Welcome, welcome, welcome to the 10th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed Grin

For those that don't know, a 'viroid' is from the original JSing thread 1, where someone was trying to type ladies (in reference to all the JSing ladies), but their phone decided to call us all viroids instead!

The name stuck and we've been the JSing viroids ever since.

There is a stats thread here but its a zombie thread so enter at your own risk....... eeeeek

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 26th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal here once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

There is also a secret facebook group, if you want to join, Pm me!

So, roll call below please, viroids! Smile

Oh Foxy. Don't beat yourself up with how you should feel. That way madness lies. Did you cut down your meds for ttc/ pg reasons? You could still be adjusting to the change. I've had depression and anxiety for most of my adult life. Hermit mode is totally normal for me - during bad times I always withdraw from everyone, especially DH. I'm taking ads at the moment and probably will continue to do so for my entire pg. I feel lucky in that pregnancy so far seems to have had a positive impact on my mood and mh. But pregnancy a massive, life changing, nervewracking, hormonal cocktail event! So I expect its more normal to feel a bit mixed up at this time, esp with existing mh ishoos Wink Just do what you feel is best. Mr Fox will understand x

ZylaB · 20/07/2014 10:30

fox how you feel is normal for you. There's no prescribed way you should feel! You're hormonal and worrying. Do what makes you feel most comfortable, if it's keeping it quiet for longer, then do that. No ones judging or condemning you. Have a chat to DP and explain how you're feeling, I'm sure he'll be on side. And remind him about the hormones!

Hugs

We're off to watch the new planet of the apes film..popcorn for lunch yay!

ohfourfoxache · 20/07/2014 10:56

Thank you Blush Sad

Thankfully the decision has been taken out of our hands for today - we were supposed to be meeting up with them today but it has been cancelled. I feel so relieved - so I guess that's my answer Confused

I suppose I'm just struggling to see what normal is at the moment. Am I withdrawn because I'm reducing my tablets ( yep RPopz it's because of pg - otherwise I'd be on a massive dose Sad ) or am I withdrawn because I'm pg (that's what I see as abnormal).

Zyla popcorn for lunch sounds wonderful!

RPopz · 20/07/2014 11:55

Mr Rpopz is really pissing me off this morning! I've made a list and we're meant to be going baby shopping. (not for all of it)... so far he's sniggered at "breast pump" , "tears" and "muslins (!?!?)" Hmm Angry

RPopz · 20/07/2014 11:55

*teats!!!

HungryHorace · 20/07/2014 12:24

Ohfour, I'm the same as you re telling people (and it's nothing to do with ADs, I'm just quite private about such things). I did tell some people before the scan, but not really family. My sister and DH's mum knew, the rest of the family were told after the scan, as were the friends who didn't know.

Don't worry about whether your reaction is 'normal' as you'd go bonkers analysing everything. But it's your body, your choice who's told, IMO.

RPopz, sorry your DH is being a child. :-/ Hopefully he will get over it sooner rather than later.

If you can get a starter pack for £10-£12 it's worth it as 2-3 bottles can cost more than than if you miss out on an offer. I prefer our electric steriliser, though the microwave ones are fine.

I actually slept ok ish last night. Still tired today though.

Been monitored and scanned, and baby is still breech, with a potentially engaging arse! As I'm a bit niggly they're keeping an eye on me as they don't want me going into labour at home with a breech baby as it's 30 mins or so from here and I laboured fast last time. I think they'll examine me and decide on a course of action later. Staying in for now though.

Nessalina · 20/07/2014 14:07

Hi all, sorry I've been a bit quiet lately, been trying to stay off my phone a bit more, exercise some will power, but didn't want the thread to drop off! Hope everyone is ok, and I'll hopefully catch up properly soon xx

wilmabedrock · 20/07/2014 14:55

Oh you're so good Nessa that's what I need to do.

Fox I feel totally the same. I read something last night where someone said they felt really disassociated from the pg and that felt so familiar to me. I wasn't like this at all last time and in fact I felt amazing during pg. Guess it's not always the same though. I haven't taken ADs for years now and wouldn't want to start during pg as they make me sick initially so just trying to ride it out. You're still early on so will have loads of crazy hormones pinging about. Hopefully will settle down at end of first trimester Thanks .

RPopz · 20/07/2014 15:16

Took your advice Horace - just got a pack of 6 TT bottles in the sale for a tenner.... Yet still 6 quid for one, or 15 quid for 3!! Confused Crazy. Also got a cold water steriliser for 4 quid in sale so pretty chuffed with myself haha!

Minion · 20/07/2014 17:52

Afternoon grads.
Sorry I've been MIA too. Have just been having a weird feeling week. Yep, you guessed it, 20 week scans tomorrow and I'm trying to work out how I feel etc.
Went to my little cousins wedding yesterday, seeing some people I have seen for years, my aunt especially. Cried like a loon on and off all day. Wanted to blame hormones but I don't think anyone believed me.
They are all waiting with baited breath about what gender we are having. I'm just trying to imagine the sonographer telling me everything is ok.
Scanxious again eh!
I'll catch up after dinner, as for once, I'm hungry! (Let's see how long that lasts)

Purplecircle · 20/07/2014 22:37

Evening, can I join in please,
I just got my bfp today and it hasn't sunk in yet

Name: Purplecircle
Age: 40
Edd: 28th March 2015 according to mn calculator

wilmabedrock · 20/07/2014 22:48

Congratulations again Purple, good to have you here.

I have cramp in my leg, it's driving me nuts Envy .

ZylaB · 21/07/2014 06:28

Hey purple :) congrats again

ZylaB · 21/07/2014 06:29

Being as we were talking fruit sizes before, apparently I have a blueberry this week? :)

ZylaB · 21/07/2014 06:29

Wil a, try something sweet, cramp can sometimes be due to low blood sugars, it's a good excuse!

wilmabedrock · 21/07/2014 07:49

Thanks zyla, I seriously doubt my blood sugar is ever low at the moment as that would suggest I could manage to go more than an hour without eating some kind of junk Grin .

RPopz · 21/07/2014 08:13

My legs are always crampy in the night now! But again, I seriously doubt my blood sugar is low either.... Wink

Pisghetti · 21/07/2014 09:30

Morning viroids.

Urgh I hate cramps Wil. No suggestions - they're a mystery to me.

DP and I need to have a proper chat about when to tell people as we're making vague suggestions without really knowing what the plan is. I've been able to explain away the no drinking so far by claiming I'm having a 'nearly dry July' to dry out after Glasto but we have lots of social occasions planned for August and I can't be Des for all of them! I have a family wedding on the Bank Holiday weekend - I'll be nearly 11 weeks then so suggested I should tell my family then but he doesn't seem too sure. I'll have a chat with the MW about when I'm likely to hear a heartbeat as I think that would be a clincher for me. I can't seem to find a local clinic that will do a private scan before 7/8 weeks but that's an option we can look at a bit later....

Anyways... I can't really bring myself to browse baby stuff but I have been looking at maternity wear - anyone know what the purpose of a bump band is???

Minion · 21/07/2014 10:27

Apparently it's so you can continue to wear tshirts etc on top without it riding up and showing belly to all and sundry. I think.
Don't hold me to it though.

Right grads, 20 scan this afternoon.
Place your bets, pink or blue!

Congratulations purple and welcome welcome! X

wilmabedrock · 21/07/2014 10:50

I'm so undecided min, I want to say pink to up the girl quota but I think blue. Although I also think mine is blue so maybe that's why I feel that.

Mr Wil has gone back to bed and I can't get anything done with the wee one under my feet. I have set up all her toys in the garden but suddenly she doesn't want to play with any of them. Very annoying.

RPopz · 21/07/2014 10:54

Exciting times Min!! Grin I think mine is blue too.... so i'm going to go with a pink for you Smile Good luck! Have you any preference? xx

Pisghetti · 21/07/2014 10:58

Hmmm I could have done with one of those for the past thirteen years...

I'll bet rifles through desk drawers for something to use as a stake two out of date sachets of brown sauce on pink! Wow I really need to clear out my drawers....

JuniDD · 21/07/2014 11:10

I think blue for you minion.

congrats purple

On the cramps, try not to point your toes when you stretch, flex through your heel instead.

I'm so tired today, it's making me feel quite down. Sad It's nice to have a busy weekend but then I couldn't sleep last night. Going to my parents tonight to get some spoiling in!

Minion · 21/07/2014 11:43

At first, and I feel awful for saying this out loud I really wanted a girl however lately I've been thinking how cool it would be to have a boy.
They have all the best toys, lego etc (that's not to say girls don't like it, I did), and I'd love for a little one to be walking round in a superhero caped babygrow!

Kinda hoping he won't grow up to like football though, don't like the game and spesh don't like all the hype andtat that goes with it ..
So in a round about way, nope don't mind which flavour wants to be my kid x
