Welcome to the 9th grads thread...celebrating the success of Just Shagging in getting us viroids upduffed. :-)

The thread we have graduated from is here in its 24th outing!

There is also a Just Mumming thread in postnatal once your babies come along, or to keep up with the graduated graduates!

For those not in the know, a viroid is an autocorrected version of 'ladies' from the 1st JS thread, which then stuck.

So, roll call below please, viroids. :-)

I don't work many weekends so I'm not usually the boss Wink Most people expect to be sent home early on a weekend anyway.

Finishing at 6 Dulce and then on to Tesco! (rock!). Its not very sunny here today though so I'm not really missing out Smile

Nessalina · 14/06/2014 19:28

Well Mothercare was interesting! I told the lady that I was looking for nursing bras, and she said 'oh no, we don't measure for those until 37 weeks'. So she measured me up as a 36J good grief!, and then she said 'ah, well we actually only do 36Js in our nursing bra range' Grin

RPopz · 14/06/2014 19:33

Bloody hell Ness! Shock

wilhelmeaner · 14/06/2014 20:13

Hahaha! That's crazy. Did it fit? I never trust those bra measuring people, they always give me the wrong size.

RPopz · 14/06/2014 20:21

What size were you before!? I can't even comprehend a J cup... Wink Blush My bra's been really digging in today - after all my bitching about needing underwire the other day.

My worse in the morning sickness has turned into worse in the evening sickness.... waaaah Sad Mr Rpopz is making us watch the football... double waaah!!

How's the crochet going Dulce?

Nessalina · 14/06/2014 20:54

I started out as a 34DD!
The bra felt pretty good, but didn't feel like I was getting much more support than my current preggo bra (a Triumph no-wire 34H) so didn't go ahead and buy yet. £28 for two which isn't too bad, so I may still consider it. Just hoping that I've stopped growing!! DH wants me to try and weigh the boobs, lol, not sure he can believe how big they've got... Not sexy though, they're going very blue-veiny too Shock Ugh. Dread to think what they'll look like afterwards!!

wilhelmeaner · 14/06/2014 21:14

Ah well once I had finished bf, mine were about 2 sizes smaller than they used to be and definitely a little further south. I am not looking forward to seeing what will happen after number 2. The veiny look goes away though. That's some jump though Nessa, I went from an E to a FF and then down to a D after I'd finished. Think I'm probably back up to an E now though. It's actually nice having them a bit fuller again.

This is probably a really stupid question but can I use antihistamine eye-drops? That spray you suggested has really helped Juni but my eyes are still so itchy.

DulcetMoans · 14/06/2014 23:24

Wow, J-normous knockers on here!

I'm out for a birthday tonight combined with football viewing of course! I've found a new way to et away with not drinking - secret mocktails! You need a willing barmaid though. (Tomorrow I will tell you an extension to this story that might have outted me in a sitcom style!) mocktails = sugared up to my eyes though!

Crochet is mixed success - I seem to e creating a spiral item. But I could make a round blanket!?

JuniDD · 14/06/2014 23:38

My friend did a gorgeous spiral crochet blanket. I can knit but not crochet. Looking forward to the mocktail story tomo!

I am not watching football but being kicked plenty from inside!

J cups... Shock wow!

DulcetMoans · 15/06/2014 09:23

Oh that's positive juni, maybe I can make a spiral blanket too! Not sure how to end it though - just keeps going and going?

Just realised its Father's Day - did anyone do anything for their DP/DH? Never really thought about it much and wonder if I missed an opportunity.

So, cocktail story. It was all working out beautifully. They had dozens o cocktails but not mention of non-alcoholic drinks. I had snuck up to the bar and asked whether they could make mocktails and the girl was really helpful and basically said they can make most things as a mocktail and I could just tell her the flavours I wanted and she will make one. Fab! I had a mango and pineapple mojito first and it was possibly the nicest thing I have ever tasted and it looked the part so no one questioned it. Then we all found out cocktails were half price until 9pm. Inevitably we all piled to the bar at about 10 to 9 to stock up. Me and DH got up here first with a list of 6 cocktails, 2 of which were mocktails for me. Some of the other girls turned up at the bar to order theirs and stood by the till. My new favourite barmaid rung our order up as he was making them and left the word 'mocktail' on the display right where they stood. I got a bit twitchy but thought they might not notice so ignored it. Then she tarted making my new mocktail, a blueberry number she had recommended that became my new favourite but she never told me the name. She put some shots in it and I got a bit stressed and was trying to tell her that was meant to be a mocktail but it's loud and busy so quiet is difficult. Turns out that wasn't mine and she ran though all the glasses, pointing out the ones that were alcohol free to us and all our friends if they choose to listen. Then she started making mine an it looked great so this stranger next to me asks me what it is and I'm stumped. Partly I don't know and partly because I would then have to admit its alcohol free! The barmaid took over and loudly explained that it was a mocktail and probably not what stranger wants, stranger agrees.

So in the process of getting these drinks I just felt like it all ramped up and up until the barmaid had pointed out that I wasn't drinking a good 20 times! Friends never mentioned it so not sure they really clocked it. But if I was them, I would have and I would be asking questions!

Upside is - mocktails are wonderful!

(Sorry that's so long!)

RPopz · 15/06/2014 09:47

Haha they were probably so hopped up on their non mocktails they didn't notice! Grin Plenty of your 5 a day there in all that fruit juice!

Working in the round can be tricky Dulce - it took me ages to get to grips with. Rows are easier - you can just keep going and going and going until its the size you want, and it works up quite quickly if you use a tall stitch like treble cochet. Did you give up on your granny squares?

Anyone got any exciting plans.for today? x

RPopz · 15/06/2014 09:48

Aaah I debated buying DH a father's day card from the foetus when I was buying my Dad's card!!! But then I couldn't decide if that was really tragic / if it was too early and jinxy.... so I didn't! Confused

HungryHorace · 15/06/2014 10:18

I got a card for DH last year, but I was 39 weeks' pregnant (and waited til the Thursday before to buy online in case baby came!).

He's got the matching '1st Father's Day' card today. No presents as we won't do those til the kids are old enough to want to get involved!

Dulcet, how awkward. I'd have been mortified if I were you. I hope they didn't clock it!

RPopz · 15/06/2014 15:24

Well I just went out for a look and bought a bedroom carpet... whoops. Expensive day!

DulcetMoans · 15/06/2014 16:25

Wow, that was an epic post. Didn't appreciate that at the time - sorry!!

Is it a lovely carpet popz? Worth it I'm sure. I hate carpet shopping but I love having new soft carpets!

Nessalina · 15/06/2014 16:37

New carpets are awesome Smile Though definitely in the class of 'things that until I owned a house I thought costed way less than they actually do'! Grin

wilhelmeaner · 15/06/2014 16:47

Aw Dulcet, bless you. If they did clock it, it was good of them not to say anything.

I am getting grief for not getting MrWil a present! He's impossible to buy for though and actually I just never got round to it as I've been feeling so dodgy.

RPopz · 15/06/2014 16:53

Haha tell me about it Ness! To be fair this one was in the sale so could've been worse. Its for the spare room (formally Mr Rpopz's toy store/ junk room) which is massive. So was expecting to have to pay mega bucks for some cheap crap. But turns out there was a sale on at our local carpet place and we managed to get a nice quality one for 50% off Grin

Done nothing else useful today..m had loads of grand plans for cleaning, crochet, diy, dog walking.... so far I've sat on the sofa, eaten digestives and felt sick and sorry for myself! Oops.

DulcetMoans · 15/06/2014 20:39

Popz, I can only seem to crochet in circles. WHY?! Going to try rows now but how do I turn around?!

Are you planning a belated fathers day present then wil or will he let it go?

RPopz · 15/06/2014 20:55

Haha.. erm... you need to do a chain which is a wide as you want your finished product to be, (but don't slipstitch the ends together like tou would for a circle - just leave it as a long chain) then do your first row of stiches into the top of the chains. When you get to the end you do one/two/three chain stitches depending on height of stitch you're using and then flip it over and go back and stitch into the tops of the stitches on your first row and repeat ad nauseum or until its as big as you want it.... If you can make sense of that! There's some good videos on YouTube, that's how I taught myself. x

wilhelmeaner · 15/06/2014 21:17

That sounds like a different language.

Mmm I'm not sure if putting effort in after the event is worse than not doing it at all? We did give him a card. And would have taken him out for dinner but we were all out at a function all day so couldn't really. Don't know, might try to think of a random nice thing for him.

RPopz · 15/06/2014 22:13

You're building him a new baby, is that not present enough!? Grin Wink

wilhelmeaner · 15/06/2014 22:22

That's so funny, it's pretty much what I just said to him. He made me a cup of tea and said "I just love being your man-slave." So I said "I just love being your baby oven." However I am fast learning that you don't get away with so much second time around.

RPopz · 15/06/2014 22:38

You should get away with more if you ask me! I can barely look after myself right now never mind a small person too! Smile

Minion · 16/06/2014 07:23

Morning gals.
In Tuscany, weather is grim but it's so lush and pretty. We even watched fireflies the other night. (After working out it wasn't a person at the tip of the steps with a torch, waiting to knife us that is), so cool, sitting out in a lightening storm doing it!
Sampled the vineyards wine, small glass but so good, we're taking a few bottles home and the husband says he will save one till baby is here!

Went to Florence yesterday. Big big city, didn't realise it was quite so big, but the architecture (and cannoli) were amazing! However all that walking up hills etc is being paid for now.. Achy bump indeed. And I'm getting those stretchy type pains in groin... Oosoooosssshhh.

Anyways I was off to make a lush brekkies on the veranda but it's raining, so do I wait for him to fully rise to make the most of our lie in, or get up and have brekkies indoors?
That's the sum total of my problems today and if it remains like that, a all is well.

Off to walk the city walls in Lukka shortly. Please pray for sun x
