Hello

Having had 5 mcs and 1 DD I am not feeling very hopeful (juest realistic) even though I am doing different things than before...

4w today and on cyclogest pessaries since CD21...

Maybe we could have a separate thread to the biiiig one so we don't scare the others with our (my) negativity...

Welcome

TinyTear, 40, 1 DD, 5mcs, due in April but don't want to know the exact day...

LIG1979 · 18/09/2014 16:32

Congratulations tiny.

Also, well done smiling on gaining a week. Always good to get an extra couple of days under your belt.

I have been feeling like a normal person today!! Hoping this is the start of getting over my nausea.

Shetland · 18/09/2014 17:23

Yay tinytear - great news!

And congrats on entering the 2nd trimester smiling , even though you didn't know it! Gaining a week is great :)

TinyTear · 18/09/2014 18:32

Great news on your scan tiny, I hope it gives you some reassurance, although it seems we don't feel that reassured for that long so try and enjoy it while you can.

Good news for you to smiling, what a relief!

Still feeling rubbish, I really thought I was feeling better yesterday although it was a bit scary, and I was feeling uneasy about it, and today nothing is heping, I was kinda hoping for a magic spell when I hit 12 weeks but its looking like its here to stay for a while yet...If the scan goes well tomorrow I have got a few maternity bits lined up in my hennes shopping bag online. I am rapidly running out of options for clothing and don't think I could turn up to see clients in my jimjams!! The anxiety is really ramping up, that might explain my 3 hour insomnia session last night......

Shetland · 18/09/2014 19:46

What time is your scan lila?

I keep waking in the night needing the loo and then I cannot get back so sleep for aaages - last night I was awake from 2-5. It's been about a week and I'm hoping I get over it soon. Sickness is so so but I weighted myself yesterday and I haven't put on anything despite eating nothing but beige stodge for the last month - result!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 18/09/2014 20:09

shetland im the same with waking in the night needing the loo, last night was a record, 6 times (11.30pm, 1.10am, 2.25am, 3.50am, 4.40am, 5.30am and then I had to get up at 6 for work) its exhausting.

Stuntman · 18/09/2014 20:24

I'm so tired stressed out I had a complete meltdown while making dinner tonight. DS1 just wouldn't stop talking no matter how much I asked him to so I ended up telling him to piss off. I would have been all right if I could have got some sleep but I went to bed for a nap earlier and kept being woken up so it was more torture than a rest. I feel really on edge today and exhausted, like the worst PMT ever. I hope I get my scan date through the post soon because at least then I'll have an end in sight for all this waiting and wondering whether I'm actually pregnant.

LittleBairn · 18/09/2014 20:30

Hi room for another? I'm due April currently 9 weeks.
I've had two late MC my DS at 16 weeks and DD at 19 weeks no cause has been found but I have a very senior consultant who is keeping a close eye on me.
I swing from being completely calm and accepting that this pregnancy is seriously high risk and anxiety ridden.

TinyTear · 18/09/2014 20:46

Welcome! We are a friendly bunch. So sorry for your late losses. Did you get given any reasons?

LittleBairn · 18/09/2014 21:03

TinyTear no explanation So far. Both had PMs done they were completely healthy and I've had my cervix tested which seems to be strong although I believe it changes when pregnant. They did a lot of blood tests last week and are looking into specific blood disorders, I had been at a different hospital previously so my current consultant was suprised I hadn't already been tested.

I've already had 2 scans, one on Wednesday due to bleeding, and will have a 12 week scan after that I will be scanned every two weeks I'm a bit worried by the amount of them.

Well meaning people keep telling me it will fine this time or recounting miracle baby stories to me which I'm finding hard to be gracious about it.

lila35 · 18/09/2014 21:37

Welcome littlebairn! Sorry to hear of your losses. Sounds like they are keeping a very close eye on you.

Shetland we were awake at the same time last night, my scan is at 11:35. X

Shetland · 18/09/2014 21:52

Welcome littlebairn Sorry for your losses xx

Ooh, just about a morning scan then lila - that's good! Not too long a wait. Hope you manage to get some sleep tonight.

LondonSuperTrooper · 19/09/2014 00:42

Welcome littlebairn. I'm sorry that you've had a tough time but you are in the right place here :)

Lola, good luck with your scan tomorrow.

Tiny, thanks for the info. I'll bear the visit duration in mind. I'm hoping to call the FMC next week.

As for me, I've finally found out why I have no symptoms! According to Mr S the combination of steroids & progesterone pessaries are covering up my pregnancy symptoms! I really hope that he's right and it's not because I've had a missed miscarriage...... I guess all will be revealed at my scan on Monday. I'm already petrified and I have the weekend to get through. I've never wished for Monday to come around so quickly! I think that the steroids are also causing my insomnia :( I have to be up at 5am & know that I'm going to shattered tomorrow.

LondonSuperTrooper · 19/09/2014 02:34

And I'm still awake :( Has anyone got any ideas on how to nod off? My performance at work has been affected.... It's a new job and I'm under probationary period till January! Help pls!

Shetland · 19/09/2014 06:54

Sorry london only just seen your last post - hope you managed to get some sleep?
I have simply been going to bed earlier to try and counteract the fact that I'm often awake far too early.

Good luck today lila :)

TinyTear · 19/09/2014 06:59

Tell them about the pregnancy so you are protected?

Littlebairn, glad you are getting good care. Wishing a great pregnancy to all in our little group

Glad to hear your good scan news tiny Smile

Welcome little and so sorry to hear about your losses. Glad to hear your getting good care.

London that sounds rough, have you tried the usual having a bath, herbal teas etc? To be honest if it's affecting you at work I'd go see your gp see if there's anything they can give you.

I've bought some b6 vitamins so fingers crossed my morning sickness might start to be more manageable.

LittleBairn · 19/09/2014 09:16

Thank you all for the warm welcome I was so greatful to find this group, both previous pregnancies I joined the normal antinnatal threads but felt too nervous this time around.

London I too have been worried about no symptoms so I was really suprised when I had a scan and baby was ok.
I've never slept well in pregnancy so not much help, I do try o leave iPads etc downstairs that helps. I'm not sure if you can take Kalms in pregnancy but I've found them really good in the past.

lila35 · 19/09/2014 09:46

Aghhhhh someone stop me googling mmc statistics!!! Not long to wait now....

LittleBairn · 19/09/2014 10:12

Sit on your hands! Only a little while to go now.

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 19/09/2014 10:42
