don't even know how I'm so tired! 9pm is usual bed time here and I'm struggling to reach it!

Work is a weird one here as I am legally not allowed to do my job once pregnant, so have already had to tell work and am now going to be twiddling my thumbs for 8 months... Think I'll be begging them to do some work from home.

Dreams have been quite upsetting here too and 4am wee lying awake til gone 5am is routine :(

Mslad · 23/09/2014 09:08

Morning all & welcome newbies Smile I'm in the insomnia gang too- awake since 4, restless legs & achy lower back, I'm exhausted today already, but not complaining if it means everything's going well Smile

Turquoisetamborine · 23/09/2014 09:29

What do you do Speedbird? Sounds interesting!

speedbird17 · 23/09/2014 10:02

Turquoise - I am an air hostess. This time last week I was in Korea. To not be flying now for 18 months is a very strange thought!

bubalou · 23/09/2014 10:08

Hi all.

Just got my BFP this morning so popping over from the September ttc bus.

I haven't even thought about due dates but I think it will be close to beginning of June.

Hopefully I can camp here until I get a more accurate date Smile

ellstor · 23/09/2014 11:42

Congratulations bubaloo! Isn't it just the best feeling!!

bubalou · 23/09/2014 12:01

Thanks ellstor Smile

It is. It feels scary even though I have a DS aged 6. That just feels like a lifetime ago!

Mitchey · 23/09/2014 12:40

Well I had my first chek in at the hospital this morning (I'm 4+3) and they're booking me in for a scan for two weeks time as obviously you can't see jack shit right now, lol.

Filled in my midwife booking in form so assume I'll be seeing them shortly soon. God, it seems not that long ago I was doing all this for the first time round!!

aberjen · 23/09/2014 12:49

Back from first GP appointment. I spent most of it chasing DD away from the supercool trolley of Things! She made a beeline for a box of scalpels Shock GP and I try to tempt her away with toys and stickers but the lady's not for turning. So that was fun!

Mentioned I'd been feeling sick and GP immediately prescribed cholri

aberjen · 23/09/2014 12:52

Argh, posted too soon. GP immediately prescribed chlorizine (sp?) Was a bit surprised, so told her I wasn't being sick, just feeling sick most of day and she said if it's preventing me from eating properly, that was more important. Think I'll see how I go - anyone had these before and can tell me what difference they made and if you had side effects?

aberjen · 23/09/2014 12:53

Cyclizine, not chlorizine baby brain

MrsS010814 · 23/09/2014 13:16

Hi, can I join please. Was on April thread as due 28th but early scan today puts my EDD as 1st May. So I'll prob hover between the two. It's our first baby. Have felt really sick for past few weeks but now starting to settle down. Fingers crossed. Hope everyone else is well

NoRoomForALittleOne · 23/09/2014 13:23

Aberjen I'm on ondansetron and stemetil. It's stopped me bringing absolutely everything up but I still feel sick. I think different women have different experiences with the whole selection of anti-emetics especially in the treatment of nausea as opposed to actual vomiting. You do need to eat and stay well hydrated though so it may be worth a try if the nausea is preventing you from doing that.
