Well baby isn't happy today at all. Had some mild jabbings and cramps and now just done an unexpected vom (not been sick in 3 or more weeks). Thanks Pickle.

Oh dear Fancy I hope you're not coming down with something. That is a bit out of the blue.

DH just got home with pickled onions. I love that man! well he's forgiven for the double decker debacle anyway

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 22:13

Sorry, x-post with Barmy. I feel bad for saying something so trivial when you're going through this Mademoiselle. Hope you're getting some sleep xx

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 22:24

I'd just put the bins out. Maybe my stomach couldn't handle the smells.

How many pickled onions will you eat?

OP posts:
PolytheneGirl · 30/06/2014 22:26

I've already eaten half the jar but I've just put the lid back on. Might go straight to bed now and try not to think about them. Maybe if I don't brush my teeth that after taste will be enough?

PolytheneGirl · 30/06/2014 22:29

No DH has just told me I will definitely be brushing my teeth Sad

Is this domestic abuse? What about my neeeeeeeds!

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 22:35

My DH insists the same after I have marmite. All I want is the marmitey taste to linger in my mouth all night so that when I wake up I can still taste the savoury goodness. But NO. Get made to brush.

Do they not understand?!

OP posts:
PolytheneGirl · 30/06/2014 22:41

It's pretty damn obvious in this house that they don't!

Maybe you could keep some twiglets at the side of the bed?

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 22:46

Well the toothbrush karma fairy just got me. Went to brush my teeth post-vom and there's no flipping toothpaste!

Noooo!

freneticfox · 30/06/2014 23:59

I just spent an hour crying because I thought I dislocated my jaw eating a biscuit.

Hellooo hormones!

Spotti · 01/07/2014 06:27

Bleurgh, MS (aka vertical sickness in my case - because it only comes on when I'm vertical, I'm ok-ish when I lay down) has stepped up a notch today. No longer is it just a feeling, but an actual real life threat. Yuck. Marvellous timing too...I'm supposed to be out riding my pony this morning but at this rate I'm going to struggle to stand up, let alone muck out and then ride.

Grumbles about how the second trimester had better be better than this!

RetroHippy · 01/07/2014 07:30

Spotti, I get vertical nausea too! Mine is in the afternoon though, when I go from sitting to standing... Envy. I've been getting really headrushy too when I stand up, so don't know if it's blood pressure related? Not too concerned, but will ask about it at my next appt. Hope it goes away soon!

MademoiselleG · 01/07/2014 07:53

Ah fancy don't be silly, it's the trivial stuff that makes me laugh and cheers me up! And I get lots of fuzzy cuddles from everyone in between all the pickle talk so 's aaaall gooood Smile

Don't know what to do re:work though. Ideally I think I'd like to come in just to teach my lessons then go - do you think they'd let me?

toots123 · 01/07/2014 08:11

I feel human!!
last night before bed I felt shivery and achy. Sore head too. So got all snuggled in bed and got up 9 hours later. Feeling better but this sore heads still here. Think I need to start drinking more water.

works so busy that I couldnt possibly be off sick so im hoping I stay this way.

madem phone and ask. Nothing to lose. And if they expect more of you say you'll have a day at home to think about it x

fancyacupoftea · 01/07/2014 08:33

mademoiselle try and get a meeting with the head to talk things through and your options. Hopefully they'll be very supportive.

I have an early pregnancy antenatal class this morning. Wish me luck!

bellaboo88 · 01/07/2014 09:33

Fox

bellaboo88 · 01/07/2014 09:38

Oopsy! Fox what's that & how did u find out about it?

New meds were great, felt like a zombie & had a great sleep. Still can't face breakfast so its a cuppa & the biscuit tin.

Feel for u spotti, can't believe we all wished for this! I've a little Tupperware box full of biscuits (broken up ready to nibble). This goes everywhere with me now. I'm miles better when I eat & admittedly very often..little clementines are fab too. Xx

lindamagoo · 01/07/2014 09:48

What a fab sleep I had, everyone slept until 9 am an Jackson only woke once during the night Smile Feel like a new woman, although a little worried that I haven't felt baby move for a while but reading your post Poly has eased my worry a little Smile

PolytheneGirl · 01/07/2014 11:04

I feel terrible today. I've had no sleep for days and I'm exhausted, my back is aching and so is me head. I've burst into tears about 50 times already. I just need some sleep.

I'm going to drop DS at nursery school this afternoon then come home, and bugger the housework, I'm going to bed! Just wish it wasn't a 2 mile journey of dragging the little monkey to get him there. I'll be dead by the time I get home.

I have no idea how I'm going to cope when this baby arrives!

Sorry for the moan. Just feeling tired, achy and a bit blue today.

MademoiselleG · 01/07/2014 11:12

Glad to hear you're felling good linda but poly I feel for you: sleep deprivation really is a form of torture. It's awful.

How I wish we all loved close by and could actually physically help each other. Imagine what an amazing network this would be!

fancy I don't like my head. She's a very cold person and I don't want to get emotional in front of her. I've told both my line managers and ms at the gp's right now waiting for an appointment and to ask for advice. I'm fine in the classroom and am grateful for the work I have to do, would just prefer to have the flexibility to work from home when not teaching so that no one needs to be witnessing my breakdowns. I think it's more complicated than that though because of insurance issues when signed off and on work premises. Will ask.

MademoiselleG · 01/07/2014 11:13

Of course I know we all lOve, but I wish we all *lived close by Wink

freneticfox · 01/07/2014 11:30

bella, my midwife told me about it and sent an appointment through. It's nothing that isn't readily available elsewhere and mainly to insist we all have home births and breast feed.

Nothing special or revolutionary at all!

sazzlehopes · 01/07/2014 11:40

Hello all, I've missed a few days and you are all on another thread. Thanks so much to fancy for setting it all up.

Madam obviously I wanted to echo all the other thoughts on here. Massive hugs for what you are going through at the moment and sorry you are not any clearer after yesterday. Hope you get answers sooner than 20 weeks, it seems a long time to wait. And of course in this odd internet world we are all here for you.
