Hello

Having had 5 mcs and 1 DD I am not feeling very hopeful (juest realistic) even though I am doing different things than before...

4w today and on cyclogest pessaries since CD21...

Maybe we could have a separate thread to the biiiig one so we don't scare the others with our (my) negativity...

Welcome

TinyTear, 40, 1 DD, 5mcs, due in April but don't want to know the exact day...

Good luck with scans today london and bristolian - I'll be thinking of you both. Xx

Bristolian1 · 10/09/2014 08:04

Good luck today London, I hope you get good news.

LIG1979 · 10/09/2014 08:19

Bristol - hope today goes better and they get to the bottom of what is going on.
London - good luck today
smiling - doesn't sound like you employees are very sympathetic. If they had guessed they should be going easy on you or at least giving you options to not do things if you weren't up to it.

I also have worse evening sickness. at the moment I am fairly good from about 9am and then things go downhill from about 5 pm - by 8 pm I am ready to crawl to bed in the hope that sleep will stop me feeling so bad.

Bristolian1 · 10/09/2014 10:36

Well it's all over for us I'm afraid ladies - no convincing HB today, unlikely to be molar (thank goodness) but they've still scheduled us for an ERPC on Friday. Thanks for all your support, this thread has been brilliant. Hope you all have lovely babies next spring xx

TinyTear · 10/09/2014 10:39

So sorry Bristolian

Wishing you all the best for your next attempt... Feel free to drop by on the RMC threads if you feel ready as there is great support there too

So sorry Bristolian. x

jbee1979 · 10/09/2014 14:00

I'm so sorry too Bristolian. I had an ERPC and although I was scared, I'd never had an op before, I'd thoroughly recommend it. Will be thinking of you xx

OneDayLikeThis2013 · 10/09/2014 14:12

I second jbee bristol, I'm not sure if you've had an ERPC before but for me personally I would choose to have an ERPC again over the other options.

Thinking of you at your scan today london

TinyTear · 10/09/2014 14:31

I had two ERPCs (MC2 and MC4) and much prefer it...

I'm so sorry bristolian, wishing you all the best for the future. Take care of yourself Thanks

LondonSuperTrooper · 10/09/2014 17:13

Hi ladies,

Thank you so much for thinking of me Thanks My scan went ok!!! I was absolutely amazed as I've been having pain in my groin area & thought I was miscarrying. We saw a blob with a flickering heartbeat. I'm still not out of the woods though - need to make it to the 9 week scan.

As I've been referred to the EPU via the miscarriage clinic, they've scheduled me in for another scan on Monday 22 Sept. Only if I get the all clear then this pregnancy will start to sink in & I will start believing it .... I'm trying to persuade my husband to think about having the harmony scan if/when I make it to the 9 week scan. He does not want me to do & I really want to as I'm 40 years old. Has anyone come across this? He believes that whatever God gives us, we should accept & deal with the hand we are given...... to a certain I agree with that, but I still need some reassurance of Harmony. Does anyone's DH/DP feel like that?

Bristolian I'm thinking of you. Please keep strong and be kind to yourself.

TinyTear · 10/09/2014 18:26

London what I told my husband was that I wanted to know and be prepared... Rather than being caught up
I want time to make a decision and get my mind round things

Glad your scan went well

So sorry to hear your news Bristol.

Shetland · 10/09/2014 19:41

Congratulations on the scan london

I agree with tiny I think I'd want to know about something like DS in advance so I had the time to adjust my thoughts and properly prepare for it.

LIG1979 · 10/09/2014 20:03

London - tough one. I think if you can afford it then go for it. If you cannot easily afford it, then it is not worth paying for if it will not influence your decision. If it will help you make a very difficult decision earlier or give you more time to think then it is worth seeing if you can find the cash. I think it is very tough on the nhs that you have to wait till 16 weeks for the amniocentesis (which has its' risks), then longer for the results and every day you wait it becomes more of a baby and feel kicks etc. This must make a very difficult decision even harder.

Feeling very rough tonight so just off to sleep Sad Sad

Bristolian - hope you are ok tonight and also to any of the others that have had to leave the thread. I hope you are all ok and recovering well.

LIG1979 · 10/09/2014 20:07

forgot to say Bristolian my erpc was great - went in at 8 am, went down for op at 9.30am and left hospital at 11.30am. It was also all over (After weeks of waiting to miscarry) so psychologically it really helped my recover and I could start to move on.

Shetland · 11/09/2014 07:13

Got my scan this morning - feel sick as hell.

TinyTear · 11/09/2014 08:07

Good luck Shetland

Thanks tiny

I'm not from Shetland no, though it is in my list of places I need to go to! My name is in reference to Shetland Stock - as in the horses. I use it to describe my build ;)
