Yeah I think they are quite a common craving. I wouldn't hesitate to down that juice Grin

PolytheneGirl · 30/06/2014 20:37

Oh my goodness, that is so good!

I need help!

toots123 · 30/06/2014 20:39

Thats boy cravings poly.

I read somewhere plain white foods are girl cravings and pickled foods are boy cravings. Like everything, they aren't 100% full proof tho.

My cravings are plain white foods. And I already have a 'girl' feeling but could be wrong!

PolytheneGirl · 30/06/2014 20:43

Nah! I craved meringues with DS! It's all a load of poppycock!

Or is it? Confused

Spotti · 30/06/2014 20:44

How early on would those cravings apply? I've had very plain food cravings, but that could be due to the fact that plain stuff seems to be the only thing that's preventing me from throwing up...only 6+4 though so still early days!

toots123 · 30/06/2014 20:48

No idea spotti. Probs a lot of shite haha. Old wives tales and all that.

lindamagoo · 30/06/2014 20:50

I craved the pickles with both my boys but haven't even thought about them this time! Hmmmmmmm girl maybe? Smile

freneticfox · 30/06/2014 20:52

Speaking of cravings, just whizzed round Tesco for a few essentials and I wanted everything. They do these British dessert things every summer and they have cookies and cream cake. DH had to steer me away lest I cause a puddle with drool. I did manage to negotiate some chocolate digestives though.

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 20:52

Still sending lots of hugs to Mademoiselle.

I really want vinegar but (can't believe I'm saying this) I'm....not....hungry? No that can't be right. But I think it is. This is territory I'm unfamiliar with.

Girl for you linda haha.

anyone tested the nub theory? I know, I know. Probably crap but it keeps me occupied :)

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 21:00

Nub theory? What's that?

OP posts:
freneticfox · 30/06/2014 21:01

fancy - not hungry? What's that?!

freneticfox · 30/06/2014 21:04

Isn't the nub theory predicting sex at 12 weeks by the angle of the nub between baby's legs? Or am I completely imagining that?

toots123 · 30/06/2014 21:05

Thats the one fox :)

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 21:05

Just googled it. Would it be wrong to go and inspect my scan pic if I'm not going to find out at 20 weeks?

OP posts:
lindamagoo · 30/06/2014 21:05

I'm hoping I get the chance to test the nub theory when I get my scan on Thursday Smile Looked at my old scan pics but can't really see it clearly in them but the skull theory was right for them both

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 21:08

Couldn't see a nub. Anticlimax.

What's the skull theory?!

OP posts:
freneticfox · 30/06/2014 21:10

I'm going to be begging the sonographer to get a good nub shot at my dating scan :D

lindamagoo · 30/06/2014 21:12

If the skull is flat or sloped at the forehead they say it's a boy, if it's more rounded a girl and I think if the back of the skull is longer it's a boy too, but mines had flat and sloped foreheads

fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 21:16

Oooh in which case BOY

OP posts:
fancyacupoftea · 30/06/2014 21:17

WHY DOES MY BOY NOT HAVE A NUB?

OP posts:
lindamagoo · 30/06/2014 21:19

lol fancy my boys didn't have nubs either so this little monster better have Smile and a nice rounded forehead wouldn't go a miss either Smile

CallingAllEngels · 30/06/2014 21:25

Mlle I'm sorry to hear you're still in limbo. x

PolytheneGirl · 30/06/2014 21:47

Ooooh I am so relieved. I realised last night that I hadn't felt baby move for a while, maybe a day or so and I didn't notice anything all day today. But they are still just fluttery, bubbly type feelings ATM and easily missed. So glad that Baby has just had a wiggle. Smile

I don't know when you are supposed to worry at this stage, most women aren't feeling anything yet anyway. I'll have to ask the mw when I see her.

barmybunting · 30/06/2014 22:05

Mademoiselle, so sorry to hear you are still in limbo. Take leave from work, I think you need a break for some breathing space really. It is very hard to have to wait so long!
