Aw Poly I hope you get some rest, that's how I felt all last week but that one good night makes all the difference and you will cope when baby comes, us mums are superhuman after all Smile

Made that would be amazing if we had that close a network because I for one would love to chap your door and hug the life out of you right now Smile

sazzlehopes · 01/07/2014 11:44

Oh and I don't know if I'm late to the sling party/discussion but a friend had one of these and recommended. An easier looking wrap I feel?

Brilliant idea made! For example, we could have a rota of who is on "craving runs" and we could deliver food to each other. Dh is great but he doesnt understand the need for a certain food at a certain timw of the day.
We could also have taken polys ds to nursery this morning haha
brill idea. If only we were closer...

chillychicken · 01/07/2014 12:57

Toots my DH doesn't get the craving thing either. He bought me apples last night which was lovely but that was last weeks craving. This week it's fresh orange juice with a load of ice.

Treaclepie19 · 01/07/2014 13:09

I miss all you ladies!!!
Sorry to hear some of you are struggling.
Mademoiselle, take the time you need. My experience of going back and asking to do as little outside of teaching as possible was that they said they would support me and then instead piled it all on.

Put yourself first.

Spotti · 01/07/2014 14:53

So who's on the craving run this afternoon then? I'm fancying marmite on toast, warm cheese sandwiches (not hot, just as if they've been left in my bag until lunch time - cheese is all smushed in with the margarine...mmm weirdo) and also a B.E.S.T sandwich.

Seems I'm on a bread binge!

It would be absolutely lovely if we all lived closer and could help each other out...even if it's just by inviting everyone round for a [decaf] cuppa!

Maybe at some point in the future we should arrange a Dragon Meet-Up Grin.

Spotti · 01/07/2014 14:55

Mmm, just found the Cola Cubes I bought yesterday sat on the side in the kitchen. Yum yum. Remind me of being little and getting them from the local newsagents in a little paper bag. They might make me feel ill again but I don't care - they're too yummy to resist!

Treaclepie19 · 01/07/2014 15:37

Think it should be me Spotti!
Just had an hour and a half nap and followed it with salt and vinegar crisps, dairy milk and sprite zero.
This is alowed when you're pregnant but looked down on when you're not... I'm coming out in sympathy for you all :p

sazzlehopes · 01/07/2014 15:53

treacle maybe think of it as preparation? Like a sensible warm up for your body ;-)

Somebody needs to come over here and get me off ebay. I'm completely hooked looking for things....and I definitely should be working. Last week I got a nursing glider chair for a tenner! Wahoooo bargain. Frame is in excellent condition but the fabric needs to be covered but that is fine, gives me an excuse to pick a lovely fabric and get my upholster mate to do that!

I'm now searching baby carriers!!!!!!

lindamagoo · 01/07/2014 15:59

I'm totally in shock at myself! Just went to the shop to get something for dinner and came back with a load of stuff to make a lovely salad Smile I've ate nothing but crap for days so I'm guessing baby has had enough of that Smile

freneticfox · 01/07/2014 16:35

I have a question for those further along than me (most people I think...) I'm 8w today, or in other words, my period would have been due today. All afternoon I've had period-like cramps in my lower abdomen and lower back, along with some quite spectacular bloating, I look several months gone!

Is this normal/cause to run around the house flapping?

fancyacupoftea · 01/07/2014 16:43

Are you constipated Frenetic?

MY DREAMGENII HAS ARRIVED!!!! If you want me, I'll be in bed from now on.

freneticfox · 01/07/2014 16:50

fancy, I am a little.. Starting to think that may be my problem..

Spotti · 01/07/2014 16:50

I am so jealous fancy. I already have a 'body pillow' because I have a *
special pelvis that needs support cheers for that, slipped disc! but now I NEED a pillow that snuggles me all the way around...oooh, there's a u-shaped one on amazon - looks sooooo comfy, although MrSpottu would have to find his own bed because I think I'd take up all the room with that one (he already hates the body pillow even though he steals it in the middle of the night Wink )

PolytheneGirl · 01/07/2014 16:53

Fox I don know if it's just psychological but I had cramps for the first few weeks, I have had ewcm when I would normally ov every single month and at 8 wks when AF was due I had a tiny bit of spotting. I think that maybe your hormones get on a bit of an autopilot or something.

Hope your cramps settle down but if they get bad call your mw for reassurance.

fancyacupoftea · 01/07/2014 16:54

Get yourself some lactulose Frenetic! Over the counter, safe and non-explosive.

Oooh a U shaped one? I'm spooning it now, I'd so far rate it but the weakness is that I can't get my arm underneath to give it a proper hug.

PolytheneGirl · 01/07/2014 17:00

Omg! A woman just gave birth in Brum city centre, in the street, outside Primark! Classy! I've just jinxed myself haven't I!

PolytheneGirl · 01/07/2014 17:01

There was a crowd! Shock I would just die!

toots123 · 01/07/2014 17:41

Some please get me sausage rolls (yes, plural) was going to stop at greggs on the way home but didnt have any cash.

could someone also go to work for me tomorrow? I want it done with so we can have our scan.
Being a rebel today and not having a nap. Will report back on how it goes :)

toots123 · 01/07/2014 17:43

Just looked up dreamgenii and I want one. How much was it? Full review required fancy

who suggested a meet up? We are wide spread so maybe a conference call would be easier haha

RetroHippy · 01/07/2014 17:51

Do anyone else's craving conveniently seem to be everything that you've just seen a picture if/someone else eating/ heard about in conversation. I don't know I want things until someone mentions it, then I'm like.... Oh my word, I need a fab lolly and a pickled egg!

lindamagoo · 01/07/2014 17:51

omg how awful would that be having your baby and loads of strangers watching Shock

If we ever do have a RL get together can it be well after all the babies are here? I think we'll all deserve a good old piss up after all this Smile

toots123 · 01/07/2014 17:58

Yeah linda! We would have to go for a meal... since we all love food.

im going to a world buffet on Friday. Cannot wait

fancyacupoftea · 01/07/2014 18:09

Oh my god of all places... outside Primark on New Street! Urgh I wonder if she left a stain.

I have a jar of pickled eggs in the fridge Poly I'll fling you one.

Can we talk cm? Is anyone else quite... erm.... juicy?

Okay so had my dreamgenii nap. It was excellent for left side lying. However, I then wanted to turn around. I know the point is that you have to lie on your left but I think retraining myself will be hard!

OP posts:
freneticfox · 01/07/2014 18:36

fancy, juicy is one word to describe it! Glad I'm not the only one.

So fatigue has arrived, very suddenly. I've been hit by the tired bus apparently. Zzz.
