Looby- my midwife said I had to use info from my 12 weeks scan on my application, before sending off for them exemption card... So effectively it is impossible to request prior to 12 weeks? Appararntly! I am surviving on adsas own brand today ... It isn't as good! Anyway, hopefully it may subside for a day or 2 now... Please!?

Iklle- good luck x

Maybe they want an accurate EDD. My mw just went from last period and I remember doing it at booking in with DS too. Maybe phone gp and check as they can sign it for you, it doesn't have to be a midwife.

Minibagel · 15/06/2014 20:31

I think its different everywhere. I didn't fill out anything ans my maternity exemption certificate arrived within a few days of my booking in appointment. Not that I used the one for my ds1 once, I am rarely ill. But then I got that uti with this baby at 8 weeks and so have already used it. I can see why some mw might be cautious about applying before 12 weeks because of the high rate of miscarriage, but imagine if they found out you used your card when you were no longer pregnant! I'd be so upset, its not worth it. It says on it you have to return it if you miscarry unless its a after 24 weeks when a loss it classed as a stillbirth and then you keep it. You can extend it if the due date is wrong after your 12 week scan.

(Or if your baby is late)

Feel like my tiredness and sickness are worsening. Already in bed after retching lots this evening. I'm 10+3. Was expecting this to pass by now, especially as I felt much better a week ago

RPopz · 15/06/2014 20:47

I'm 11 on Monday and I'm sure I felt better a week ago than I do now! Went to bed at half 9 last night and am already debating whether its too early for bed tonight! Wink

KeepOnPloddingOn · 15/06/2014 20:53

Thanks looby - they don't even give the forms out here until your 16 week appointment im sure she said...? Apparantly its a new policy though. Never mindy.

I am 11+3 and a week ago I am sure I was feeling better too! I will be really miserable if this indigestion is a permanent fixture in this pregnancy ... I had none in my last one! Its awful :( aaaah.

cheshirem2b · 15/06/2014 21:24

Anybody still on loo roll watch? It's so stressful! I has just convinced there was blood when I wiped but showed DH (bless him) and there's not! Roll on Thursday and hopefully I can relax a bit!

lindamagoo · 15/06/2014 21:36

I'm on constant loo roll watch, mostly cause I'm still getting the odd bit of spotting, hardly sleeping for going to the loo to check all night Hmm

j200 · 15/06/2014 21:36

I'm still on loo roll watch, had some stringy white discharge two days ago that made me freak out! Confused

Uhh in bed feeling so sick, worse after eating so think it's due to my non function ing digestive system. Might ask midwife as just feel so sick!

10+1 or 10+5 (scan size date v my dates)

RPopz · 15/06/2014 21:57

I'm not regularly crotch watching much anymore although any type of crampy feeling sends me rushing to the loo to inspect! Blush

cheshirem2b · 15/06/2014 22:00

Glad I'm not he only one! Wink

Hope those feeling poorly still start to feel better. I'm feeling a bit sicky tonight but I went for afternoon tea today with some friends and ate LOADS of cake so think that has something to do with it! Shock hid pg from them today as none of us drinking but seeing them again next week and (fx) be able to tell them about smudgy!!!

LuluJakey1 · 15/06/2014 22:20

cheshire I did the same thing for weeks. DH was very tolerant, bless him, as he would see me arriving in the bedroom/ sitting room/ kitchen or study with yet another piece of loo roll for him to offer his expert opinion on.

I have realised I stopped this last weekend! I have just asked DH if he had noticed I had stopped. Answer 'Yes but I didn't mention it incase you started again!' Grin

cheshirem2b · 15/06/2014 22:42

Lulu! That's made me smile! That's the first time I've asked dh...I was convinced! Been again and nothing there... relax!
Hope everyone gets a good night's sleep!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 16/06/2014 06:30

Morning all!
How is everyone today? It is a week today until my scan! I am 11+4 :)

MrsMcG14 · 16/06/2014 06:40

Hope you all slept well, i've not had the best! Have been climbing the walls! I've got my scan this morning! Feeling excited, nervous, scared. Have managed 3 hours or so of sleep. DH is super chilled, which is helpful/not helpful?!

MrsMcG good luck with your scan today. Try and get a wee nap later or an early night. I had an early night last night but my youngest ds decided he didn't need much sleep so he was awake loads, surprisingly feeling not too bad this morning on such little sleep

KeepOnPloddingOn · 16/06/2014 07:16

I haven't slept well since getting pregnant again- nor has my dd! I just tell myself it is preparing me for the newborn phase! Haha. ;)

Good luck mrsmcg

blizy · 16/06/2014 07:37

Good luck MrsMG.

Minibagel · 16/06/2014 07:50

Good luck all the scan ladies today, I'll be back later this morning to report on mine which is at 9.40. I woke up this morning with stomach cramps and thought crap! But then it was a nervous poo type pain (sorry tmi) Why do I always get this when I'm nervous?!

lindamagoo · 16/06/2014 07:52

Good luck Mini Smile I'm the same with the nervous toilet habit, not nice

Ikkleme · 16/06/2014 07:53

Eek so nervous this morning has totally dragged! Wish i could get ready for work this quickly everyday... Have 25 min to wait until DP gets back from work and we go for scan ??

j200 · 16/06/2014 07:55

Good luck ladies, everything crossed for you both! X
