Welcome to the 9th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed. :-)

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 24th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

For those not in the know, a viroid is an autocorrected version of 'ladies' from the 1st JS thread, which then stuck.

So, roll call below please, viroids. :-)

Wow min, jealous much! That all sounds amazing, you aren't going to want to come home! In comparison I am sat at my desk, breakfast-less, wondering if the shop is open yet and if I can get a yoghurt to eat in front of my screen.

I do not want to be here today. I am ready for maternity leave! My office is next to the nursery and I can hear all the little ones turning up for the day. So cute! Except the ones that cry and don't want to go.

DH going away with work this week - Mon-Thurs. I am going to be so lonely!

Thanks for the advice popz, I gave it a quick go and was unsuccessful but will try properly again this week. Will try print off some idiot guides too!

wilhelmeaner · 16/06/2014 08:54

Aw Dulcet you sound a bit blue. Have Cake and Brew. Do you start work at 8?

Min it sounds amazing - apart from the weather. Italy in June should = sunshine so I hope it arrives soon. We actually have some today so praying it stays around.

Noisy vtech toys and tv Rpopz. They look after the small person Wink.

DulcetMoans · 16/06/2014 09:13

Thanks wil, I do sound a bit dreary, don't I? I am ok. Just a bit down today. I'll be fine in an hour. The good news is, the shop was open so now I have a yoghurt!

JuniDD · 16/06/2014 09:24

min that sounds amazing! Hope the weather cheers up, can't believe it's crap, went to Rome in May once it was boiling!

dulcet glad you've got food. Really recommend you tube vids, helped me loads with knitting.

Hayfever is so bad today think I must be doing 100s of pelvic floor clenches a day! Grin

JuniDD · 16/06/2014 11:59

I am five months on Saturday and no one at work has guessed/asked me yet!! I need to email my managers as want to start leave soon. Don't wanna! Someone give me a boot up the are to tell them Grin

HungryHorace · 16/06/2014 12:08

As long as you tell them by 25 weeks!

I'm impressed you've kept it quiet for so long.

I hope you had more than a yoghurt for breakfast, Dulcet. I'd be starving just having that!

JuniDD · 16/06/2014 12:11

Indeed. But I think I would like some half days for ante natal classes. oh the inner conflict! Wink Wink

How you enjoying mat leave Horace?

I am so hungry all the time now and can't think of stuff to fill me up Sad

DulcetMoans · 16/06/2014 12:14

Yeah, that's an achievement juni. You must look good, or have a flattering wardrobe at least!

That is what I normally have for breakfast horace but I snack on fruit after 10am.

So my feeling slightly down earlier has turned into mild anxiety. I have managed to convince myself there is something wrong and I am at work having an internal melt down. I don't actually suffer from any actual anxiety related... things... I think a series of bad dreams and bad thoughts have just become very big in my mind!

wilhelmeaner · 16/06/2014 13:31

Oh that's crap Dulcet. It's all out of your hands and control at this stage so try to just let go of all the stressy thoughts and tell yourself that if there is something wrong, you can deal with it as it arises. There is no point working yourself up just in case. The odds are in your favour. Thanks

Yeah tell them now Juni in case the 25 week mark creeps up on you. When do you want to start leave? Also, they'll probably appreciate having more notice. I met someone last week who was due next month and with the top she was wearing, you couldn't even tell she was pregnant. Ha, at 8 months last time I looked like I had a beach ball shoved down my dress, could not even have hidden it with a tent. I think it's easier to hide it if you're tall. And count yourself lucky regarding the sneezing. After you've had the baby you'll also have the added worry of if you're going to wet yourself every time you sneeze Grin.

HungryHorace · 16/06/2014 13:34

I did that in both this and last pregnancies, Dulcet. It's normal, if frustrating. Worry is entirely natural. And I'm sure probably worse when your journey has been so long to get to your BFP.

I snack on fruit too. But after 3 Weetabix for breakfast! I need carbs!

I'm loving mat leave, thanks, Juni. :-)

Is there any reason you're not telling work? When do they need your MATB1 by? You may as well just go for it really. Especially if you want some leave!

DulcetMoans · 16/06/2014 14:23

I know you have to tell work juni but I would be tempted to try and see how long it would take them to say anything! Could you get all the way to the last day without it being mentioned?!

Thanks both. DH is annoyed at me for stressing now too but I can't help my brain going round and round! Just ened to get out of work, might make me feel better!

JuniDD · 16/06/2014 14:34

Thanks peeps, gonna email now. It just feels very private and I don't really like the idea of people I don't like much knowing about it. Or any people we haven't chosen to tell. Complicated feelings! Confused

dulcet sorry abt the anxiety, keep breathing and try to distract yourself with more food! xx

HungryHorace · 16/06/2014 18:14

What did they say, Juni?

I had my MW appt today. I'm measuring 4 weeks ahead but MW wasn't worried as baby feels big too.

Because I have pelvic pain she may refer me back to the consultant to have a 38 weeks section instead of 39. It depends how I am next time she sees me in 2 weeks' time.

Oh, and baby is still breech, so it's a head, not a bum, sticking out of the right of my bump! Explains why (s)he can push so hard into my hip / pelvis as it's feet not hands down there.

OP posts:
RPopz · 16/06/2014 18:25

Hope you're ok Dulce is the anxiety related to DH going away maybe? Mr Rpopz has been on a couple of nights out recently where I wouldn't have been able to contact him easily if I'd wanted to - and each time I had a mini mc meltdown... Hugs and Brew

Juni I'm amazed you've kept it quiet this long!! There's rumours about me at work already and I think I've been pretty discrete (plus am not showing yet obvs). Hope telling them goes ok anyway - I agree they'll probably appreciate extra notice.

Hope the sun came out for you today Min! Smile

RPopz · 16/06/2014 18:35

Just bought my first baby thing!!?!?! Shock Shock Aaaaarggghhh....

Nessalina · 16/06/2014 18:56

Hey all Smile
Busy threads today!

Ha! You caved Rpopz! Grin What did you get?!

Glad you're having fun despite the rain Min! I'd love to go to Florence, it looks beautiful! Take it easy though - DH was dragging me round town the other day, and I'm like 'hello! I'm pregnant! I move slower and get more tired more quickly than I used to'. I will say a prayer to the sun gods for you Smile

Chin up Dulcet, it's hard not to panic, but try and think zen thoughts! I'm doing a lot of focusing on happy thoughts, and where I find I'm worrying, I just try and think that it's all out of my hands - whether I worry or not, the outcome will be the same, so why worry? It's working about 50% of the time I reckon Wink

I feel your pain re: work though. God it's so hard to care about work!! I've got my half year review in about two weeks, and because I'm not there at year end my rating will stand, so it's important I get a good one. But after that? I can't imagine what'll motivate me to get out of bed!!

Is anyone else doing pelvic floor exercises?! I keep forgetting, I've probably only done them about 5 times. My fanjo is doomed.

RPopz · 16/06/2014 19:31

One of DH's work friends who's on maternity leave was selling off some baby bits. Most of it was pink unfort! But have bought a Cabcoo sling off her for 20 quid. No idea if its a pile of crap or not but they're 60 in John Lewis!! Hopefully it'll be ok, was definitely wanting a sling of some kind anyway as the spaniel dog is not going to be a walking nicely next to the pram type of boy! So hopefully a bargain.

Feels a bit real and serious now!! Grin

I'm not going to hear the end of it if I don't do some pelvic floors... my Mum's job relates to all that sort of stuff and she's obsessed!!

Minion · 16/06/2014 20:14

Ciao bellas!
Well the sun came out this arvo, bloody glorious it was, still warm now, and we've just whacked on the BBQ so all good in the hood (vineyard).
Completely over exerted myself (totally worth it though) by going up the leaning tower of Pisa.
Man was I fooked by the top. But it's another unesco ticked off the list!
Supposed to be lush tomorrow so it's a stay by the pool/villa day then off to Siena and Florence again later on in the week.
It's been so relaxing (apart from the walking) and surprised how cheap it's been.. 1 small glass of wine and a Nutella cake... 1 euro 90!
Bargainous indeed...

FurryScoob · 16/06/2014 20:22

Evening viroids
min hope you found the sunshine today, Florence sounds lovely.
Hope your feeling better dulcet anxiety seems to be part of pregnancy even if its not normally something you suffer with.

I've had a really shit week at work, confronted my boss about the shingles to be told me, the midwife & all advise I've had from the hospital is wrong, I can't possible catch anything from this other lady. I had been doing 2 people's jobs for 1 wage but I've now decided bollocks to them & I'm doing my job only.

Anyone booked any antenatal classes, there are no NHS ones here so I'm not sure what to do. Confused

FurryScoob · 16/06/2014 20:26

Envy Envy Envy your holiday sounds bloody lovely minion any chance we can all jump on a plane & gatecrash your relaxing day round the pool?

Minion · 16/06/2014 20:36

Ai furry c'mon over. Bring a sunbed tho as there's only two. Oh, and don't forget the sat nav, who knows where you'd end up without one (not in the mountains when it tells you to turn left and you go right, eh, husband of mine?).

wilhelmeaner · 16/06/2014 20:48

Min your holiday sounds amazing.

Can't believe there aren't NHS ones Furry. What kind of thing do you want? Am sure NCT will do factual based ones. There is a company called 'Lazy Daisy' who do "Active Birthing" ones. I know someone who goes to their baby classes and likes them but don't have any reviews of the birthing ones. I don't know if I'll do NHS ones this time, probably not much point doing it twice?

RPopz go and put your puppy in the sling and see if it's any good. I need some recommendations Grin.

RPopz · 16/06/2014 21:14

Nutella cake!?! Oh god I need some of that!

Haha Wil she's posting me it so I'll have to let you know Wink Grin Seems to have some good reviews online though. x

DulcetMoans · 16/06/2014 21:43

I also need to know what nutella cake is min! Not a massive fan of nutella but at the moment I feel I need to try it! Hopeful for your relaxing day tomorrow.

I hear very positive things about the NCT classes furry. As much for the support after the baby is born as for the classes. Pain that all the NHS ones are booked though. Midwife told me to do them quick so I have had my booking forms back over the weekend but I have heard they get oversubscribed.

Thanks for the reassurances viroids. I think it is all pregnancy related - a symptom in itself! I am a bit over emotional which is not normal for me at all. Feel better in my own home.

JuniDD · 16/06/2014 21:45

Hello, work were very nice. I had a quick meeting with one manager who said the most important thing was that I look after myself. Smile

I am rapidly turning into the ante natal class queen. I've booked NCT, mainly for MrJuni who reckons he'll ask me anything he needs to know. He doesn't know what he needs to know, FOOL! I've also booked Lazy Daisy which I understand is more of an exercise class but the instructors often do couples workshops and stuff. I'll probably also go to NHS classes for completeness but I can well imagine it'll be an hour of "stop smoking! stop drinking! breastfeed!" given some of the issues in the area. (they find me rather exotic and extraordinary as I talk "posh" and know words like "obstretic". NOT A JOKE)
