Theonewiththenoisychild I could probably have passed for pregnant before I was, third child and that belly didn't want to shift. Also worrying about how quick people will guess!!!

MGFM · 24/07/2014 15:33

What an awful drive! Was very sleepy, had to stop for some Percy pigs at the petrol station to try and keep me awake. Home now though. I am very lucky at the moment due to working away this year I now have 7 weeks off. Back at work Sept 15th.

tannyLoo · 24/07/2014 15:42

I've had two scans so far, at 4+3 and 6+5, both dildo cam. Another one booked for a week's time when I'll be 8+5, and I fully expect that to be dildo cam too...

persepolis123 · 24/07/2014 15:45

7 weeks off MGFM? Not fair! Only 7 weeks until my holiday though yay

Sunshine4444 · 24/07/2014 15:48

I had mine at 6+5 days, they picked baby up through my stomach but said if we wanted a clearer picture it would be internal, I did obviously and it was fine!

We got to see and hear the heartbeat and it was amazing, cant wait for 12 weeks!

buddhabee · 24/07/2014 15:54

oooh sunshine how exciting - bet that has put your mind at ease massively. I have my early scan tomorrow - will be 6+3 - but I did ovulate a week earlier on cd8 so am hoping that they will be able to hear a heartbeat. They say that it brings your chance of mc down to 5% and those are much better odds for me to panic about for the next 6 weeks than not knowing!!

was it emotional - i think i'll cry!!

pinkandstripey · 24/07/2014 15:58

All booked in :) proceeding on the basis that I want an elcs, being referred to the relevant person to discuss further. I thought it may cause some issues that we'll (hopefully) be moving half way through this pregnancy, but we just carry on as normal and should all transfer to new area.

So, successful appointment I feel :)

I thought the heat has broken this morning, I went to supermarket with long sleeves on about 930. No such luck!

Butterpuff · 24/07/2014 16:02

snap pink I'm all booked in to, and no problems with us moving half way through (bigger problems with me deciding now is the time to tell the NHS I got married last year and want my name changed!)

I have to do bloods soon and have been told I'm low risk so can go to the local midwife led centre for the rest of my journey with hopes that all goes smoothly and I can birth there.

Now have to get excited waiting for my 12 week scan date to come through.

While trying not to vomit several times a day. Yesterday was hideous, so much for the anti-sickness tablets if anything they made it worse.

FoscarC · 24/07/2014 16:18

I'm getting all my midwife appts and scans done where I work (I live here during the week too), but I will move back to my 'home home' once I go on maternity leave and will have the baby there - as long as all goes to plan. My midwife doesn't think it'll be a problem but I'm slightly concerned that I know nothing about what is available in the place I will be having my baby. I think I'll have to start investigating closer to the time rather than leave it until I go on maternity leave. Unfortunately my bosses aren't as kind as yours mgfm and I am not getting posted back to my husband. Does anyone have any experience of going to somewhere new this late and if so is it a problem? I'm planning on doing NCT at my home home location to at least meet people and get some idea of what's available.

KeeperOfTheZoo · 24/07/2014 16:35

Well I'm now in a bad mood - the woman who crashed into me this morning said at the time that she would pay for the damage herself, which was fine by me, as obviously that would prevent my insurance premiums being affected. Well, she's just rung me to say she now wants to go through the insurance, due to the damage to her car as well, which means that even though it was in no way my fault, we are now going to have to declare the accident for the next 3 years whenever we renew our car insurance - no fair!! Angry

Dreading telling my husband - the car is technically in his name, as is the insurance, and it's a Subaru Impraze so not the cheapest to insure in the first place!! Angry

Anyway, rant over. On a positive note, I notice that quite a few of us have either just had MW appointments or have them coming up soon. We'll all be at the 12-week point in no time...! Smile Wink

MGFM · 24/07/2014 16:46

foscarc I am lucky. I was due to be posted back to the navy in October anyway and with all the POst op tour leave I have I think my boss who also has a toddler was very understanding and was happy to release me early. I think generally the navy is better at this stuff than the army.

I have such wonderful neighbours. When I got home I just collapsed on the sofa and she came round with an ice lolly! Amazing,

teaandbiscuitsforme · 24/07/2014 17:03

MGFM My DH is in the navy, I hate him being away all week! Although better than being away for months!! Hope you enjoy being at home and not having to do the weekly commute!

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 24/07/2014 17:04

Keeper thats rubbish, will it make much difference to your insurance, mine seemed to think not when I had a very minor accident a month ago, might not be as bad as you think!!
Getting jealous of all the scans, midwife appointments and such!! Don't have my booking app til 18th aug and my friend who had a baby here recently didn't get her scan til 14 weeks as they are apparently so far behind!!!

PickledPorcupine · 24/07/2014 17:14

Woodland could you put your ds in a big brother top and just not say anything.

And hahahahaha @ dildocam! I had one at 4 weeks but it was for my endo investigations which have now all be postponed with me being up duffed.

notoasthere · 24/07/2014 17:17

foscar good plan on the nct at home home, will definitely help in creating a sypport network and finding out about what's on offer locally

keeper oh no, just not what you need at all!

My friend is just over 3 weeks ahead of me, so it's nice being reminded that this horrible sicky exhausted stage does start to pass sooner than you think

got home from work to scan appt for 20th August Smile Pretty impressed given I only got doctor referral on Monday. still waiting for midwife to call re booking in.

MissRee · 24/07/2014 17:59

Afternoon all, another newbie checking in. I do believe I've followed some of the ladies over from AN club for my DD (2.5) I also have DSS who will be 9 in September.

Stats: 32yo, due around 27/03 (tbc)

bouncesky · 24/07/2014 18:25

Just been for scan. Saw heartbeat and size is pretty much perfect for 8+2; three measurements were 2x 8+2 and one measurement came out as 8+4. All a bit real now! Smile

teaandbiscuitsforme · 24/07/2014 18:28

Congrats bouncesky, what a fab feeling!

MotherOfInsomniacToddlers · 24/07/2014 18:32

Exciting stuff bouncesky

fourmonthstogo · 24/07/2014 18:37

Congrats bouncesky and hello new folk!

keeper surely it will just be recorded as an incident with the other driver at fault on your insurance, with no impact on your policy or effect on your no claims, with the other driver's insurance covering it? Hope so anyway! Hope you are feeling Ok.

MGFM · 24/07/2014 18:41

bouncesky exciting!! I can't wait till my scan next Tuesday!!

Dinnerfor1 · 24/07/2014 19:11

Congrats bounce

ZebraZeebra · 24/07/2014 19:53

Hurrah on all the little heart beats!! So exciting.

I'm so fucking sick of this heat. It's all I seem to say right now but it's fucking me off so bad. It's making me so grumpy. I'm sure it's why DS is waking up at 5 every morning.

FoscarC · 24/07/2014 20:38

Yay bounce I bet that was amazing. I'm just wishing for my scan now. Only 3 ish weeks to go hopefully. I am definitely starting to feel better. Thank God! I hope it's just all my ms coming to an end and nothing bad but I feel significantly better. Just done yoga which was horrid in this heat but my instructor is great and made me go very slowly because of my low blood pressure.
