Hiya so this will probably be our last ante natal thread GrinGrin Really hope that our postnatal thread is as busy.
You ladies have been a great support, and it's been fab going through pregnancy with you all. I honestly don't know how I would have got through the last 6 weeks of 4am wakings without you.

I'm not due till 24th and have no signs baby is still coming early so will probably be the last one one here - don't forget me!

Anyway will love you and leave you - actually will now pop back onto our regular thread for a chat Smile

Happy birthing Thanks

Conversely, Zing, I am looking forward to being able to tie my shoelaces and crawl around the floor with my DD! And put cushions behind my own back when I'm sitting with my feet up. Currently DH has to haul me forward and stuff the cushion behind me as quickly as he can, the poor love. Grin

Those of you still waiting and feeling envious of us with our new bundles it will soon be our turn to be jealous of you when you are in bed snuggling your newborns while your DP's make lunch. Meanwhile those of us who have had babies early will be juggling newborns, older dc's and housework. I was one of the last of my june 2006 online group to pop and I remember the frustration while waiting and then being pleased I was one of the last when I finally had DS1.

Emilybunny · 27/07/2014 19:18

I'm still pregnant too... Due on Thursday. Keep meeting people who say "oh it's your first your baby will probably be at least 10 days overdue" and I'm feeling irritable and hot. Just want to meet my baby now.....

justhayley · 27/07/2014 19:23

Could this be it?!?!Grin
Getting few fairly mild possible contractions every 7/8 mins lasting about 25 seconds.
DTD about 2 hours before they started so will shall see.

That's true Ellie, I suppose whenever we have our babies we're all lucky with timings in some ways and unlucky in other ways if that makes sense! Smile

Fox28 · 27/07/2014 19:27

Oooh fingers crossed hayley!!

AuntieMaggie · 27/07/2014 19:46

zing yay for your phone... its given me an idea for the phone I dropped in the bath last month :(

icklekid · 27/07/2014 23:58

Good luck hayley fingers crossed that this really is it!

emily just smile and nod- everyone said same to me (and that he would be 9lb+) and he came on due date weighing 7lb1!

icklekid · 28/07/2014 00:03

fox good luck with craft project don't forget to show us the finished product!

Right tablet making posting ridiculous so going to give up now!

Plateofcrumbs · 28/07/2014 01:27

So much to catch up on, and turns out this baby business is quite time consuming.

Just starting our 5th night in hospital (3rd post-delivery). DS (seems strange writing that) is healthy but is an extreme version of the 'sleepy baby' like Zing - simply has no interest in feeding so we are basically stuck forcibly feeding formula via syringe to get something down him. Feels like a catch 22 as he's now loaded up on formula all the time so even less interested in the boob. Hope we can get past it.

Will have to write up the full birth experience sometime - it has a bit of everything!

Safyre · 28/07/2014 04:13

I have fallen behind on this thread, but waters finally broke at 02:30 this morning, 1 week overdue. Now I just need to decide if I'm going to phone the labour ward, or wait and see if any contractions start. Bouncing like mad on my ball, but it seems to be having no effect whatsoever...

justhayley · 28/07/2014 04:59

Well turns out it was it Grin
Baby girl born at home at 10.43pm. Just 1 hour and 15 mins after I decided yes I was having contractions and maybe I should call the midwife to give her a heads up that I'd be calling her at one point in the night. Thankfully she decided that she should come and examine me (even though I said I was totally fine it would be a while) and then leave. When she arrived I already had the urge to push but thought I couldn't possibly as it had only started to really really hurt about 5 contractions ago. (I thought I actually needed a poo & begged midwife not to let DP see this happen lol). Baby was born back to back after 2 pushes Grin.
Didn't have any pain relief and didn't get to use my pool Hmm In fact didn't even use the room I worked so hard on to get perfect. Thought I'd be burning clary sage oil in soft lighting with my birthing CD on - WRONG lol. She was born with me on my hands and knees on the front room floor on a shower curtain lol. Birthing ball was my saviour!
She weighs 7lbs 3 and fed beautifully. I had a few stitches, 2nd degree tear which doesn't really hurt, but what's killing me are the after pains. Never had these with DS they are like contractions all over again.
Legs & back feel like iv run a marathon, think recovery will take a while. With DS I felt fine straight away.
Well that's it, did not expect this when I woke this morning - or even really when I posted lol. we ordered a Chinese takeaway afterwards, which Iv just remembered I didn't eat lol

Think that's it for now don't no why I'm awake - had a few hours but my body has remembered that between 4-5am every night we post on MN baby or not lol.

Yayyyyyyyyy! Congratulations hayley my lovely!! Lips are sealed until you make it official on FB! So pleased for you xxx

ZingGoesPop · 28/07/2014 07:42

Hayley - fantastic news, well done, congratulations! Thanks
It's never how you imagined it would be, but it went down sounds pretty good to me!Wink

Fox & Kiwi -apart from baby himself being here the no more morning sickness is the single best thing about not being pg anymore.
I still can't eat masses, nor drink a pint of water in one go as my stomach feels full very quickly.

And it was a great pleasure to have my first proper bath on Saturday, which involved getting rid of the jungle of hair down below, that grew unattended. After I trimmed away Bin Laden's beard I felt great! Grin

BlueC2 · 28/07/2014 08:17

Woohoo Hayley yet another quick labour on this thread! So glad the MW came out and DP didn't have to deliver!! Hope you're all doing well.

Glad you got your phone sorted zing

ickle DD gaining weight ok but latch not good and feeds short and frequent. Going to chase our referral again today!

moresnow you're doing so well persisting with the feeding-hope you can get the TT sorted today! What can they do about lip tie?

So little lady will be 2 weeks old already tonight Shock and DH is back to work tomorrow :( DM and DSD have brought their little caravan down to stay this week to help. Poor things are pitched on at a 'caravan club certified location' aka field with a tap at a local farm-though storms overnight and now mean field probably turning into a swamp :(

GrouchyKiwi · 28/07/2014 08:29

Congratulations Hayley! Your MW was very clever.

Howly · 28/07/2014 09:02

Congratulations Hayley, well done! So happy for you!

40 + 4 and still pregnant Sad I really don't think I am ever going to have this baby, she is just a figment of my imagination!! Every night I go to bed hoping I will go into labour during the night but wake up in the morning...still pregnant GAH!!

I'm on course for being the last July baby or quite possibly August (does that mean I get chucked off this thread!!!)

liquidstatehasrisenagain · 28/07/2014 09:21

Congrats Hayley!!!

Well am on my own for the first time all day today. So far so good but I really must be sleeping when bean sleeps right? Except I am eating drap and watching trashy tv Grin.

PS - Zing have also done a Bin Ladens beard removal over the weekend, was looking very grim...

Fox28 · 28/07/2014 09:25

Wow congratulations Hayley! Hope my labour is as quick!

Safyre I think you need to tell the hospital your waters have broken, contractions or not, as there's an increased risk of infection. Hope things have got going for you now!

I feel exactly the same Howly - that this baby is just in my imagination! I couldn't get to sleep last night thinking when will it start to happen! I think I may end up being august now Sad

Zing I'm looking forward to seeing what's going on down below too!! Grin

GrouchyKiwi · 28/07/2014 09:31

Official EDD today. Nothing happening. Boo. Sweep booked tomorrow so hopefully that will get things going. My personal EDD is 30 July so if the sweep does work I'm hoping Baby will arrive then and I'll have 2 from 2 for my dates (DD was born 2 days after their EDD, but bang on 40 weeks for me), but DH says it will be cheating since there's a sweep. I can tell him to shut it, right?

Also feel like I'm going to be pregnant forever.

Had a dream last night that Baby was born after only two gentle pushes and no painful labour. But that turned out to be a dream within a dream because the "reality" was that things went very wrong and I had to have an emergency CS that my brain denied. That had better not happen, body!

mupperoon · 28/07/2014 09:34

Congratulations Hayley! Shame you didn't get to use your special birthing room but on the other hand, I'd trade the environment for a labour as quick as that!

Howly Well, at 39+6 I am expecting to be the last one still pregnant on this thread. Sad It's stupid but I feel like the longer we wait, the further away the baby is!

Good luck Safyre with the bouncing... I will be doing some of that myself later.

Thankfully it's a bit cooler today.

icklekid · 28/07/2014 10:09

Yay huge congratulations Hayley enjoy plenty of newborn cuddles and hope pain goes soon -hope you got back to sleep

liquid my first day alone too! Ds is sleeping wwll but waking when I put him down where as normally goes down fine in the day. Had to answer door to postman whilst feeding! Was covered up but still, am sure it won't be the last time1
