Hello

Having had 5 mcs and 1 DD I am not feeling very hopeful (juest realistic) even though I am doing different things than before...

4w today and on cyclogest pessaries since CD21...

Maybe we could have a separate thread to the biiiig one so we don't scare the others with our (my) negativity...

Welcome

TinyTear, 40, 1 DD, 5mcs, due in April but don't want to know the exact day...

Booking appointment was underwhelming really! And I should know what to expect by now as it's the fifth time I've done it - I never learn! I'm just glad to have it out of the way tbh. Won't see a midwife again til 16 weeks.

Glad you're feeling better lila You're about the right time for sickness to start tailing off. What time is your scan tomorrow?

Shetland · 17/09/2014 15:16

Just realised it's Wednesday today - so what time is your scan on Friday lila ? not tomorrow

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 17/09/2014 15:52

Lovely news babiecakes Grin

lig I wont get any extra scans on the nhs but will probably pay for a private one at 16weeks unless by some miracle I become ultra calm which is unlikely to happen, although after yesterday I do feel a bit calmer.

TinyTear · 17/09/2014 16:09

I'm in Sweeeeeden. Just had my meetings and now at the airport where my flight is delayed 1:30h ahhrgh

CareBearWithFangs · 17/09/2014 16:36

Lovely news babycakes.

Hope your ok stuck in the airport tiny!

Still over 2 weeks until my next scan and I'm so tempted to book another private one. DP doesn't want to though as he thinks it'll only ease my mind for a day or so what's the point.

Fingers crossed I'll start to feel better in a few weeks. Can't take much more of this. What's b6? A vitamin? What's the theory behind it? Willing to give anything a go at this point.

TinyTear · 17/09/2014 16:53

Just had a massive dinner. Was starving.

Should be departing now but it's still another hour and twenty...

Scan tomorrow... Soooooo scared!

Sorry I managed to lose track of the thread and I've missed loads then baby brain means I've read it all and can't remember a thing. Hugs, soothing cups of tea and anti-emetics to all, whichever one you need the most.

I had my GP appointment on Monday so I'm postman stalking to get my 12-week scan appointment. The waiting is so cruel but I can't afford a private scan so wait I must. I'm almost tempted to go to A&E and tell them I've been kicked in the stomach, just to get a scan. Actually DS3 was kicking me in the stomach yesterday but the baby is well cushioned by a protective layer of flab at the moment. Oh well, just have to wait another five weeks or so and then I'll finally know whether it's all real or not.

Shetland · 17/09/2014 19:35

I'm jealous tinytear - I'd love to go to Sweden. Hope you're back ok.

LIG1979 · 17/09/2014 21:01

Carebear - the b6 is just the vitamin. It takes a few days to work but I just take 10mg about 5 times a day. (You can have up to about 100 - 200mg a day safely.) It worked quite well when pg with dd but I kept thinking it was doing nothing and then stopping and then feeling worse a day or two later. Bananas have lots of b6 too if you want something natural. It is often recommended by the gp before drugs.

Tiny - hope you get home ok. Sweden is lovely isn't it? Shetland I would recommend it but it is fairly pricey so a work trip is always nice! I work for a swedish company so have been a few times. The food there is yummy! Good luck tomorrow Tiny.

Oneday - when I had a scan around 10 weeks with dd - she was like a gummy bear.

Stuntman - ouch to the tummy kicks. I get them alot from dd and I have to try and not get angry as she doesn't understand or mean to do it. I also try and think deep down it cannot harm the baby as otherwise there would always be a big age gap between kids. Sorry you cannot have a scan but as the nhs know it mostly likely won't change the outcome so from their point of view a waste of money. Have you asked for a reassurance scan? I was given one with dd as I was in a state when facing my 3rd pregnancy in a year.

Really enjoying being away even though I am not 100%. Dh is being great whilst away so I can rest and he charges around with dd.

lila35 · 18/09/2014 03:28

Good luck for your scan tomorrow tiny! Sweden really is a fabulous place!

My scan is at 1135 on Friday, it can't come soon enough now. True to form I felt pretty rubbish for most of the afternoon and evening, I find it hard to eat dinner as it just doesn't go down to well, even if I think its what I want to eat. And have already been awake an hour. Think I'm going to get up have a cuppa and some toast and hope to be asleep in another hour! I'm not working this week so I'm not stressing about having to get up.

TinyTear · 18/09/2014 06:44

I didn't get to see much this time. Just late flight, hotel, meeting near Gothenburg and back home... But the flight was delayed bah so I missed seeing my daughter.

Scan not till the afternoon. Ahrgh

TinyTear · 18/09/2014 13:57

In the waiting room. Appointment is actually at 2h30 and I got here too soon. Scared scared scared... And DH couldn't come with me. Only scan he will manage will be the NHS 12... Even the one here in 2 weeks he can't make it as he has to collect our daughter from nursery

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 18/09/2014 14:55

Hope its going ok tiny

ladies ive just read my scan report, I was in such a daze that the baby was ok I forgot about the report Blush

anyway my due date has changed from the 29th to the 23rd of march so I am in fact 13.4 weeks instead of 12.4 weeks and into the second trimester. I cant believe I missed that!

I know im now officially not an april 2015 anymore but pretty please can I stay BrewCakeFlowers

TinyTear · 18/09/2014 15:06

Of course you can stay Grin

Anyway my jelly baby measures 10+4 and has a lovely heartbeat that sounded like a train.
If I believed these things I'd say it is a boy as my dd sounded like a horse...

What a relief!!
Need now to wait for the bloods...

LondonSuperTrooper · 18/09/2014 15:35

Tiny, glad that all is well with your jelly baby :) This is another milestone crossed for you.

How long did the visit take? I'm trying to figure out the timings & logistics of getting to the clinic, going to work and combining the school pick up. If I make it to 10 weeks (I haven't for the last 3 pregnancies), then I'll be having both scans by myself.

My DS's heartbeat sounded like a galloping horse :)

LondonSuperTrooper · 18/09/2014 15:35

And best of luck with your bloods. I'm assuming that you are getting the results when you have your nuchal scan?

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 18/09/2014 15:37

Oh tiny lovely news and I love , Jelly baby Grin

ours is Beany baby

LondonSuperTrooper · 18/09/2014 15:40

Smiling- many congratulations for making it to the second trimester! How wonderful to be told that you are actually further along than you thought :)
