lina, I'm absolutely delighted for you, it's so nice to see a positive outcome.

Thank crunchy it's Friday, plus it's the first weekend I've had off in ages. We're going for posh, Michelin star dinner sat but not sure how much I'll be able to eat. I've had a look at the menu, lots of seafood & the meat is likely to be served rare. Not sure how to tackle this, ideas? Think the seafood thing is re food poisoning so hopefully that shouldn't be an issue.

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/09/2014 11:27

Enjoy the flicks aberjen, what you going to see?

kittiker · 26/09/2014 11:56

Gingerbreadlady1 , I would give them a ring and explain the circumstances. You won't be the first and, I've always found these types of places fall over themselves to accomodate.

You should definitely get to enjoy a lovely meal and not have to miss out!

MsMittens · 26/09/2014 11:58

Lina such great news - hurrah!

aberjen I miss the cinema. I hope you are going to see something totally un-child friendly Wink

Ginger DH and I went to a few Michelin starred places when I was PG last time and we just called in advance and let them know and reminded them when we sat down at the table. One even brought me over a lovely pillow to make sure I was comfy during me meal. They will adjust the dishes, if they can, to suit your dietary requirements. Enjoy!

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/09/2014 12:10

Thanks ladies, will go & enjoy (even without Wine sob!) we booked online & dp added that I was up-duffed in comments. Will just remind them when I'm there. Can't wait, we were going to stay over but I'll now drive us home (which will save us a fortune).

What's everyone else up to?

TinyDancer01 · 26/09/2014 13:26

Fab news Lina!

With you Ginger on being ready for the weekend!!

Going to have to use a PC to view the pics being posted, wish the app showed them!

Does anyone else feel like time is going in slow motion since you got your BFP??

I just booked a private scan for 2 weeks time when I will be 8 weeks. Cant wait till 12 weeks.
After a mmc last year I know there is no guarantee all will be well after the private scan but I just need some reassurance. I don't feel pregnant at all. Only symptom is feeling tired and a sore back!!

Haily111 · 26/09/2014 14:45

Hello all, just a quick update from me (haven't had a chance to read through everyones posts yet)

Had spotting tue & wed. Spoke to my docs yesterday and had a scan at epu this morning, glad to say saw hb and measuring 9 weeks plus 1 day, so think i might now be April not May ??

Sending everyone who has had losses my love and thoughts xxx

BB01 · 26/09/2014 15:23

Great news Lina!!

BB01 · 26/09/2014 15:29

Any pharmacists or GPs out there?! I am on some medication which the GP said is fine to take, didn't mention any risk factor, but I thought I'd read not to use in pregnancy. Asked the pharmacist and she said it may be dangerous but v small risk. Am a bit annoyed the doctor just said it was fine. The pharmacist said she might think the benefits outweigh the risk but surely that's up to me to decide too?! It can apparently cause low birthweight and cleft palate so fairly serious. Already been using it a while and I used a similar thing with the same problem ingredients last time (as gp said it was fine and didn't check) and my baby actually was low birthweight. Not saying it was caused by that but it is possible. But the GPs seem totally unwilling to admit there's any risk! Any advice anyone??

aberjen · 26/09/2014 15:32

Thanks Ginger and MsMittens. Saw Guardians of the Galaxy - very highbrow Grin

Ginger hope you have a fab time tomorrow - Michelin-starred, yum!

Tiny I'm viewing mumsnet mobile website on iPhone and can see the photos so poss try that if digging computer out is more hassle?

Gingerbreadlady1 · 26/09/2014 16:00

haily, great news, must be so reassuring to see hb!

aberjen, thanks , i can't wait. And I loved that film, great escapism & most entertaining!

tiny, totally agree, it's going sooo slowly. I'm 6+1 & will def be getting an early scan then will tell both sets of parents.

plinkyplonks · 26/09/2014 16:01

Congratulations Haily111 :D

BeanCalledPickle · 26/09/2014 16:04

BB what is it? I'm taking promethazine which the doctor prescribed but I know if I tried to buy it the pharmacist wouldn't sell me it. Bottom line is that everything should be avoided if possible. Then you have to weigh up risks versus benefits. There is very little out there which is actively toxic. For me it's better to sleep and not feel sick so I can function so I take promethazine. I can't cope on no sleep and being sick so the risks are outweighed by benefits

BB01 · 26/09/2014 16:07

Ooh missed that Haily, that's great!

BB01 · 26/09/2014 16:08

Thanks Bean. It's stuff for piles. Even with using it, they're still very painful and uncomfortable so without using it not sure how I'd cope!

KittyVonCatsington · 26/09/2014 16:53

Yay for Lina!

So pleased for your scan Hailly

Sorry BB can't help but hope your symptoms get better.

Non-alcoholic Wine for everyone this evening-cheers!

Haily111 · 26/09/2014 17:14

Thanks all.

Bb i was prescribed anti sickness meds by the doc last week. When i went to pick them up from pharmacist she advised i shouldn't be taking them with my anti d's as they have considerable interaction with each other. So i didn't take them. X

fififolle · 26/09/2014 17:36

Great news Lina and Hailly Smile

CheerfulYank · 26/09/2014 17:57

I loved Guardians of the Galaxy aberjen! :) I'm trying to convince DH to see Maze Runner with me this weekend.

jazzyjenbo · 26/09/2014 18:19

Great news haily.

I've been thinking about the 'april' 'may' 'june' threads and what we are to do it the early ones get moved to april and the late ones get moved to june. I'm around 26-28th so very well mite get sent to the june bench.
Feel like i know u girls now so would b inclined to stay... Haily what date did they give you?

In other news ne1 else feeling extremely snappy almost to the point of a rage? I had a row with sum1 on school run today and just generally feeling hot, tired and ready for a fight!! Lol... I'm in the bath as we speak to try and de stress a little.

Deftones · 26/09/2014 19:07

Mood wise I've been pretty even keeled, although have had a few teary moments when I've seen something cute or thought about DD as a baby.

Seems my evenings are made up of nausea. I'm generally fine during the day, DH even went as far to say I'm chirpy in the morning Shock but I'm getting waves of nausea now, and feel generally queasy. I had all day every day nausea with DD and puked a fair bit too...I'd happily cope with evening sickness as I'm in the warmth of my own home and toilet!

Great news on scans thus far, ladies. I might got for a sneaky early private scan in a few weeks, maybe!

aberjen · 26/09/2014 19:14

GotG was fab, really enjoyed it, cinema was literally empty, chair-danced to the Jackson 5 at the end Grin

cheerful there was a trailer for maze runner, it did look good! But given how long it's taken us to get to cinema this time around, think I'll be waiting for that one to hit Sky Wink

jazzy staaaaaay!! On the thread I was on last time around there were a few early babies inc a couple of v preemies, and a couple of late ones too, but by that point everyone 'knows' everyone else so well that I think we all want the whole group to stay together, regardless of due dates and actual birth dates Smile

NoRoomForALittleOne · 26/09/2014 19:21

I've had a bit of an eventful day. Woke up with lots of cramping - put it down to horrendous constipation from my anti-sickness meds. But started to get quite a lot of brown discharge at 11:30. Was seen by the GP and sent to the obs/gynae short stay ward as EPU closed in the afternoon. The doctor managed to get me a scan by saying that I was ?ectopic otherwise I would have waited until tomorrow or Monday. The scan showed a 9 week baby (shaking it's head!) with a lovely heartbeat but also a subchorionic haemorrhage. So now I have an increased risk of mc but they are hoping it will all be fine because there is some evidence that it is healing/resolving plus it is away from the sac that the baby is in.

I should feel relieved. I don't. I just feel worried Sad I've seen the baby now and the thought of having a mc after seeing the baby is heartbreaking. This may be DC5 and unplanned but it is very much wanted and, well, pregnancy sucks!

BB01 · 26/09/2014 19:26

Oh poor you, No Room. How worrying for you. I do hope it turns out well for you x

BB01 · 26/09/2014 19:28

Hmm interesting Haily, surprised that GPs prescribe stuff in this way without suggesting any risk or double checking for interactions
