Feeling a bit better about lack of symptoms! Got bf's doppler and after a while I picked up a heart rate of 147 bpm Smile

Starbright24 · 15/06/2014 14:24

Aww..that's lovely linda. My symptoms decreasing too. Wish I had a heart beat monitor to check.

sunshineandbiscuits · 15/06/2014 14:42

Yay linda and looking. That's good news Smile

rumisyum · 15/06/2014 14:59

Hurrah looking! What excellent news for you and your mum. Smile

Aw man, linda, that sounds amazing. I wish I could get my hands on one of those!

I'm feeling cheered by those of you in week 11 who are feeling better. Mid week 9 here and I am just so tired of feeling grumpy and tired. Rock on next few weeks!

Minibagel · 15/06/2014 15:57

One more sleep until our early scan 9+5. Today Dh and I drove to the hospital as it's a new one for us, to make sure we knew where the scan bit was and where we could park. Feeling very nervous, but it's a 9.40 am appointment so I know I'll be put out of my 'misery' soon! Is there a baby in there? We shall see!

Mslad · 15/06/2014 15:58

Hello all, hope you're having a nice weekend. We had friends visiting which helped take my mind off the anxieties of scan week.

I'm so sorry we had some bad news, & fix crossed for us all over the next few weeks.

Linda or anyone else with dopple experience, is it quite hard to find the heartbeat? I have a midwife app tomorrow & scan on Tuesday. I would love to hear the heartbeat tomorrow to ease the nerves a little for Tuesday. But I read somewhere that before 12 weeks there's only 50% chance of hearing the heartbeat. Do you think that's correct, and if so should I not bother trying it tomorrow to save myself a possible 24 hours of further worry if the hb isn't detected tomorrow? (Hope that question makes sense, it does in my head.....)

mummyk8 · 15/06/2014 16:15

Ug, tummy ache and cramps for the last hour. Praying it's a tummy bug but I'm really just not feeling right at all. Just me and DS here today so trying not to stress to much. Sad

lindamagoo · 15/06/2014 16:44

Mslad it's very difficult to pick up this early, I tried for ages before getting it and I haven't actually heard the heartbeat because the bpm only flashes up for a split second then it's gone, baby has to be much bigger before you can actually listen to it but it's still reassuring when you see the numbers flash up

lindamagoo · 15/06/2014 16:44

I would wait until the scan, that way it'll be much more reassuring for you

lindamagoo · 15/06/2014 16:45

mummy I hope your ok and it's nothing to worry about

Minibagel · 15/06/2014 17:04

mslad my mw wouldn't even look for the hb before 16 weeks and even then some mw won't find it, so I wouldn't stress yourself out. I decided not to buy a Doppler with ds1 as I knew I'd be on it every day and worrying myself. My mw advises against pregnant women getting them. If later on in your pg you have lack of movement he first port of call is pregnancy day care.

MightyQuin1201 · 15/06/2014 17:35

Hi J200
I did try a few places on Friday and everywhere seems to be booked up or really bad timings in regards to work- I'm off on a week long work trip to the US next Saturday & really wanted a scan before I went away.

Mslad · 15/06/2014 18:05

Thanks so much for the advice Linda & mini - much appreciated! I'll definitely wait for my scan on Tuesday.

Time feels like it's slowed down even more, the closer it gets to the scan....Angry

KeepOnPloddingOn · 15/06/2014 19:11

I have had awful indigestion all day today: I have never suffered it before so was unsure why it was when I first experienced it a couple of weeks ago. To all the ladies worryin about sore stomachs- try gaviscon just incase it is just indigestion like mine!

blizy · 15/06/2014 19:21

Keepon, I've been having heartburn/indigestion after every meal for a few weeks now, if it keeps up I will be taking out gaviscon shares!

Dec2013mummy · 15/06/2014 19:50

For those with heartburn, make sure you go to the docs to save you some pennies. I got a prescription with Ds and it's obviously free with the maternity exemption card :)

I keep thinking I feel better and then suddenly feel a million times worse! I feel so sick I actually want to die... and suddenly it's worse in the evenings now, just to shake things up a bit! Sad

Hugs to those worrying x Thanks Brew x

Loobyloo893 · 15/06/2014 19:53

Evening all. Feel so rough today. Not sure if this is just the morning sickness taking over or if I've caught DS sickness bug. Either way, I've been sick about 8 times today and feel horrible. Bleurgh!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 15/06/2014 19:56

Urgh blizy it is horrid isnt it? U have had zero heartburn, but the indigestion is awful. Its very uncomfortable and makes me feel very sick. My dad has had it go years and now I know what he has to endure... I really hope it passes ..

Fizzy drinks (which I never used to drink!) and spicy foods are a craving at times - but I have to try and avoid. Anything you noticed that triggers it?

KeepOnPloddingOn · 15/06/2014 19:59

dec thankyou! We cannot apply until 12 weeks for it though according to my midiwife? Due to people busing hen after a miscarriage (her words!) I shall apply then for definite - this indigestion is chronic!

rpopz and looby I feel your pain! I though all this had passed ... Wrong!

KeepOnPloddingOn · 15/06/2014 19:59

*abusing them

Argh hate using this effing phone i tell thee!

Ikkleme · 15/06/2014 20:07

Feeling so nervous got early scan n morning and trying to revise for an exam I have on Wednesday! Early scan is because I had cramping last week, in all fairness since my cramps I have had no pg symptoms, hoping for positivity tomorrow I'll be on cloud nine knowing everything is ok and not just a thought

RPopz · 15/06/2014 20:08

Haha KeepOn I felt amazing on Thursday, thought it was in the magical 10 weeks no sickness stage! Apparently not... Wink

That's a shame about your exemption application! Though weirdly the midwives never mentioned it to me at all. I only found out about it on this thread and then when I last went to the gp she gave me the exemption forms after prescribing me some antibiotics.

Loobyloo893 · 15/06/2014 20:09

I applied for mine at booking in appt. someone did tell me that if you keep receipts of prescriptions you can get refunded once your exemption card comes in.
Or just tick the box and pretend you've lost ur card if they ask. I don't think I showed it once with DS, they never asked to see it Smile

RPopz · 15/06/2014 20:09

Good luck for tomorrow and Wednesday Ikkle x
