I'm sure the NHS have done all the investigations for us ladies. They wouldn't put it on the safe list if there was a risk. I'm going to devour it! Smile

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 18:10

But Stilton isn't necessarily blue. All blue veined cheeses are a no go unless cooked.

Yay fancy, great news and lovely scan pic Smile

chillychicken · 03/06/2014 18:31

Poly the NHS page I linked to states that hard blue cheeses such as stilton are safe to eat uncooked.

I'm just following NHS guidelines on food. I have the website saved on my phone so I can just bring it up if I'm unsure of anything.

I've had such a shit day I could easily down a bottle of wine and eat a massive chunk of brie

MademoiselleG · 03/06/2014 19:09

I will happily be your guinea pig and demolish camembert and stilton for you as I type! DH is away so bring on the bread, cheese and er....no red wine. That sucks.

fancy we are EDD twins, I am Jan 6th too! ....which is exactly the same due date as DD was....! Although she took her time and was only born on January 17th, so I am not expecting this one to be much different! Poor kids. A January birthday AND they might not even get their own!

sazzlehopes · 03/06/2014 19:23

I'm happy to test the blue Stilton...my baby comes out first! If it looks blue and odd you'll have to stop eating it. Deal?
Kidding, obvs.
But I am going to eat a bit as I've never had listeria so feel confident about my food buying choices!

Littlebear81 · 03/06/2014 19:24

Hi everyone,
Loving the cheese talk. I'm guessing roule and boursin are out?
Glad everything's ok Fancy
Had 12 week scan today so finally got a confirmed due date of 13th Dec which makes me 12+3 today. Here's a pic of our little cutie!

Now THAT'S a picture!!! Look how clear it is! That's amazing LittleBear, congratulations. Are you going to be telling everyone now?

Ooh boursin hadn't thought about that.

I might just eat all the cheese but melt it all first. That'll sort it out.

Mademoiselle she said 5th Jan to me! That was what the mw said too so it seems the reliable answer (for now). Gained 3 days which is good. I reckon you'll still beat me though (baby race? Loser buys the other one cheese and red wine).

Littlebear81 · 03/06/2014 19:32

They told me to empty my bladder beforehand so not sure if that's why it's so clear. You can't see it's arms though but trust me it has two!

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 19:40

Ahhhh Little, thats such a good pic!! Smile

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 19:45

I wish I could say the same about the arms Little - one was resolutely hidden!

lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 19:56

Little what a great scan pic, so cute Smile
Having a crap day today, felt so sick all day, hardly moved off the couch, now I'm getting a sore throat and started bleeding a little again Hmm Sorry for the "poor me" post

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 20:00

Sorry you have more bleeding today Linda.... try not to worry. I know thats easier said than done. First trimester is fun huh?!?! NOT!! Seems to be fully of worry and puking (for some).

lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 20:03

Has to be a girl English, only a girl would cause this many problems, lol. I'm not going to worry myself this time.

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 20:04

OP posts:
broodysnoopstie · 03/06/2014 20:05

lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 20:05

Yep Poly I am. It's just started and my boys are loving it Smile

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 20:06

No Poly what is it? That reminds me though, talking of TV - I was going to watch The Secret Life of Babies, did anyone see it?

Sorry about the crap day Linda, hope the bleeding subsides and you start to feel better soon.

broodysnoopstie · 03/06/2014 20:07

It's on after quads Fancy

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 20:08

Ha thought it was last night. Well that's good!

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 20:08

It's about a couple who had 2 sets of identical twins in one pg! Amazing. I couldn't cope with 4 babies. I'm a little concerned I might be having twins Hmm

OP posts:
lindamagoo · 03/06/2014 20:11

So ds has just told me he wished daddy had planted more seeds in my tummy so we could have 4 babies Grin

fancyacupoftea · 03/06/2014 20:11

It looks good, just put it on. Sod the work!

I thought it was going to be a show about quad biking.

EnglishGirlsReturned · 03/06/2014 20:14

An evening of baby programmes...perfect!
Four at the same time though!! Jesus! Shock

PolytheneGirl · 03/06/2014 20:15

Lol Fancy.

Talking of baby race, me and SIL were pg at the same time with our firsts. She was due 5/8 and I was due 31/8. I had mine on her due date and she went over 3 days GrinGrinGrinGrin so I had the first grandchild!!!!!GrinGrinGrinGrinGrin GET IN!
