Hello

Having had 5 mcs and 1 DD I am not feeling very hopeful (juest realistic) even though I am doing different things than before...

4w today and on cyclogest pessaries since CD21...

Maybe we could have a separate thread to the biiiig one so we don't scare the others with our (my) negativity...

Welcome

TinyTear, 40, 1 DD, 5mcs, due in April but don't want to know the exact day...

I hope it goes well today smiling.

LondonSuperTrooper · 16/09/2014 11:57

Best of luck smiling.

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 16/09/2014 13:13

Good luck smiling

Even though my 8 week scan was only on Sunday, paranoia is back in full force and so this morning I've booked another private scan for next weekend (10 weeks) DH thinks I'm mad but is going with it. How anyone waits until 12 weeks is beyond me!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 16/09/2014 13:39

oneday my private scan at 10 weeks was the best money I ever spent, I would have gone crazy waiting till 12.

I have a baby with a strong heartbeat, 2 arms, 2 legs, 2 eyes and all other important parts Grin

TinyTear · 16/09/2014 13:50

hooray Smiling!!

this thread's first 12w scan! what did they give you as a due date?

Congratulations Smiling :) You must be feeling so relieved!

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 16/09/2014 14:20

Yay smiling that's fantastic news! I think you are indeed the first 12 weeker! Woo hoo! How lovely to see something that resembles a little person rather than just a blob.

Now I've booked it, I'm so glad I've only got another 10 days to wait. At 75 it's not going to break the bank and so worth it IMO.

Did you notice a big difference in what you saw from 10 to 12 weeks?

Congrats again!

LondonSuperTrooper · 16/09/2014 14:27

Right, I think that I can safely say that I've got MS. I'm currently hiding in a toilet cubicle at work because I feel so rough..... It's good though as it's reassuring me that the beanie is still hanging in there :)

Is anyone taking steroids & progesterone? I've been having horrible side affects and I don't know whether it's from the medications or from my pregnancy.

LondonSuperTrooper · 16/09/2014 14:28

Smiling, congratulations on setting this thread's first milestone :)

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 16/09/2014 14:38

oneday at 10 week it sort of looked like a snowman with hands, today it looks like an actual baby Grin

tiny my due date Is the 29th of march.

TinyTear · 16/09/2014 14:54

Grin ok, you can stay in the April group... just Grin

Anyway... I'm on my way to my business trip now. did my clexane in the toilets at work and will do tomorrow's dose when i get home to avoid flying with it... Not looking forward to it more because of the annoying client, but has to be done...

Won't be posting much until Thursday then... Good luck to all the scans tomorrow

Great news smiling Hopefully your good scan will set a precedent for the rest of us.

I've booked a private 10 week scan too - there was no way I could wait til 12 weeks.

CareBearWithFangs · 16/09/2014 18:44

Lovely news smiling Smile

How's everyone feeling today? I'm still having down and worried days but not quite as all consuming. But my morning sickness is so so awful! I can barely eat. I have just forced down oven chips with tomatoes and cucumber as it's all I can face. It feels like weeks since I've been able to eat anything with flavour! And I can't cook at all so poor DP is now doing everything while I sit around and mope Hmm when will it end?!

smilingthroughgrittedteeth · 16/09/2014 21:04

carebear my ms has really eased, it hasnt gone but I can at least eat small meals now all I ate until about week 10 was dry crackers, chicken soup or chopped carrots and cuecumber, I couldnt keep anything else down.

I found ribena helped my ms when it was at its worst, id be sick with water but fine with ribena (actual cartons not the diluted stuff)

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 16/09/2014 21:27

Ah how lovely smiling

Have a good trip tiny although u don't envy you at all. I'm finding it so difficult to get through the working day at the moment. Had to fess up to my colleague in my office - the frequent loo trips, retching and constant munching on rich tea biscuits and mini cheddar a was impossible to hide. Feeling really funny now I've told someone though, like I've jinxed things.

My DH is also doing all the cooking. In fact he's doing everything. He's being such a star and really looking after me as I'm just a bit hopeless at the moment! The new thing is having a shower makes me retch!

Shetland · 16/09/2014 22:06

I find fizzy stuff helps with my sickness so I've been going through sparkling water at the rates of knots. And my diet is very bland to say the least.

Shetland · 17/09/2014 06:32

Good luck today babycakes

I have my first midwife appointment this morning - then I'll be official which is a bit nerve wracking.

TinyTear · 17/09/2014 07:31

With free WiFi at hotel.
Good luck Shetland and baby cakes today.

Yawn. Didn't sleep very well. Had a bathroom fan on all night and didn't see how to turn it off. Had to wrap my head in the pillow and was uncomfortable... Yawn

On to my meetings and back to the UK this evening

Wow, congratulations Babiecakes! What fabulous news :) I sincerely hope that this thread becomes lucky for all of us.

How did you calm the beanie down? I remember that with DS I had to go for walk, eat chocolate and drink coke to get him to wake up!

Great news babiecakes Grin

Midwife was fine, felt ok actually. Next stop 10 week scan in 2 weeks.

LIG1979 · 17/09/2014 13:13

Brilliant news smiling and babycakes. Smiling will you get any further scans as you had a 2nd trimester loss?

Shetland - hope the booking in appt goes well.

Carebear -crap you are feeling so yuk. Fingers crossed it will be over before to long. I find eating through it and sea sickness bands help along with b6 and metoclopramide. But it does mean I look about 5 months pregnant (as gained loads of weight) and with silly bands round my wrist.

Hope your work trip went well tiny. Are you out of the country?

I am enjoying my holiday. Still feeling yuk but over the worst of the nausea now. Feel a bit sorry for dh as he spends the evenings alone whilst dd and I are in bed. (Although would swop places to not feel sick and sit up on my own and drink beer! )

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 17/09/2014 13:18

Great news babiecakes congratulations! Am loving the 12 week succesful scans this week!

Glad the midwife went well shetland I found the booking in visit a bit of an anticlimax in my first pregnancy, I at least expected them to confirm I was pregnant rather than taking my word for it! This time round I just wanted to get through it as DH and I don't really speak about the future/this pregnancy at all at the moment

Glad you're enjoying your holiday LIG!

lila35 · 17/09/2014 14:28

Congrats s!iling and babiecakes! What a relief for you!!

The booking in app is all a bit underwhelming really isn't it?

I have to say I feel a lot better today, I'm 11+5, hoping its the placenta doing it's job and we're not going to get a nasty surprise on Friday.

I'm really hoping this is a lucky thread for all of us to!!
