I had a vivid labour dream last night. It was horrific!! Omg trying to remember that it went fine last time so fingers crossed it'll be fine this time too. It's too early to be having these scary thoughts surely!!

cinnamongreyhound · 23/08/2014 11:43

Sure I've missed loads! Took us 6.5hrs to get to or holiday yesterday but it's lovely here. Thursday was my worst nausea day for ages and today I'm ok, not normal but manageable and managed to run this morning so I'm happy! Dh banned me from my phone last night so I couldn't catch up but after going to parkrun and then tesco we're vegging in the cottage so I'm allowed again Wink

With my last two pregnancies I filled them in with the midwife lozzg82.

Sorry to hear that StopEatingThatMud, try not to worry. If you had it with dd you know that spotting doesn't mean a disastrous end. Take care x

minstrelle, tuc or ritz crackers are good and don't look as weird to be eating on their own. Plus I find the saltiness helps.

Sorry to hear you're spotting to Phryn, I have quite a lot of cm so it could be that you're feeling with a little bit of old blood mixed in.

I'm sure you'll be fine with that half glass LindaLove, glass holding sounds good. I think someone said something about keeping it full enough to stop people asking to top you up but empty enough so it looks like you're drinking!

Try not to feel guilty Cisforcat, do your best with dd and remember she will also benefit from some time learning to entertain herself, be kind to yourself!

Everything is crossed for mud and phyrn, I hope everything is fine for you both.

Im at a 40th tonight, me and birthday girl love a good 'ol session and im sure she'll be suspicious if I'm the designated driver. Might have to pretend to be having g&t's all night and get OH to drive. Birthday girl will probably be having such a fab time she wont notice what I am/arent drinking!

Told my Mum last night, she's really chuffed! ?

Phryn · 23/08/2014 16:27

Thanks ladies. Your support means a lot! I read some interesting stats last night from the American Pregnancy Association. According to studies 20-30% of women experience spotting, but of those women who experience spotting 50% go on to safely carry a baby to term. I also read some interesting websites like this one www.whattoexpect.com/wom/pregnancy/what-brown-vaginal-discharge-during-pregnancy-means.aspx and some old mumsnet threads where lots of women spoke about having had ongoing spotting and even bleeds with clots that still ended in a pregnency that safely lasted to term.

Info is defo helpful but a fully accurate pregnancy test that would have the power to know the future and say "pregnant with a sticky bean that will become a baby that you'll get to meet IRL" would be so good right now! Wink

Just got in from work and waiting for MIL to drop DD off as and when she deems necessary (!) so I can ring out of hours and see if they'll see me. Now getting fresh bleeding :(

DP at work, not due home til 11pm and the only manager there til 8pm so can't leave til then. Really don't want to tell MIL or my parents as I can't cope with the drama they will turn this into.

Thankfully my lovely friend who had similar happen has offered to come with me and I can leave DD with her fiance and son who is a similar age.

Keep fingers toes etc crossed for me ladies :(

Phryn · 23/08/2014 16:54

Keeping it all crossed and praying for you mud. Really glad you've got a friend who can help you out especially if your DP is stuck at work. This process is a bugger isn't it. Really hoping you get some helpful advice and a good outcome. From my reading last night even fresh blood might not mean bad things x

StopEatingThatMud · 23/08/2014 17:09

I really hope not phryn thank yoy. I'm sure I had fresh bleeding with DD so I'm clinging onto that at the moment.

I hope you're holding up ok too :)
Hope

I've actually felt better today than I've felt for ages which is nice. 8+3 today so got my booking app on wed. Hopefully will seem more real then as at the mo I feel like a massive blown up ballon that constantly feels sick! Lol.

Hope everyone's having a nice weekend and thank you for the kind comment cinnamon. :)

So out of hours were as useless as I expected from my previous dealings (they totally missed dd's meningitis). Couldn't understand how I was pregnant when my LMP was only July 16th and I think genuinely doubted how I'd managed to get a positive test already. He told me I was 1-2 weeks not 5. Err yes in theory but everyone else I've ever spoken to has dated from LMP and I've had several positive tests including yesterday, wwhy would I make it up?!

Ho hum, he did a dip test on the world's smallest urine sample and couldn't get a positive results. I then had to wait outside whilst he phoned gynae to bring me back in to pronounce an early mc and to test again in 5 days or so.

That was it.

I'm all a bit bemused but I think that's me off this train ladies sadly. Massive well wishes to each and every one of you. I shall lurk til I retest and get a more conclusive answer if you don't mind?

StopEatingThatMud · 23/08/2014 19:47

Train, bus, general public transport type thing Grin

BonjourMinou · 23/08/2014 20:04

I'm so sorry to hear your news, mud, I've been thinking of you today. Let us know if you do get a more conclusive answer. Flowers

Gibbon85 · 23/08/2014 20:07

Ah so sorry to hear that mud. Thinking of you and hope you know for definite soon.

Cookiepants87 · 23/08/2014 20:20

Mud I'm so sorry! Sounds like he was really insensitive!! Sad XxxxX big hugs to you XxxxX

Cassieyellow · 23/08/2014 20:31

Argh how frustrating! Big virtual hugs. Do stay with us for now at least.

cinnamongreyhound · 23/08/2014 20:36

That sounds like a horrible experience StopEatingThatMud, definitely stay until you test again! He may be wrong too you know, doesn't sound like the most thorough examination or even that he had a clue! Sending hugs and Thanks and hoping that you can have a good old cry on dh when he gets home.

FizzyBubbly · 23/08/2014 22:02

Oh Mud I do hope he was wrong, agree with Cinnamon that it doesn't sound like he knows what he's talking about. Will keep fingers crossed for you

CareBearWithFangs · 23/08/2014 23:24

Mud it sounds like he was completely clueless as well as a bit of a dick. Still got my fingers crossed for you.

So I've started with throwing up now, joy. But on the plus side my boobs are huge!
