Elisa I am so so sorry Thanks sending you lots of love xxx

Tori I experienced that at about 5 weeks too. Sleeping on my left side gave relief then. Sort of got better at about 7 weeks xx

KittyVonCatsington · 01/10/2014 20:13

Make sure you eat enough-that helps with dizzy spells Grin

Kyz · 01/10/2014 20:15

Hi All :)

elisa so sorry :( take care of yourself Flowers

Aberjen I am exhausted today, think i'm paying for being a stopout!!

congrats on your scan winnie :)

sorry fluffeh can't help you with the decaf tea, the ones i've tried all taste awful!

hi peaky! recognise your name, i'm a nov12er too :)

yep tori lower back pain is one of my main symptoms, I had spd last time and have had a pretty fucked back since having ds, so i have been nervous about this one.

ooh fab haribo hope it goes well :D

I will be telling people when ds's t-shirt that says he's going to be a big brother arrives :) I think what will be will be, and if I had a mc or anything i would be running straight to my mum, I know I would. It'll be immediate family only we'll be telling at first, though I have a big immediate family lol!

aberjen · 01/10/2014 20:29

ginger that sounds amazing! I am currently tucking in to a cupasoup as it was the only thing in the house I thought I could stomach Sad

lp are you me?! Also 8 weeks today with scan on 30th Grin On the telling front, we've told my parents and sister, and DP's parents. I've also told a couple of work friends and my line manager, as my maternity cover from the last time is still with us on a temporary, rolling basis and I thought he might like to get her booked up again! Am thinking of asking him to also tell the rest of the team though, as I feel so so rough. Definitely worse than last time, feeling sick all day from waking until I go to sleep, and being sick more often too. And if, god forbid, something goes wrong, I'd want time off work and am happy to be honest with the team about why. Also, I'm meant to be travelling for work in a couple of weeks time and really really hoping that maybe someone else can go instead of me - I get airsick at the best of times, travelling the way I feel now would be hellish

Right, well, think that's enough whingeing for one evening!

LP20140 · 01/10/2014 20:38

Aberjen how strange! We'll have to chat more! :-) thanks for the advice. Hope you feel better soon xx

bradders85 · 01/10/2014 21:12

Good evening ladies, had my booking in appointment this afternoon, bloods done and urine sample taken - came home with more leaflets and reading! 9+4 today and midwife said due date of 6th May whilst I worked out the 2nd so will wait and see what I get told at my scan which is on the 16th.

Booked in for the flu jab on Monday too, came home from the midwife and had a nap! So tired! x

LP20140 · 01/10/2014 21:56

I know, Bradders.. This is my latest night in weeks! I'm getting my flu jab on Saturday morning.

Night night everyone xx

jazzyjenbo · 01/10/2014 22:08

Bradder, 6th may is a gud date.. Its my sisters and nana's birthday, my nana will be 95 next.

Lp... I hav told my parents and afew close friends but am not shouting it from the rooftops. Not told his family as bad news (god forbid) would send them into depression and also not told my bro or sis. Purposefully nit telling my sis as she is getting married in a matter of weeks.. Its her hen do this weekend and then 12 week scan would fall on wedding week so i dont want my news to take away or overshadow her in anyway... Can u imagin if i announced pregnancy the week of her wedding and having ppl congratulate me on her big day!! Think i'll keep quiet until i hav a bump!

BeanCalledPickle · 01/10/2014 22:17

I've told my two closest mum friends from last time round, which was difficult as one was three weeks ahead and had a mc. I told my mum and my brother and two other friends, basically the people I would tell about a miscarriage.

I haven't told work nor do I want to like ever. I'm a lawyer. Last time I told my manager at six weeks because I was sick. He kept quiet but the big boss wanted to know why I was late etc. So I told her at eight weeks. From then on I didn't exist. No decent work, bored, nothing going on. Was entirely miserable. I don't think my current team will be like that but I'm the only girl in a senior grade and I don't want to be seen as weak and needing different treatment. I am coping and will continue to do so. I'm only in three days and work at home one day as well so I am just dragging myself through!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 01/10/2014 22:30

aberjen whinge away! Your being forced into eating only cuppa soups, you're entitled for heavens sake Wink

Peaky1 · 01/10/2014 23:09

Mmmm now I just want a cuppa soup! I'm constantly eating to tackle the nausea. Not. Good.

Nice one Tits n Kyz!

I've told quite a few people about my pregnancy for the same reason that someone else mentioned - if anything happened I'd have their support. I was absolutely fine last time though and kept schtum for 3 months. This time I can't be arsed ;-)

Turquoisetamborine · 02/10/2014 02:41

Insomnia club member checking in. I was fast asleep by 9 though so I've already had five hours. I can't get back to sleep as the cleaner has taken my glass of water away and I don't want to go downstairs for another one. Too creepy while H is away. I'm terrified of burglars. Ridiculous I know. I'm waking up so thirsty in the night at the moment.

Bean, I don't blame you for keeping quiet. Can you cover your bump though? Mine is showing already at 8 weeks. It's my second and so much more noticeable this time. I think it was 16 weeks I started to show the first time.

Jazzyjenbo, would your sister not be happy for you? How are you going to manage the hen do without telling her?

Fluffeh · 02/10/2014 06:53

Another insomniac checking in. I swear dp needs to sleep on the sofa. Even his breathing is disturbing me haha. I've been wriggling and getting annoyed all night. Along with DD's 2 wake ups I don't feel like I've been to bed.

We've told close family on my side but dp hasn't told his side yet, it's complicated on his side so we'll wait as long as possible to tell them.
Is anyone finding food really difficult? I honestly cannot eat anything that isn't dry. Even chocolate Sad. I'm living on toast, dry cereal and biscuits. Oh and the odd bag (3 a day!!) of salt and vinegar crisps.
I'm 7+3 today so I worked out if my dates aren't too out I'll be meeting this baby in less than 32 weeks. That doesn't seem long at all eek!

Turquoise - i doubt she will notice, theres 35 of us going for a 3 course meal followed by dirty dancing cabaret and dancing... I will prob hav 1 glass of bubbly then stick with diet coke or lemonade... Yes she would b happy but i just dont want to take any limelight away from her. I remember what it was like in the build up to wedding, u just want everythin to be about you and after me having 2 kids quickly in 2010,2012 my brother and girlfriend having a surprise 'i didnt know i was pregnant' baby in 2013 and then my mc just after her engagement i will keep quiet for now.
If she asks i will tell her but i honestly dont think she will even clock with all fun and games going on.

Titsalinabumsquash · 02/10/2014 07:39

An awful night here, I forgot how my sleep turns to crap as soon as I get pregnant!

We had a shockingly bad evening with DS1 which made DS2&3 difficult to get to sleep, I was so wound up and exhausted by the time I dropped off I spend
T the night shouting out and having really bad nightmares, when DP junk ally dropped off he started snoring like a chainsaw.

Roll on tomorrow when the sofa bed arrives, I can see it as my new bed for the duration of the pregnancy.

I have the midwife today so I need to get my house into some sort of order.

is it May yet? I'm knackered! Sad

Sunshinesaz86 · 02/10/2014 07:42

Morning ladies.

I cannot sleep the whole night through without needing to pee, I have a feel on this is going to be the norm from here on out. However I am getting back to sleep before my alarm goes off again. Thankfully.

Bean I think it's terrible you are made to feel like that in work. I have a very sexist director in my company where a lot of woman aren't even worth him saying hello too. However I am not going to feel slightly guilty when I tell my boss. We are entitled to a family after all. I hope it's better this time for u x

Your in a difficult squeeze too aren't you jazzy??.....do you think you'll manage both hen do and wedding day without being found out? And as turquoise said would your sister not be pleased either way, especially if u told her soon?
My mums pressuring me to tell my brother, step brother and sister because I've already told my twin but going to try and hold out another 2 weeks and get to 10 then they only have two weeks to keep schtum! It's so hard though......Roll on 12 weeks! Grin

Sunshinesaz86 · 02/10/2014 07:45

Sorry x post with u turquoise. That's nice if you being so thoughtful there's a lot of families that would love to outshine one another if they get the chance. I'm sure when the times right she'll be over the moon for u x

TinyDancer01 · 02/10/2014 08:47

Quick question, for those of you that have been to the epu. Did you get referred or contact them directly. I've tried calling them this morning but it's just a recorded message asking for referral forms to be faxed to them.

jazzyjenbo · 02/10/2014 09:13

She will be i've no doubt about that... I just want her to enjoy herself and not b thinking about me at all. My 12 week scan will fall the week of her wedding... I might tell her and only her on the day if i hav scan first.. If i do the whole fb announcement ppl will b asking me about it at her wedding, i just dont want that. She has always though herself 'hard done by'... Middle child syndrome and since being a little girl has dreamed of being a 'marrying lady' so i will not b making a family announcement any time soon. If she guesses on sat of course i will tell her.

jazzyjenbo · 02/10/2014 09:14

Tiny, hope u r ok. I self referred and they said to not bother with gp or midwife until after 8 weeks

pintsizeprincess · 02/10/2014 12:46

Tiny, I phoned my local epu yesterday and they got me in for a scan this morning. It said referral by healthcare professional only but i thought if i phone direct they can only say no. Might be worth a try phoning and seeing if they will see you without a referral. some are more strict than others.

i was having some light bleeding on Tuesday and weird cramps so wanted to get checked over. Luckily bean is in the right place and a heartbeat was found. She put me at just under 6 weeks. She found a cyst on my left ovary which could have been causing the painful cramps but the bleeding was unexplained. She said prob implantation although i thought that happened before a bfp. Still early days yet but as the mantra goes " today i am pregnant"! x

TinyDancer01 · 02/10/2014 15:09

Managed to get a scan today and sadly its not good news, i'm 6+5 but the sac is positioned in the lower part of my womb, it's also very small for the dates and no heartbeat could be seen. I have to go back in a week for another scan.

They said the sac could be moving on its way out of my womb so i might have a miscarriage shortly. If not, i'm not really sure what will happen. I've googled and it seems to be rare type of eptopic pregnancy so could potentially be dangerous. So upset as i felt so much better about this pregnancy than i did with my last which resulted in a MMC, three years of trying has resulted in 2 failed pregnancies, feel so dishearten and that its never going to happen for us Sad

Turquoisetamborine · 02/10/2014 15:25

Oh TinyDancer I'm so sorry. Do you go back to find out for sure?
