Just catching up, I want to join the Facebook group too- is it the one with the pic of the bus? I am happy to add as a friend as you can always hide from your newsfeed..

I have waaaaay too many hawk-eyed, nosey friends on FB (I am one myself) to risk friending something so controversial, even for a split second before hiding it on the newsfeed!

Linda- I just posted on the penis dragon thread and it came up on my newsfeed!? Is it still private even though it shows my comment on my newsfeed.

When I search jan babies I just get a Chinese looking lady with link to brad and Angelina....

You can hide from news feed (which is what I had done) by going in to your activity log - although still a couple of seconds delay, but not sure if this can be done on phone.

Good news is my letter yesterday confirmed a low risk- so now its on to worrying about the 20 week scan

Vivi- I know! It's like I have nightmares about mil / acquaintances seeing my vitriol about them on Aibu hahah!

If you wanted to check, just go to "activity log" if it has a circle with a line through - then this is hidden from what others can see.

If the group is set to secret like this one The115Bus (search it on FB you won't find it unless your a member) then the only people who will see things to do with it will be other group members .

I havent got the invite yet, but i am quite worried. We haven't told DH's sister yet (comlicated realtionship) and also haven't told his friend with the brain tumour so I may wait to join you all on fb until they have been informed. DH would never forgive me if i gave the game away on fb!

I won't mind soon, but we've still got DH's sisters, BF and a controversial friend of mine to tell (controversial as we used to be close until she was my maid of honour and underwent some kind of personality lobotomy)

DH's BF would be devastated if he discovered impersonally on FB, he's probably going to be the most excited out of everyone we tell

I'm still going to join the group if I can though (FB isn't letting me follow the invite link yet - anyone else had any joy?) as I am pretty confident about the discretion of private groups having used them before.

Oh man Kate she practically had a break down over it... I was scouts honour the most undemanding bride, I think the whole episode coincided with an unsettled time in her life and she just lost the plot majorly.

We are in touch (live quite far apart) and have resolved our differences but there hasn't seemed to have been an opportune time to tell her our news, and I'm a bit of a phonephobe so burying my head a bit. But I'm coming up for 16 weeks and lots of people now know so I need to woman up .... I've decided to email her once we've seen DH's sisters and tell her we're sharing the news with people now family know which is a bit of a fib but at least explains why I've not told her sooner....
