Wow, big baby for such an early one!

Ginge I was recommended these to help with sore nips. They're not cheap but I did find they made a bit of a difference for me and they're more discrete than the gigantic medela things!

HWHNN is at the terminal waiting to board so he'll be back home by tomorrow night Grin

Fankletastic · 31/08/2014 21:35

Bugs that is seriously terrifying

Yay for HWHNN' return

That's not good bugs. Poor parents.

Breastfeeding cafe was very useful. I need to let her head come back further (I underestimated how strong her neck is) and we've had some good latches. Some crap ones as well, but I'm making sure that I take her off and relatch.

TheOriginalWinkly · 02/09/2014 10:05

How's it been going since yesterday ginge? Hope the nips are healing.

How's everyone else? I am very tired today. Not helped by yodel delivering a parcel at 7am when MiniWink was actually asleep for a change. We have visitors coming at 1, I couldn't see them far enough today.

GingerScouse · 02/09/2014 11:25

Had a bit of a bad night as E was fussing a lot, making the latch a bit rubbish. She's a bit better now but we'll have to see. I still get pain on initial ley down but not during the feed. Off to another bf cafe today to meet one of my nct mums.

eurochick · 02/09/2014 15:07

Well done for getting out so soon, Ginge. I still haven't really managed it all that much, although I have had a lot of visitors at home.

I had my 6 week check with the consultant. It was fairly perfunctory and he seemed very pleased with his own handiwork (...) but I am now signed off to exercise (although no ab exercises for another 6 weeks ). It was C's first trip on public transport (train and tube) and into Central London. After much humming and hawing, I took the sling, which turned out to be a good decision as a very long escalator wasn't working. Getting around London single-handed with a buggy is hard. You are frequently defeated by stairs. I feel empathy with the daleks...

Fankletastic · 02/09/2014 18:03

You have my sympathy Euro. That was always my fear whilst living in London. But my miscarriage and subsequent infertility made those fears redundant. Mucho respect to you. congratulates self on moving to the north where housing is cheaper and public transport is buggy friendly

I'm off to Greece in the morning!! I intend to relax and enjoy this time without menkulling over everything. At 22 weeks and with a definite pronounced bump, I think it's safe to say I officially feel diffed!!!! Wowzers Grin

CuntyChops · 02/09/2014 21:40

Have a fab time Fank!

Fuck. GHJ collapsed yesterday evening. Found to have a perforated bowel and abscess. He's in theatre at the moment. Just come home with R who's thankfully passed out exhausted. Fuck. They don't know what it is but it might be a tumour. Fuck. And I thought he was just being a lazy bastard.

eurochick · 03/09/2014 14:32

Crikey, sinks, that sounds like a pretty big deal. When are you heading back to the hospital? Is there anything I/we can do except offer a handhold?

bugs that sounds sore. I'm horrified that anything bad could come of chewy sweets.

We are both a bit brain dead today after a sleepless night with C who seems to be on a feeding frenzy. KFZK took the brunt of it as I had a work thing this morning, but it was brutal.

FrankelandFilly · 03/09/2014 14:33

Oh god Sinks that's awful. I hope things improve rapidly, we're here for handholding.

Oh my goodness Sinks that's awful. I hope it's nothing too serious. Let us know if there's anything we can do.

bugs might be worth a trip to the dentist?

SinkyMalinks · 03/09/2014 14:54

Lost my reply when posting. Angry

Summary - head fried. Likely hysterical inlaws enroute. Splitting headache, prob dehydrated but can't face anything.

Consultant has promised to ring me when ghj's out of theatre. Not really sure when that'll be. They think he'll go to hdu or itu after. Fuck.

SinkyMalinks · 03/09/2014 14:58

A friend phoned after she missed me at a baby class, offering childcare if needed, which is great.

Can't face ringing people and having to explain everything though.

ALittleFaith · 03/09/2014 14:59

Leave it til you really know what's going on sinks. Give yourself some time.

Bloody hell sinks that's scary stuff. Do try to at least sip some water and nipple a biscuit or something. Hope GHJ makes a very speedy recovery

SinkyMalinks · 03/09/2014 15:37

I will do my very best to nipple a biscuit winks

TheOriginalWinkly · 03/09/2014 15:51
