Onwards into the 2nd trimester, where hopefully the bumps will overtake the poo factories!

Thanks Rum and Blitz. I think I have to phone her, she's a very good friend and don't feel comfortable texting. Definitely wouldn't put her in the position of doing it face to face. Going to call her this evening, I definitely don't want her to hear it from anyone else.

blizy · 22/07/2014 20:11

I hope she takes it ok camsie, but if she doesn't she will come round. Let us know how it goes.

Keepontrudging · 22/07/2014 20:15

Camsie I told my mate who cannot conceive (naturally) I was pregnant by text. She had told me some time before that this Is how she likes to find out. She has been fab through this pregancy, a real unexpected support and I am so glad I told her when I did x

RPopz · 22/07/2014 20:54

I think if it were me, I would prefer to find out by text/ phone.... give me a chance to manage my emotions...and not have to worry about a sensible to response straight away!

rumisyum · 22/07/2014 20:56

Glad you're home mummyk8! Hope the pain and bleeding settles down soon & you're being well looked after. Thanks

Love the sound of your pregnancy library saras. Smile

Hope your conversation with your friend goes well camsie.

Thank you so much everyone. Just called her and she's at the theatre, it's the interval! Will call her tomorrow xx

RPopz · 22/07/2014 21:09

Saw Mum this afternoon and she said: "that bump is massive already... you're going to be HUGE!" Hmm (it really isn't...) I sometimes wonder if the she's ever actually seen a pregnant person before!!

Dec2013mummy · 22/07/2014 21:33

I have a very close friend who had to do her pregnancy test this morning after ivf. It was negative. I am so so upset for her. She is in high spirits though and had already decided that if this try didn't work they would go down the adoption route. I want to give her a big big hug :( I just wish ther was done way of helping her really.

blizy · 22/07/2014 22:20

That's so sad dec, your poor friend.
we were just about to start the IVF journey when I got my bfp. I had had the HSG which was clearance the next step was IVF. We are both so relieved it didn't come to that.

ViviPru · 22/07/2014 23:33

Ha RPopz that's just the kind of thing my Mum comes out with!

Starbright24 · 23/07/2014 07:13

Anyone in the fb group who can add me. I found the page eventually and sent in a join request a few days ago and sent a mail but not heard anything back.
thx.
hope you're doing better today mummyk8.
I have woken up grumpy today and stupid bin men are outside making loads of noise. I really wish I could drink tea again.

cheshirem2b · 23/07/2014 09:18

Glad you are home mummyk8! Thanks look after yourself and get lots of rest.

I'm in a right grump this morning! We got our cats from the cattery yesterday after being away for the weekend. At first all lovely and nice, fell asleep on the bed with us etc etc. I couldn't sleep because it was too hot (new build and with windows open etc it was still 26 degrees in our bedroom). Drifted off about 3am I think and at 4am woken to the clattering of the glass of water on my bedside table going flying and two psycho cats playing chase! I cleaned up the water and DH locked the cats out of the room!
Got back to sleep at 5am and alarm went off at 7am!!! Too tired and hot to eat breakfast (forced some fruit down and have supplies for the day)
Come to work to find someone off ill and another member of staff with "girl flu"! Angry

Very much not in the mood today so my clients better watch out! Wink

Hope you all have a good day!

ViviPru · 23/07/2014 10:10

Psssst we've way more threads than December and February. Not that it's a competition or anything. It is, it IS. Everything is a competition.

LulusMiniEgg · 23/07/2014 10:25

And considering we now have the fb page and still manage to find things to talk about!
Bets on what we'll finish on?! I'm going 23

ViviPru · 23/07/2014 10:50

There's just SO MUCH TO SAY.

Like last night, DH found this really good website for names... britishbabynames.com. I really like the lists by style, origin and theme....

Minibagel · 23/07/2014 10:55

I think if we go through threads at the current pace we'll be on about 19 by the time the new year rolls in. Crrrazy!

I can't remember now (have just caught up on the last 4 pages) who asked about how the babasling felt with a 1yr old in it, being a one shoulder sling, but it felt loads easier than just having him on my hip unsupported. I think I might try a ring sling with the new baby before I make my mind up.

4 sleeps til we find out the sex. Baby name list getting longer and longer but then it will be halved on Monday!

15+3

ViviPru · 23/07/2014 11:27

That was me about the sling. For some reason I imagine it would be less ergonomic than a cross-back, but that's not based on anything other than first impression so interesting to hear your take.

We had our first name conversation at the weekend. I'd been dreading it as I was convinced DH would be nonplussed by my preferred choices. Happy to report he liked most of them, and I was amazed he had had ZERO thoughts about names himself. Claiming that he didn't think there's be any point as he knew I would have it all in hand Confused.

Will you share all your M or F names you'd been considering but won't be using with us Mini once you've had the sex confirmed? I have a feeling I will like them. Your DSs name would be high on my list of choices had I not made a pact with a close friend that I wouldn't use it as it's her favourite.... (And DH has a mild problem with the repeated consonant in it!)

SK28 · 23/07/2014 12:06

Hi everyone - I've been away for a few days and we've moved on to another new thread!

We've still not dtd but I find it so interesting that it seems generally to be men wanting it and pg ladies not - for us it's the other way round! I think he's coming round to the idea though so maybe this week is the week :) I hadn't realised bleeding is quite common though so glad I know that now and won't be too alarmed if that happens.

Loved catching up on everyone's bump chat! I'm 14+2 and definitely have a bump. I'm wearing more clingy stuff to make sure it looks like a bump not just a belly and have had several people notice and ask this week. I feel huge for 14 weeks but I guess everyone's different and it's only going to get bigger so may as well get used to it!

KateTheHuman · 23/07/2014 12:15

I've just spent the past 3 hours looking at baby names!! Aaaaaargh! I know DH is going to say nay to everything I like. Even though I only like two names hahaha. We've kinda agreed on a girl's name and a boy's name but i'm still searching as the names we like are too popular I think. But the girl's name I've wanted since I was a little girl. So I have to choose that name right? But now I've been looking at middle names I kinda like this middle name more at the moment (which is the name i think DH is going to veto) but then would I totally regret not picking the name I've wanted for decades! Names are stupid! Haha It's too confusing!! buries head under desk

KateTheHuman · 23/07/2014 12:15

oh and 16+6
