Are we all agreed that feta is safe? Because I've eaten my own body weight the past couple of days and I'm not planning on stopping either!

Well, I'm in bed Grin it's amazing! Got no telly yet so no reason to stay up ignores work totally.

DH has been amazing; he bought me co-op posh stroganoff and veg for dinner because he's going out. I didn't even ask him, I was expecting omelette again.

Tiredness hit this afternoon, though I'm still unsure if it's not just post-holiday fatigue. Told another girl at work, just cos I'm busting to tell people. She's only been there a couple of weeks on supply, so hasn't got gossipy links yet! I'm hoping it'll be ok Grin

Worrying that I'm not feeling sick/peeing enough/ changing colour in the appropriate places. Tempted to POACBdigi to make sure it's gone to 3+ now, but nervous in case it hasn't. Daft isn't it, I've had no bleeding or signs to say everything is anything but fine. Keep listing all the people I know who had totally normal first pregnancies. Also waiting for the midwife to call, was meant to hear from her today, but my phone died so she may have called later.

Loving all the scan pics and cheese talk Grin I mixed up cheese savoury for sandwiches for tomorrow and then realised we have no bread Angry now worrying that that didn't upset me as much as it should have done Hmm

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 20:30

Yeah it's fine. Was one of the first "is safe in pregnancy" searches I did! Had a shit ton for tea too.

Yours will come out like that Poly but with another baby next to it. Because you're having twins.

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 20:33

What's cheese savoury Retro?! Your first few weeks sounds exactly like mine - worried about lack of symptoms. I did take a CB digi in the end and it had gone up and I relaxed a lot. So maybe doing another one won't necessarily be a bad thing?

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 20:38

Don't worry Retro I had no sickness or anything in my first pg I didn't know how lucky I was. Enjoy it, it might all change!

I don't envy this couple in the slightest!

Fancy I think I'll drop a bollock if I see twins on the scan (wouldn't that be impressive, twins and balls!)

Oh fancy, it's disgustingly amazing. Grated cheese mixed with coleslaw. Yum.

Decided that I am going to get evening sickness, as this time seems to be when I get that weird empty/hungry feeling. Especially if I've just eaten. I'm coping by going to sleep. Night night.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 20:55

Cheese and coleslaw is the absolute dream!! Yum!!

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 20:57

I may be buying coleslaw tomorrow as well as more olives and feta

Thanks ladies - scan was fine!! Ok, it was amazing! I lay and cried! (soppy cow!) My little baby wriggled and somersaulted all over the screen! Baby is now 6.5 cm and they've brought my due date forward to 10th December! Still had a funny colour when I wiped today but not this evening, so fingers crossed that will be it! xx

htbftm · 03/06/2014 21:08

What a fabulous pic Little! So exciting! I gained 4 days today too - every little helps lol! :-) xx

lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 21:08

Htb that's fab news Smile

Savoury cheese is amazing, oh god I'm going to have to get some tomorrow now

htbftm · 03/06/2014 21:14

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 21:19

Glad your scan went well Htb Smile

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 22:25

Anyone else not had a scan yet and terrified after watching the quads programme tonight?

Zermatt · 04/06/2014 01:13

I've read the NHS site again and you're right chilly it does specify blue hard stilton is safe. Happy days.

english I agree that you should be careful re regarding what the country you live in recommends as the safe food and unsafe food. Australia is over the top though in my opinion re cheese, they don't have feta on the safe list here and yet they are not allowed to sell cheeses made from unpasteurised milk in this country.

I've called in sick today as spent most of last night being sick :(

Zermatt · 04/06/2014 07:00

I know it's early days for most of us but what kind of birth do you fancy having (apart from a quick a pain free as possible one)? Home birth, drug free, hypnobirthing been reading about all of this today and threads like these;

sazzlehopes · 04/06/2014 07:40

Congrats to little and hub on scan news - so lovely. And great to see a picture too.
Glad we are still managing to fill post after post on cheese talk. I'm off to the supermarket later and cheese is top of my list! I think Boursin is fine, isn't it just fancy cream cheese with a tonne of garlic mixed in? Says this confidently having eaten a load already

Zermatt the birth thing. This is my second. My first was emcs in the end although started as a home birth. No stress though I'm going for a vbac this time and hoping for water birth at hospital. Had a consultation apt last night at the hospital about it and they seemed pretty ok with me trying to go as natural as poss but in a hospital environment and I'm fine with that idea.

sazzlehopes · 04/06/2014 08:48

Urh spellcheck on the iPad is so annoying! HTB not hub!!!

lindamagoo · 04/06/2014 08:53

Zermatt I'm having a boring old section, so I don't play any part in the birth other than shaking, lol. Have to have it for medical reasons and problems in previous birth. If I could choose though I'd have a natural delivery with gas and air Smile

fancyacupoftea · 04/06/2014 09:01

I intend to sneeze and a clean baby pops out smiling. No fuss, no pain, no mess, no time, no recovery. And I'm going to write this on my birth plan.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 04/06/2014 09:01

Oh Zematt - if its all made of pasteurised milk I'd prob eat the cheese too then! Enjoy!!

I kind of want as natural as possible, but in a hospital environment incase I change my mind and want ALL the drugs or needed medical intervention. I think i'm quite a tough cookie so as long as I didn't need medical help I think sheer bloodymindedness would get me through! .....She says now! haha!!

fancyacupoftea · 04/06/2014 09:43

Same Zermatt - I think I want to see what I can do but in an environment where if I change my mind I'm okay. Thankfully my hospital has a mw led unit the floor below the doctor led delivery suite so any issues/change your mind about pain they just shove you in the lift.

Although after that poo yesterday I think I can handle anything.
