sammyj85 · 18/06/2014 19:10

Mmmmmm fish finger and ketchup sandwich. Stodge heaven!

MademoiselleG · 18/06/2014 19:21

Ooh genius idea, I love fish fingers! (Added to shopping list).

Tonight it will be rare steak Grin with tsatziki. Yes, that's an acceptable meal.

fancyacupoftea · 18/06/2014 19:28

Mmmm fish finger sandwiches on fresh white bloomer. Mmmmmm.

And rare steak! And curry!

As punishment for my unhealthy dinner I'm now in bed trying not to vom.

Scan at 10:15 tomorrow. Eeeek nervous/excited! Isn't someone else tomorrow too?

PolytheneGirl · 18/06/2014 19:41

Mmmmmm I love a fish finger sandwich!

Good luck with the scan Fancy fx.

I also love rare steak and tzatziki!

Let's face it....... I just love food!

fancyacupoftea · 18/06/2014 19:43

Thanks Poly.

I hope all goes well as ordered maternity trousers from asos. Oops.

I think we ALL love food!

PolytheneGirl · 18/06/2014 19:46

I'm sooooooooo hungry, I'm waiting for my curry to arrive but finding it hard to resist the crisps I know are in the kitchen! Wait for the popadoms Poly..... The POPADOMS!

Spotti · 18/06/2014 19:50

Popadoms are most definitely one of the best bits about having a curry!

OP posts:
sammyj85 · 18/06/2014 19:54

Poppadoms were yesterday's tea!

fancyacupoftea · 18/06/2014 20:04

mmmmm poppadoms with lime pickle. Mmmm lime pickle.

On the Jan thread they're discussing whether or not to attend NCT courses. And we are still talking about food.

I laugh constantly with this thread!

fancyacupoftea · 18/06/2014 20:06

Although nobody eats as much as my husband. He had gammon, 2 eggs and jacket potato for dinner. Followed by an apple. He was then still hungry so had a bowl of cereal. Then came a large blueberry pancake smeared with peanut butter. I thought he MUST be done but have heard the distinct rustling from the living room of crisps. He said "but I'm hungry!"

MademoiselleG · 18/06/2014 20:13

That is a lot of food fancy!

I love that we talk about food. Tzatziki is now ready, dh is about to make steak (he's much better at it than I am!) and I've also rediscovered the joys of fried halloumi as a pre-dinner snack. SQUEAKY CHEESE!!

freneticfox · 18/06/2014 20:41

I have more Pringles, the world is OK again.

PolytheneGirl · 18/06/2014 20:47

Ppppppha! I now look 9 months gone! I don't think I can move! not that I want to

PolytheneGirl · 18/06/2014 20:48

And baby is off wiggling again! I think she loves food too!

Knottyknitter · 18/06/2014 20:50

Ooh squeaky cheese, not had that for ages! Had a bit of a thing for halloumi last year and got a bit overdone, but may have to revisit (have you tried it with sweet chilli sauce?)

I've been turning to crumbly cheese, with onion jam (this week wendsleydale and Lancashire) well Gromit was born in bristol....

Had a miserable day at work, glad to have a tutorial tomorrow so at least I might be out of the consulting room before the sun comes round and makes it a sauna. DP gone to bed to watch the football, so I have an evening of big screen property-porn and one born .Grin

Knottyknitter · 18/06/2014 20:52

poly I'm so jealous. I'm really not that far behind you and the only flutterings I'm getting are a premonition of noxious gas emissions!

Got my first nct magazine today, looking forward to the classes already, but wish it was all of us!

freneticfox · 18/06/2014 21:01

I'e never seen OBEM, worth a watch?

fancyacupoftea · 18/06/2014 21:02

How far ahead did you book the class Knotty?

Poly it's the polite thing to do to describe your whole Indian meal tonight. Share.

PolytheneGirl · 18/06/2014 21:02

Thanks for the OBEM reminder.

I'm very lucky with the wiggling. Didn't feel anything till 16 wks last time but I think it's common to feel it earlier in subsequent pregnancies.

fancyacupoftea · 18/06/2014 21:02

Yes Frenetic! It's not actually that scary as a preggo because you can see what fab support the mothers get (alongside the horrific pain of course).

freneticfox · 18/06/2014 21:04

I've been gagging (terrible pun there...) to give it a watch, but DH is massively sceptical and reaches for the Sopranos every time I suggest it!

Knottyknitter · 18/06/2014 21:09

Well I have a vested interest in that I'm booked at Southmead!

I worked in O&G for a while too, so I quite like it. DP won't watch it! Shame as I'd like to desensitise him to some bits before our big day Grin

sazzlehopes · 18/06/2014 21:10

Oh my I love the food chat on here, it all gets a bit serious on the 'proper' threads. It's a right laff on here though.
And those waiting for movements don't panic...I didn't feel anything til 22weeks with my first and only 20 weeks this time, I have an anterior placenta apaz which means feeling things is harder....and really it shouldn't have been - I mean you've all seen the size of my belly now right??!!

PolytheneGirl · 18/06/2014 21:11

I had Vegi Pakoras to start followed by a lovely Haydabadi Khana Lamb, which was lovely and gingery but could have been hotter , with Pilau Rice and a garlic naan. Oh and 3 popadoms with onion salad and mint yogurt.

I did not hold back! I bet I smell delightful now! Wink
