Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Hey mrsS try not to worry- I had the same thing from 3-5 weeks. I was thinking if I wasn't pregnant what the hell was going on as it was much worse period pains than I'd usually get. Phoned GP in a bit of a panic after I did the test thinking it was sure to mean it had all gone wrong but she said it's totally normal but to come in if there was any bleeding. It eased off a lot around 5 weeks. Hope it does for you too!

Thinking of you this morning dances Flowers

lila35 · 26/08/2014 07:33

Good luck today dances.

MrsS I had lots of discomfort in the first few weeks, mainly due to wind and not being able to go to the loo properly, I still get it on and off. Its still worrying tho.

I haven't posted much but am still reading, there's so many of us I can keep up Wink

Thinking of you at your scan today dances Flowers

Phryn · 26/08/2014 08:39

Thinking of you today dances - really hoping you get a clear and positive result at your scan.

Lindalove · 26/08/2014 08:51

Yes good luck to ladies with scans this week.

Phryn · 26/08/2014 09:34

I've had a chat with the EPU about my ongoing spotting/brown CM. They basically said I'm doing everything I can do and to call again if I'm worried, or if red blood starts and I'm changing a pad every half an hour. They agreed that some women do spot and it's fine but when I asked whether it was good that I wasn't cramping they said that every women is different and in doing so neatly side stepped giving me any reassurance! (Which while I understand I wish they could have given more of an indication what they thought the outcome would be).

They've advised me to keep the scan on Friday rather than bringing it forward which I think is sensible as it's only 3 days away now and I'd much rather go when my husband is able to come with me.

So now I wait... and unlike the weekend where I had lots of distraction I have a day at home today (with lots I could be getting on with) followed by 2 days at work (one busy, one quiet). I know I have to just live through it but it's hard. Sad Think I'm going to ring my mum then get going with an easy win task this morning.

Lavendercandles · 26/08/2014 09:54

Ladies I am in desperate need of some reassurance! Went for an early scan today as with DS1 I could see a heart beat at 5+5. Today I am 5+ 6 and couldn't see a heart beat. The doc said he thought everything looked fine as the sac is there and he thinks it's just still too early and anything in it is still too small. My rational brain agrees but my irrational hormonal pregnancy brain is freaking out. Please tell me everything is going to be ok! Booked to go back in two wks when I will be nearly 8 wks...

Lindalove · 26/08/2014 09:56

Phyrn yes do try and busy yourself as much as possible, its very hard all the waiting. Distraction is a very good plan.

Lindalove · 26/08/2014 09:58

Lavender I think its pretty rare to be able to see hb at 5 weeks, especially as each baby is different/ might be in a different place inside. Most of the time they say wait til 7 weeks, so just hang on in there, am sure you'll see so much more at 8 weeks. I had an 8 week scan a few days ago and was amazed how much you could see.

bohoec · 26/08/2014 10:05

Lots of scans happening now, hope they all go well. Phryn - I hope the next three days fly by.

Just wanted to say... The tiredness! Oh the tiredness. I'd forgotten how it just envelops your whole body. My approach this time is the same as last, to just battle through. That way the insomnia is kicked into touch as well Wink. But my god I'm tired. Anyone else?!

Lavendercandles · 26/08/2014 10:05

Thanks Lindalove I hate the waiting game but will try and stay positive as at the moment there is no reason not to

dancestomyowntune · 26/08/2014 10:23

thank you all for your good wishes. scan went well, heartbeat seen nice and strong Grin by their measurements i am 7+1 weeks which moves my due date to april 13th. next scan in two weeks so they can monitor a cyst and the implantation bleed that i had last week. feeling much better for having seen the hb tho! Try not to stress Lavendercandles, could be later ovulation or perhaps as someone else said just a different position of baby.

Sounds as though they just don't want to worry you Phryn, and at least they've given you a scenario when they feel it's bad enough to contact them again.

Yay for your hb dancestomyowntune, really pleased for you Thanks

I was LadyNovember, 3 to 4 times a night when I'm never up in the night but it's eased now, I'm 8w tomorrow :)

MrsS010814 · 26/08/2014 12:07

Well I've had a bit of a dramatic time here. Ended up in A&E with a suspected ectopic pregnancy. I had a crazy pain in my shoulder which is one of the symptoms. Anyway, they seem to think it is OK now - I have a scan booked at 2.30pm today to check that everything is OK so fingers crossed....

Great news that your's went well dances
