Penis dragons, eh? Maybe I should set a new secret fb group up for us january ladies called 'the poo factory and easy to use lady gardens'?

Minibagel · 10/07/2014 21:14

Can I also just add that heartburn is taking over my evenings. Anyone else?

Pass the gaviscon.

Camsie30 · 10/07/2014 21:15

Lol Mini! I didn't use a penis dragon... Just a bit of bendy plastic/ turkey baster!!

ViviPru · 10/07/2014 21:17

I'm now officially going to have nightmares after google image searching penis dragons. Confused My eyes. Still entirely none the wiser.

Minibagel · 10/07/2014 21:20

This is exactly the sort of thing I should never google. Ever. I had a nightmare last night that I was expressing milk onto a bowl of strawberries which I planned to then eat. My mind is already messed up enough thank you Grin

ViviPru · 10/07/2014 21:22

Haha Mini that's hilarious!

SK28 · 10/07/2014 21:23

Thanks everyone for being so welcoming! Have just been reading through the thread - hugs to everyone who's having a worrying time.

We had our first scan on Tuesday - there was part of me that was terrified there'd be nothing there, but our little person was there and wriggling about non-stop! I didn't expect to see so much movement.

The last week I definitely feel like I've started to show - I'm sure it can't all be baby, but have no hope of getting into my jeans any more. It feels early for a bump - is anyone else showing yet?

mummyk8 · 10/07/2014 21:24

Keep Such lovely news :)

Thinking of Made bless her x

Camsie30 I was thinking the same thing - had never heard of "penis dragon"

Would also be happy to 'out myself' to all on this feed via facebook.

DS got his SAT results today and he aced them. I'm stupidly proud and taking him out to dinner to celebrate has really taken my mind off the impending cervical suture.

KeepOnPloddingOn · 10/07/2014 21:36

Mini - your dreams sound amazing! As does this fb group idea ... I'm in. Who else?

KeepOnPloddingOn · 10/07/2014 21:38

Mummy- well done to your boy :)

Saraswati · 10/07/2014 21:38

Poo factory fb group?! Count me in! Grin

Saraswati · 10/07/2014 21:39

What do we need to do? I'm not 'out' on fb yet and don't plan to be for a bit - is it an invisible group?

mummyk8 · 10/07/2014 21:43

Yes count me in for the "Poo factory fb page" too. Oh boy that made me giggle. Sounds like a great idea.

Minibagel · 10/07/2014 21:49

Ok I'll look into setting it up. The sillier name the better. Although what if one day FB breaks and suddenly all the convos in secret groups get made public?! THE SHAME of the poo factory

Minibagel · 10/07/2014 21:50

Hmm I'm worried it's going to show up on my feed....

lindamagoo · 10/07/2014 21:52

lol could you imagine people in real life seeing the shit we talk about Grin

Minibagel · 10/07/2014 21:55

Maybe this is the best place for all our talk after all!

lindamagoo · 10/07/2014 21:58

I better not come back from hospital tomorrow to an empty bus Sad don't leave without me Smile I'm away for an early night, sweet|strange dreams to you all Grin

sleepisforthetired · 10/07/2014 22:24

Just checking in - keep really happy for you :)

made if you are still reading - not sure what you are going through but from the previous posts I hope you have support, love, and strength as i am assuming you made need these things at this time xx

I know there were other posts I wanted to comment on - but a bit of a bad day so will read properly tomorrow.

Just a quick question before I go, is it the age score or the other one that is the risk probability from the screening letter? It's a different layout to my last pregnancy so not sure how to read it!!

ViviPru · 10/07/2014 22:39

I was in a private FB group when I was wedding planning. Nothing was ever visible on newsfeeds or whatnot. But you have to trust the admins not to ever make it publicly visible!

Sorry to hear you've had a bad day, sleep Sad

Man alive, sore nips today...

RPopz · 10/07/2014 22:50

You can make private facebook groups guys. Noone will see it or see you're in it or see any of the posts in it unless they are a member. I'm in a Just Shagging mumsnet one lol. Was a bit worried at first but it totally is secret. Be interesting to see what you all look like!!! Grin

Didn't know penis dragon was a real thing! I thought it was just a mumsnet-ism... resisting urge to google...

Sorry, can't remember who asked but its the risk factor you look at, not the age alone risk - that one is the same for every 25/ 35/ 45/ whatever year old. Most people's calculated risk is actually much lower x

RPopz · 10/07/2014 22:51

Sleep - it was you, sorry x

HenriettaTurkey · 10/07/2014 23:00

I'm definitely up for a poo factory private group. There's a private group on fb for mners from my last antenatal group (with DS).

It's lovely to see everyone's dc's when they're born and share stories/tips as you're all going through things at the same time.

cheshirem2b · 10/07/2014 23:23

made look after yourself and I hope you are Ok and get the support you need regardless of what you're going through.

Keep great news!

sunshineandbiscuits · 10/07/2014 23:34

keep that is wonderful, wonderful news. I'm really happy for you. Grin

katniss your DH sounds adorable, that was so thoughtful of him.

Have just finished packing for camping, feels like we are taking about half the house. I hate packing at the best of times, God knows what it will be like with a baby!

Thanks also for those who posted info on nappies, it was really useful. I'm sure this is a topic we'll return to closer to January!
