So I started out on the thread months ago but haven't posted anything since. Have been reading everyone's though.

Last night a group of my friends had organised a surprise baby shower and 30th birthday party for me god love em! Was such a lovely thing for them to do, made me feel very loved.

Adding myself to the list below. This is dc2 for us, I already have ds1 who has just turned 4. Ds1 arrived at 33 weeks hence have been wary about posting but I'm feeling really happy now as 35+3 with this one.

Wow there are a lot of people on this thread!

Me i swear by Asda little angels nappies, really like having both an inside & outside leg cuff. We do use pampers for night time now as DS does mega wees & Asda ones weren't cutting it but they are great for the day time

Am trying to rent my bed nest while the August offer is still on and I can't get as far as the checkout, it's driving me nuts

Can't remember who asked but my actual due date at 40 weeks is 9th October but I found out recently that I need a c-section at 38 weeks ie 26th September. Hence I'm on the October thread!

Cabster have you ticked for insurance cover? I did mine on an iPad yesterday & no hitches. Perhaps they have run out availability?

Is anyone else weirdly on 'plug' watch? Really random but last few days I've been a bit obsessed with thinking I'm losing my mucus plug! But no, I've not yet. And would freak if I did as 34 weeks is too early for me.

I can't believe there's broken waters already. It's given me the shove I need to be more organised given I still don't even have a hospital bag, or even a birth plan.

I think it was puss who asked last week about gas and air, we don't have it here either. There's one hospital in Mexico City that has JUST brought it in in July as an 'experimental' thing. Apparently it's an EU thing! It was the only part of the birth my DP was looking forward to. Judging by the sounds of the labour ward last week, they have zero pain relief here! (not really).

Last room painted! C's waters breaking spurred DH to do the last of the cutting in I couldn't reach whilst I was told to take it easy (not that I've done 90% of the painting of the 4 rooms we've finished this pregnancy, cough cough ). Now we have two IKEA flat packs to build for the kids room (just hemnes drawers for clothes), curtains to hang, new bedding on our bed (I need something for my waters to christen!) and need some over table lights fitted by a spark in the dining room. I wasn't convinced we'd get all this done pre baby! If I could tolerate the sugar I'd be having a !

Just being nosey but has anyone been told their baby is engaged yet? At my last midwife app mine was free still which I think is usually if it's not your first but I really feel like baby has dropped. It might just be in a different position but feel very different lots more pressure in my fanjo and struggling to be on my feet for longer than five minutes :)

Oh and I'm not on fb can anyone tell me who's in labour or is it a secret? :)

CJ all sorted now! And yes I'm getting the insurance, with 2 cats and a toddler who thinks she's a bull in a china shop it would be mad not to.

MiL gave me her broken gold chains and earrings to trade in, we have enough for the bed nest and a new Moses basket mattress, very pleased

Suppose like the rest of you I'd better consider packing a bag soon! Though Boris feels more than comfortable in there...

The lady who is in labour Is called troubleandfyfe on here but I don't think she's posted here much since the fb group was set up...she posted 10 mins ago to say contractions are 2 mins apart! Baby is on its way tonight!
