Hurrah, Mini! Such great news. Smile

Good luck ikkle, saras and MrsMcG! Lots of scans today!

Ikkleme · 16/06/2014 12:33

So had my early scanned baby is just a blob was moving about and had a heartbeat... Such a relief! Been put back a few days and dating scan has been put back a week so 4 weeks today to see a real baby and not something the my dp described as a rat lol

sleepisforthetired · 16/06/2014 12:34

Had a massive amount of catch up reading to do - yay for the scans!

I finally have mine through - 26th June. Will be about 12+6 so hoping we're not too far off estimate dates :)

I made a faux pas yesterday. Took DS on a roller-coaster - I just didn't think. He is tall enough for the "middle" rides, which is basically a introduction to the roller coasters - a bit faster than the normal children rides, but not full throttle either.

I don't feel as crap as I have done, nor do my boobs hurt as much today - but hoping this has more to do with being into the 11th week. Cant believe I didn't think of the potential risks make DP go on the rides. DP hates these types of things, but between the two of us would have been far more suited.

Great news on your scans!
It is rubbish I have to wait so long to go to epu I didn't expect an appointment today but did think it would be before thurs

Ikkleme · 16/06/2014 12:54

Gingy i called midwife on Thursday and got seen at a hospital the other end of the district today, I don't think they have much time operating a episode clinic my local ones only seem to do it for 3 hrs on a morning x

ViviPru · 16/06/2014 12:58

Sleep my Mum went on all the white knuckle rides and rollercoasters at our local funfair when she was 3 months gone with me and I turned out alright which may or may not be debatable.

Minibagel · 16/06/2014 13:04

Yay for the wiggly bean Ikkle! I hope the nickname doesn't stick. When ours came up on the screen it looked like a blob at first and I was disappointes because I thought by 9+ weeks it looks like a baby, but then she scanned from a different angle and we got the cutest sight of them and their legs and arm stumps! I think I'm properly over the shock now, and can actually get excited. Might even look online at double buggies later for the new baby and our ds1 eek. Not twins. Am massively relieved tbh!

Aw Mini you totally had me going there, lol

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 13:12

Just saw double buggie and got all excited Smile

Minibagel · 16/06/2014 13:13

I did think thats what you might have thought, so I felt the need to clarify!!!

Minibagel · 16/06/2014 13:14

I think the odds are there will be at least one set of twins in this birth group, aren't there? Anyone got any niggly feelings they might be having multiples?

ChineseFireball · 16/06/2014 13:28

Wonderful news about the scans :)

I don't have any reason to think that we are having twins, but there is a little part of me that hopes it might be. I'd really like 3 (or more!) children but DH isn't sold. He wants to stop at 2. So twins would sort that out nicely for me, I'd say...!

I'm working from home today but have been awake since DS grizzled in his sleep (didn't wake up though!) at 3.30am so I'm just about feeling ready for a nap. I ordered some maternity clothes from Next yesterday and they have texted to say the parcels have arrived at my local store so I might just pop out and pick those up to see if that wakes me up not going to stop at McDonalds for a milkshake no not me so I can get my work done.

When that's finished I've got some housework to do as my cousin is coming to stay for a few days from tomorrow. I don't want her to realise what a slattern I am...

Scan tomorrow at 9.50am eeeek!

12+2

cheshirem2b · 16/06/2014 13:43

Exciting news for the scans ladies! Glad it's been a good day! Smile
I'm in work today - been to Court and lost a trial this morning... all part of the course! Feeling a bit tired still but able to function better than I was a few weeks ago - 3 sleeps until scan day! woohoo!

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 13:46

Talking of twins I just had a surprise visit from oh's dm and she had my twin nephews with her, they are absolutely gorgeous but I'll never know who is who, lol

halfdoneharris · 16/06/2014 14:06

My sil in law is expecting twins this summer, and other sil is due 3 weeks before me with a single baby so hopefully this one won't be twins too as not sure the gps can cope with having 5 new gc in the space of 4 months!

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 14:22

My SIL's twins were a shock to her system! She didn't want another baby, she has a 12 year old DD, she took the morning after pill and it clearly never worked Smile She wouldn't change it for the world now though, they are amazing little boys

KeepOnPloddingOn · 16/06/2014 15:33

I have to admit I will be relieved to see just one little baby at my scan next monday, not 2! I already have a dd at 14 months and twins would probably send me over the edge haha. I found one hard work! Never mind 2, well 3! But it would also be a blessing and I am sure I would grow accustomed to the idea and manage - I guess you have to! Twins run in my family and as I am already showing people are teasing me it is twins... Gulp ,..

KeepOnPloddingOn · 16/06/2014 15:34

Glad all went well at scans iklle and mini :)

Emmie10 · 16/06/2014 15:52

Been following for a few weeks but ready to jump in! I am 7+5 so way behind most of you and still no scan date through. Had an early scan due to some bleeding last Friday and all looks as it should. Apparently the cause of bleeding is some separation between the sac and uterus so on strict bed rest to let it heal. This will be my second, dd is 14 months.

Minibagel · 16/06/2014 16:13

Welcome Emmie glad you are taking it easy. That must be tricky with a toddler, how are you coping?

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 16:28

Welcome Emmie, hope your managing to get some rest, must be hard with a little one

Loobyloo893 · 16/06/2014 16:30

Welcome emmie. I'm 8+ 4 so not far ahead of you.

blizy · 16/06/2014 16:38

Welcome emmie, I. Around 7 weeks so we are roughly the same.

Monstamio · 16/06/2014 16:55

Congratulations on the positive scans Looking, Ikkle and Mini!

And welcome Emmie!

Just two days to go until my scan. Starting to worry about it a bit, but fx all will be ok still. No twins here, unless one was hiding at the last scan!
